I had a good day yesterday visiting DSM - she's in a fair amount of pain, but in good spirits, and we had a lovely afternoon putting the world to rights. I stopped off at Bicester Village en route, but I won't be going back - when did it get so high-end? Prada, YSL, Dolce & Gabbana.....nothing for a high street budget.
While I was out, the boiler engineer came round and fixed the blown transformer in the boiler, but told DH there was something wrong with the electrical connections to the programmer, and that "wasn't within his scope", so he switched everything off, and left. I came back to a freezing house last night, decided he was talking bollocks, switched everything on, fiddled with the programmer briefly, and voila! Boiler burst into life. And we are paying £30 a month for this "service".
Today I took the DDs to a local farm show, which was fun, but exhausting. I can't believe it's Sunday night already.
