Have your biscuits mysteriously vanished? Grin

shopafrolic · 30/04/2013 22:07

So Madewell have the best customer service ever! They've emailed me details of all store locations en route for DH from airport to office location! He has no excuse! Other than he is starting a new job and shopping for me may not be his number 1 priority.

QueenC your poor DD! when will you know if it is fractured for definite? I have got in the habit of lip balm before bed, and I sometimes apply a small slick of cheap lip balm such as chapstick before reapplying my lipstick during the day. That seems to be enough for me.

My dating ad would read: "Look taller than I am. Occasionally slightly scary and intimidating, but perfectly happy with that state of affairs and not intending to change any time soon. Free with purchase: two slightly grubby children.' Grin

Curses, I have a class on the 18th, or I'd love to come.

Oh crap, it's 10pm and I was meant to tidy my office up this evening. there are piles of fabric on every vaguely horizontal surface. Whoops.

Drywhiteplease · 30/04/2013 22:10

QueenC poor DC...kids are amazing though, did she get a coloured plaster? ( up here they call them "pots") hope you are ok too...v stressful taking your child to hospital.
Wine

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 30/04/2013 22:11

Shop You are his number one priority and you want shopping, so yes, it is.

My DH is at a work conference in Warwick, feck all he can buy me from there!

shopafrolic · 30/04/2013 22:12

I always joke that I bought my DH for £12.99 a month for 3 months. Bargain when you think about the tossers I used to date!

Grin at shop getting all the stores en route for dh. Am beginning to feel sorry for the poor man Grin

drywhite no cool colour at the moment, just an old fashioned plaster of Paris. We go back to clinic on Thursday when they've reviewed the X-rays properly and if it's a definite fracture she'll get one then which'll stay on 3-4 weeks. She's doing fine-at 22 months they just accept anything. Can't believe I bought her new trainers today though and she may not be able to wear them Grin.

Thanks for advice. I'll check out Carmex. travel I don't think I've been licking more than usual but maybe I have. Or maybe dh has sabotaged my lipsticks so I don't ever wear them again...

santamarianovella · 30/04/2013 22:23

dryi wish DH would say these magic words to me.
shop i never would have though you were the partying kind at all, you always sound so calm and sensible.
paris i wish i was taller too,i feel like a little girl next to DH and all his family.

QueenCadbury · 30/04/2013 22:24

Just got an email from office and am loving these sandals. Pity I don't need them.

shopafrolic · 30/04/2013 22:30

Santa I am calmer and a bit sensible now! But in my younger days I was a 24 hour party person. In fact sometimes 72 hours. Do I really come across as calm and sensible? How very dull! :)

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 30/04/2013 22:37

Nice shoes Queen. Especially the name!

Santa I am taller than all the females in DH's family by 1/2 inch as they are teeny.

In the real world however, it is very different. I was wearing my new 4.3inch heels at a party on saturday, feeling rather tall. Party hostess came to say hello. She complimented me on my shoes and said 'I bet you tower over me in those' (she was wearing trainers). I stood up so I could tower over her.

I so didn't tower over her.

She laughed and said 'You don't look it from a distance but you really are short aren't you!' I replied 'Oh, yes, I suppose I am thanks for pointing it out to me and a room full of strangers you bint

santamarianovella · 30/04/2013 22:41

queen your poor DD,i hope its not fractured.paris DH is a neat freak, his place was spotless,it was like no one lived there, now not so much.i caught him and DD this afternoon munching walkers chips on the bed. made me Angry.
i would love to come to the meet up,but we will be away that weekend first proper short break as a whole family in nearly six months.

MrsSheepiness · 30/04/2013 22:41

Poor DD Queen

So very jealous of the possibility of you getting those madewell leopard flats Shop we will all be hanging on whether you like them or not!!

Love that scarf Mrs R, I am slightly addicted to scarves, and feel underdressed without one, I am trying to convert myself to statement necklaces for when the weather gets better but I am just wearing both at the moment! On that note I loved the one on your blog today Amber.

My tip for keeping your lips in good condition....lansinoh nipple cream, I bought it before DD1 arrived and never needed to use it for its intended purpose, don't quite know how it ended up on my lips but it is amazing and knocks Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream out of the water especially as it smells so much better. I swear by it for lots of things, it's just pure lanolin.

MrsSheepiness · 30/04/2013 22:44

Ooh love the sandals Queen I need some navy ones but without the ankle straps for my stumpy legs

Drywhiteplease · 30/04/2013 22:47

shop were you the mad Manchester/ Ibiza clubber? I remember someone on here saying that and thinking how boring I was in my 20s .....making up for it now though! Grin

My ad would read ; "I'm smaller and louder than I look. I'll talk and love you to death. Easily pleased. High maintenance-looking low maintenance woman. Laughter essential. No Hoorays"

santamarianovella · 30/04/2013 22:53

i have trouble keeping up!
shop you are not dull.and im Envy of your partying days.i partied a little at uni,and was hospitalized once.had too much! was in hospital for 2 days. that ruined any partying for meGrin.
paris both my sil are over 5"9 and im 5"5. even DH commented once he saw me without heels how small i look!

libertychick · 30/04/2013 23:22

Quick hello - God I am narked I can't make the 18th!!!

Shop I have frequently thought how great it would be to have someone from here on hand when trying things on!

Dry high fives to your DH! But now to be a sensible voice - do you really need two dressy dresses especially as you like the Bella so much more - will you get the wear out of the Coast one or should you spend the money on something else????? or bank it for the next time you need an occasion dress and go hunting again???

santamarianovella · 30/04/2013 23:55

dry Grinthe way you described yourself louder and smaller than you think, its what my italian great aunt used to say to my mum whenever the argued.

shopafrolic · 01/05/2013 07:21

Dry that was me yup. Mad Manc clubber in my student days then Ibiza, London etc etc.
Santa hospital is not good! A lot of friends had the same experience. I should have learnt! But I was lucky. Lots of fun had and no real noticeable impact now other than I've lost some brain cells and can never remember much!! Not funny really Blush.
Paris boo to the party hostess
Play date day today so not much in the way of beautiful outfits here, what about you guys?

QueenCadbury · 01/05/2013 07:22

liberty speaking sense again-it's a good point dry.

Dd is as lively as ever this morning and certainly isn't going to let a plaster cast get in her way of doing anything!

santa my dh says he would never have proposed to me if he'd lived with me beforehand Grin. I'm a lot less messier now I don't work and actually have time for housework.

I'm still trying to think what my dating ad would say....

QueenCadbury · 01/05/2013 07:26
