First MGSM definitely, it is gorgeous, even nicer than the CK IMO.

shopafrolic · 17/04/2013 17:57

So on the way to my meeting with another Marketing contact this morning I crashed into the back of someone on a roundabout. I have never been responsible for an accident in my life. No-one hurt, other than a sore wrist and shoulder for me and dented pride and thankfully no damage to the vehicles. But they did try to make a big deal out of it to start with (the female passenger who spoke little English said she was coughing up blood) - I hit them at between 0 and 5mph. She soon stopped the discussion when I asked if she needed medical attention and pointed out the complete lack of damage to either vehicle.
Have had to log it with my insurers just in case.
Rubbish. So I haven't looked at links other than the neon tee which looks a definite keeper Foxy - good news! You look fabulously slim too!
Will try and look at stuff tomorrow when I ache less.
Upshot of the meeting is that I may be about to set up my own company! Eeeek!

Oh poor you Shop . I prang my car on a regular basis and it's so horrid, really shakes you up. My girlfriend just did hers yesterday and is getting it sprayed while her DH away!!!!!how did your DH get on in the final round? Your company set up sounds v exciting!
Marsha if you can't wait until sales there's a 20% off Jaeger voucher in May In Style ( if you want it I can send it to you)
Well, just as I was thinking that I'm just too much of a cheapskate to be on Vogue ( my NYResolution to buy less tat and more investment pieces is not going terribly well...just can't help myself!!) you all started mentioning Oxfam and Foxys fab £12 skirt.....so I'll stay and keep trying.
this arrived today. I paid £34.50 and it's actually quite nice. Thin, but looks ok with bf jeans snore and my black shift dress. No worse quality wise than Zara equivalent.
This week I'm trying not to wear black trousers yawn or denim jeans snore...... Have worn burgundy skinny jeans to work and caramel 7/8 today ( cold anklesGrin)

OneLittleLady · 17/04/2013 18:27

dry I'm a cheapskate too, I love a good bargain and never pay more than I have to for what I want. My £10 DKNY dress is proof of that Grin

I hope you're ok shop even a little prang can be scary

MarshaBrady · 17/04/2013 18:31

I go through stages Dry. Splurges and cheapskate. Love a good bargain so £12 tees a plenty here. Love that jacket. Thanks for offer of the Jaeger code, if am in splurge part by then may do it.

Oh no Shop poor you, re the crash. Although congrats on good marketing lunch!

Drywhiteplease · 17/04/2013 18:33

I was in TKMaxx today and there were a couple of Missonni scarves.... They were all synthetic and shiny and thin and horrid really......£30 odd, I just don't get it at all. Am I missing something? Am I too granny for granny fashion?Grin

Sleepwhenidie · 17/04/2013 18:46

Sorry about your bump Shop, hope the aches go away tomorrow. I have had a few stupid incidents in the car recently that I sorted out but forgot to mention to DH, eg grazing the rear wheel arch of a neighbours parked car whilst squeezing into a space, wrenching off my wing mirror whilst parking too close to a dumpster thing Blush

Mango leopard print shorts have arrived, I went for a size 10 but they look miniscule, cannot see how on earth I am going to fit my bum in them. Spain obviously doesn't go in for vanity sizing, I am usually an 8! Also have a customs fee of £37 to pay for the shopbop sweater Hmm, so I'm not thrilled.

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2013 19:01

Found your Shoes santa

Sleepwhenidie · 17/04/2013 19:12

Those are gorgeous Amber...alternatively, how about these

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2013 19:16

See, I'm my own worst enemy because now I want a pair of green pointy courts, somewhere between neon and lime.

santamarianovella · 17/04/2013 19:21

thanx marsha and sleep,
i do hope you feel better shop, ice pack on shoulder before it begins to throb.
those will looks fab with the dress amber, love the navy straps.

there is a%20 off code at shopbop, it ends tomorrow if anyone is interested.

Decameron · 17/04/2013 19:59

Foxy, you have an amazing figure. The Celine skirt is gorgeous.

Hope you are ok, Shop. I hate roundabouts!

I really like the first dress, Santamarianovella.

My navy Whistles lena blazer arrived, I like it but a little sorry now that I bought it in black, might try to return that one as it is as yet unworn.

Austique have 10% off with the code SPRING10. Very tempted by these as I have been looking for a while for skinny grey jeans. But still very expensive.

libertychick · 17/04/2013 21:31

Foxy have you taken down the pics? I can't see them.

MrsR I love the Grensons. Your shoe links also have me sighing over the mid heel JV's too.

Santa another vote here for the first dress.

QueenCadbury · 17/04/2013 21:52

Yet again I can't keep up with all!

foxy what the hell are you talking about saying you need to lay off the Easter eggs?? I looked at your photos and was Envy of your figure. Obviously being mrs navy/grey here I'm not peronally keen on the neon but if you can pull it off then go for it. I agree it would look fab with white jeans.

santa definitely the 1st dress too. And I do like the heels that amber linked to.

shop hope you're ok. Sounds exciting about your own company.

Sorry if I've missed out anyone else's links. I have the memory of a sieve!!

libertychick · 17/04/2013 22:01

Hope you are ok Shop. Good luck with the company set up - pm me if you have any questions - my top tip is find an accountant who will do it all for you!

MrsSheepiness · 17/04/2013 22:07

I was wondering if I could join you, I've been lurking since the avid&wise days but never plucked up the courage had anything interesting enough to contribute. I've just started pining my wardrobe and looks to try and am now addicted to Pinterest too, so thought now might be time to join in.

I'm currently hunting for a dress for a christening,I'm trying to convince my husband that as its our cotton anniversary this year he should buy me a DVF...... Not getting any where with that just yet!!!!

QueenCadbury · 17/04/2013 22:13

Welcome mrssheep. Let's have a look at the dvf dress you want...

libertychick · 17/04/2013 22:17

Welcome MrsSheep! I am just off to bed but provide some guidelines ie budget, body shape. preferred colours and always happy to have an excuse to look for a dress!

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2013 22:19

DVFs are generally silk MrsSheep, but we won't tell him ;)

I believe I'm due leather this year... The possibilities!

QueenCadbury · 17/04/2013 22:23

Just checked mine and I'm due copper Hmm. Would prefer leather. Although I guess technically he owes me...

santamarianovella · 17/04/2013 22:29

1st one it is, thanx everyone.will go to harvey on sunday as its sold out in my size at matches.i love the neon manolos.
to be honest its the anniversary that i dread the most,i havent seen DH extended family in almost 2 years, and im still referred to as a foreigner cause i have difficulty understanding them!
so i want to look smashingGrin ,and i do need to wear high high heels as everyone is taller than me and i look like a little girl standing next to them.Angry

Drywhiteplease · 17/04/2013 22:43

16 doesn't appear to have one so I'm going to yell him it's brik as I want an extension Grin....or is it car?Wink
Hello MrsSheep

Drywhiteplease · 17/04/2013 22:44

"Tell" "brick" bloody p text!

MrsSheepiness · 17/04/2013 23:09

Thanks for the replies, I using artistic license on the "cotton" bit Amber :) if you can find me a nice cotton dress that's fine, but for some reason I've got my heart set on DVF :) the wrap shape doesn't do anything for my body shape so I was thinking:

Zarita in nude

Akoni don't think ill get the budget for this though!!

www.matchesfashion.com/mobile/product/147160

My style is classic and I am what colour me beautiful now call "light, soft and warm" which I think is spring. Mostly I seem to wear, navy, coral, cream but am now hooked on mint for spring and can't seem to get enough of it!

I've wasted a whole evening on YouTube trying to find new ways to style my curly hair, I am still none the wiser, so back to wash and go again tomorrow!

shopafrolic · 18/04/2013 07:54

Morning all - I'm never sure with anniversaries - I read ours this year (4yrs) as leather - DH read it as flowers & food Confused
