So, I had my colours done yesterday and I am now a sprinter winter. My best colours being royal blue, electric blue, damson, lagoon blue and light emerald.

Of course a shopping trip is now required Grin so I'm just after any inspiration by what you fellow winters have recently bought...

Good morning fellow winters!
I just wanted to share that I bought a cobalt blue top yesterday for a tenner from good old H&M. It's long and loose, so it looks great with skinnies and hides my mummy tummy and wide hips Wink

Nice colour but pockets on my norks are a no, no for me!

Lovely but pockets no good for me either

I saw someone in a pale grey jumper with a grass green blazer the other day and thought what a great colour combo for winters. I am strictly navy, denim and black and am bored of it.

Bought a lovely pink t shirt in toast sale. They had a grass green one but it had sold out

Just looking at kettle well colours and saw that grass green is not a winter colour. I seem to be going a little off piste.

Levantine I think it depends on the shade of your grass Grin
I got an emerald green Gap blazer and have a cardigan in same colour from TKMaxx and think they're perfect bright, clear colours for me.
Works well with navy too.
Some of the Kettlewell colours are a bit softer in tone IME so maybe their grass is a bit warm and summery!

I'm desperate for something emerald as there's a real green hole in my wardrobe but I just haven't found anything suitable yet. I'm hoping come winter there may be more about.

maraki great colour, but like the others the pockets would not suit me.

I found a great damson coloured top in a charity shop the other day. I'm really after some coloured belts at the moment to lift my more neutral outfits. If anyone comes across any decent quality (preferably leather) with a silver buckle do let me know.

COS had some lovely emerald coloured cardigans and other bits when I went in the other day. Gap have an emerald green blazer too.

Ooh thanks fruit. I will check cos out. Never think to look at them online. Unfortunately blazers don't look great on me. I'm strictly a cardi girl!

Went for a browse today and thought I'd report back. Gap have some light emerald jumpers and oasis have a royal blue cardigan (neither are on line to link). Mango also still have the electric blue cardi that I bought last year. This belt is a Chinese blue colour.

What I actually was browsing for was a pink top or dress for dm birthday but couldn't find anything I liked.

fruit I like that cos cardi online but will wait till I go somewhere that has a store. In the meantime I'm going to attempt to dye a couple of cardigans that I have as they're 95% cotton so hopefully should work ok.

I agree the colours remind me of parots, but I love the neutral palettes!

I think I may need to try purple again. I remember trying it probably some time in the 80s and it looked like I had a black eye.

Anyone else do purple eyeshadow?

Deep dark purple eyeshadow looks great with my dark brown eyes. I blend it with dark grey for a smoky eye, but not this time of the year, it just looks wrong.

I do purple eyeshadow and eyeliner as my 'smoky eye'. I have green eyes and it makes them look very bright. Not too much under the eye though as it blends in with my dark circles!

Ok you've inspired me. Next time I'm in boots I shall check out purple eye shadows.

QueenC You could try purple eyeliner with your normal eyeshadow to ease you into it!

QueenC I have Bourjois Violet Artiste eyeliner. It isn't too vivid. I bought it as I had heard it was good for green eyes but didn't want to spend too much in case it looked crap.

Re eyeshadow. The Sleek Au Naturel palette has a purple shadow in it. Again, not too vibrant, more browny than proper purple. It's a good transition from total neutrals and the other colours in the palette are true neutrals like brown, grey and beige so are useable.

I am rhinking of getting some more vibrant purple so if anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful Smile

If you can find it, though I heard they've been discontinued, Dainty Doll has a fantastic purple eyeshadow. i think it's called purple haze or something similar. Tiny bit of sparkle in it and it really makes my blue/green eyes stand out. It's definitely good for the smoky eye look

I bought a bourjois purple liner and I really like it. Think I'll save the eyeshadow until winter when I tend to do smoky eyes more.

Bought this top. It's the perfect match for the cerise swatch.

For work I'm looking for a few cardis to wear over a top which I can put a belt round. I'd love a raspberry or fuschia one. Also on the look out for some winter coloured skinny jeans eg raspberry or burgundy. Any recommendations?
On the lip colour front, I bought a Soap and Glory 'Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick' in 'plum jam' and it is awesome - a very sheer shine of colour

I've got this cardigan which is cerise (much better colour irl than in the picture). Not sure what sort you're after though to wear with belts?
