ani, dec, queen love the sound of your ads!have no idea what mine would say.
shop you can make serious cash if you decide to sell them hereGrin.
sleep ,NAP sales are always at the end of june, its best to try selfridges or harrods if you have their card, you can get%30 off,and DH waves and says if you ever do the doha-london route again,he promises to keep an eye for weird colored padi

Annianni · 01/05/2013 15:58

I would do Amber but i'm not on fb anyone.

Hang on, I'll get dsd to do it instead :o

Just tried the Goldsign Diva's on and they are fab. Lovely and soft, a darker denim than the ones I've pinned. And a similar fit to my Gap distressed ones.
They look great rolled up.
I just need to chop a few inches off the length.

Annianni · 01/05/2013 16:12

Dsd's done it Amber.

QueenCadbury · 01/05/2013 16:20

I'm currently looking tres chic wearing just one slipper. Dd is very upset that she can't wear both of hers so I thought seeing me look silly too would make her feel better. Maybe a trend that could catch on?

QueenCadbury · 01/05/2013 16:21

amber i've already done it. I actually really like those shoes. You lot must be converting me!

libertychick · 01/05/2013 16:51

Drywhite I recently cleared out an embarrassing number of ?occasion dresses? mostly bought for weddings which is why I urge caution! I don?t understand why I feel no guilt in spending £300-£500 on dress, clutch, shoes for a one off occasion like a wedding which I frequently never wear again (and pay to get hair and nails done) but I dither over spending £100 on something like an Me & Em dress which I would probably wear once a week for a year. Anyone else do this???

QueenC fingers crossed that your DD?s leg isn?t fractured ? poor little thing.

Cannot think what I would put in a personal ad. Possibly a combination of Dec?s and Drywhite?s combined with the super flattering photo approach used by Anni (absolutely love that you scored with ?blah, blah, blah? BTW!). An honest ad would be similar to QueenC re the psycho week once a month but I think I should leave some surprises for the lucky respondents Grin.

Thanks AndiMac - hope you are feeling better.
Welcome back blond. Did I read that right? A 60km bike ride!!! And you still have energy left to mop the floor??

Great news that the scarf is such a success Foxy I have bookmarked the site and watching like a hawk for it to come back into stock.

Today I wore the yellow BR skirt, with Cos off white and black stripe T, dark grey fitted herringbone jacket ? Episode, bought in charity shop on Marylebone High St for £15, nude tights, M&S snakeskin flats and oversize Zara black lace scarf. Really liked the look.

shopafrolic · 01/05/2013 17:01

Done Amber

Sleep it's from a website called cashmere rainbow. One of their silk/cashmere mix shawls, there are lots of diff colours but cobalt now seems to be sold out

Liberty I really hope it comes back into stock for you, fingers crossed

foxysocks · 01/05/2013 17:11

Shop my j crew tee is the vintage cotton crew neck, i really like it and will probs get more at some point. I don't think the flats will fit me if they don't work for you as I'm a UK5, but maybe someone else will want!

MarshaBrady · 01/05/2013 17:14

Hi everyone. Love the descriptions. Pleased we have so much in common [shopping] Wine Grin.

Ds2 put my phone in a watering can full of water today. What fun. I'd probably do exactly the same if I was 3 and a half and saw an iphone next to some muddy water.

Then I panicked as meeting two people tomorrow, nothing but their mobile numbers on my phone - even though I've known one friend for over 20 years, I just really rely on the phone! Then dh said just ring Vodafone and get the last few numbers you called. Thank god! Clever clogs.

MarshaBrady · 01/05/2013 17:15

Ah homework hour, want to catch up. Back in a bit.

Hopefully · 01/05/2013 17:19

So if you bought a Nails Inc nail varnish from John Lewis that described itself as neon and was, in fact, not remotely neon, would you be within your rights to demand a refund/exchange? Green neon varnish is emphatically not neon, is quite a nice grass green, not even that bright. Have painted one nail. Grr.

shopafrolic · 01/05/2013 17:26

Oh dear! Sorry Hopefully
Marsha shove it in a bowl of rice in the airing cupboard and it should come back to life after a few days

Not your fault shop! Looked good online. Am wondering how consumer rights affect degrees of neon-ness...

shopafrolic · 01/05/2013 17:35

Try a second coat and if it doesn't come good then YY take it back!

blondambition · 01/05/2013 17:35

Done Amber! They are cool shoes, remind me of Rainbow Bright would go with anything!

Good news on the scarf Foxy, what a bargain!

Ha ha Liberty - yes 60km, but the floor mopping was half-arsed! It's my real passion so I do it a lot, and on a proper road bike so it only takes about 2 hours. Will prob do the same again tomorrow as DS at nursery.

Hopefully I reckon you could return it, although liking the sound of grass green!

MarshaBrady · 01/05/2013 17:36

Thanks Shop in rice as we chat. Fortunately I was due a free upgrade so I have a new one on it's way.

Hopefully yes take it back, say it's not neon.

MarshaBrady · 01/05/2013 17:36

Blond good to see you back!

Hopefully · 01/05/2013 18:37

The grass is perfectly nice, but it's not what I wanted. . DH agrees that JL will take it back. Luckily it has a great big sticker saying NEON on it, so they are unlikely to argue.

I have decided that I need a McQueen-esque kimono thing for wafting in. Obvs for a slightly smaller budget. I'm actually thinking it could be pretty easy to make such a thing. I would then be able to rock this look. Because my legs look EXACTLY like that. Cough.

MarshaBrady · 01/05/2013 19:45

I can really see you in that style Hopefully. Spot on.

McNally · 01/05/2013 20:15

Lured back in , mainly to express Envy at shop and the possibility of getting hold of those Madewell flats. Love that he's taking your shopping list on his new job trip. How lovely.

Had a rare shopping opportunity yesterday. Bought this white jumper (looks better in real life, promise) and this pretty white top from All Saints. Love the top, but not sure the neckline loves my biggish chest so may have to return it.

Similar story for this Comptoir des Cotonniers biker style jacket. Really like this style of jacket but possibly too short and large of chest to suit it.

Just need another 8 inches or so of height and a few less inches on the chest and all my problems would be solved basically Smile.

Loving all the neon Hopefully. Feeling inspired (and by the weather) to go bright tomorrow. Bet John Lewis will accept a return on that nail polish.

QueenC really hope your DD makes a swift recovery. Poor little one.

Decameron · 01/05/2013 21:07

I am going to come if DH will mind the little darlings, Sleep but I will not be river dancing!! I don't think I'd get any takers with that ad, lucky I met DH long ago.

I suppose it was very tempting, Marsha! DD2 threw my new book in the bath this evening. But she still wouldn't get it, grr. I'll have to hose her down if this continues.

I'm the opposite, Liberty, I prefer to spend the money on jeans or a jacket. I'm a sahm though so get more use out of casual clothes. Some day I will don a designer suit again!

I have spent two hours trying to clear my closet, I am being ruthless now. Hard with the DDs "helping." Out out out if it isn't amazing!

I'm also very impressed at the 60k, Blond.

Really like that broderie anglaise top, McNally, I've repinned!

I'm sure John Lewis will take the nail polish back, Hopefully. That kimono is beautiful.

Amber, will vote.

Decameron · 01/05/2013 21:08

get in, not get it. I had to retrieve the sodden book myself.

The new bag with navy sounds like a good combination, Anni.

QueenCadbury · 01/05/2013 21:14

hopefully make sure you have it on your nails when you take it back so they can see for definite that it is not neon. They should definitely exchange. I once took some worn (and washed I should add) pants back to m&s as they were not non vpl as advertised!

shopafrolic · 01/05/2013 21:20

Waves at McNally DH is ace I'm very lucky, but he is even more chuffed that I can now get stuff delivered to the hotel rather than him having to track it all down in-store.....
Ladies - can you help my lovely friend with an internet shopping issue? She bought a dress in two different sizes, and returned the one that didn't fit to the online retailer (Celeb Boutique). They are acknowledging receipt of th eparcel, but are saying that the box was tampered with and that the dress was not there. As a result, they are refusing to refund. Do any of you lovely people know any consumer rights speak that we could quote to try and get her a refund (they owe her over £100). TIA
