dunno really. want big frames! don't think aviators suit me unfortunately, am not edgy enough.

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 12:38

FWIW, I found Ralph Lauren brands good for classic, BIG frames. Found some last spring in the sunglasses hut in Bath, they had some great deal on, and I've worn them almost non-stop. My poor red Wayfarers haven't had a look-in for a while.

Sleepwhenidie · 17/04/2013 12:46

Hi - I tried that dress before Christmas Carrie and was disappointed, there is quite a lot of fabric to ruche unless you are tall/want to wear it around your knees(I prefer a couple of inches above), it is also thicker than other jersey dresses I own in similar style - I don't have Me&Em but Velvet and Anglomania, the jersey in those clings softly whereas the Baujken one definitely felt like it was trying to hold me in IYKWIM. The blue didn't look as vibrant IRL as it does on the models either, it is more the shade it looks off the model in pics. Try it but if you are unsure on size I would err up rather than down.

Just back from a little trip to take DS1 and a friend to Choccywoccydooda on Carnaby Street, stopped in Liberty for the loo, it was torture not being able to browse Grin!

My Tom Ford aviators are in a sorry state, lost a nose grip on hols and one arm is bent outwards so they keep slipping down my face, I need to get them looked at, driving me maad! Foxy SecretSales have RayBans, including aviators, on sale at the moment, may be worth a look?

libertychick · 17/04/2013 12:48

Marsha are you still thinking about a nude/pale leather skirt?

Carrie and Foxy there are some great oversize sunnies in & Other Stories

foxysocks · 17/04/2013 12:54

That skirt is divine. Will look at sunnies suggestions now, thanks!

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 12:55

Thanks sleep, I think I'll give it a miss (and buy another Me&Em in their next sale).

Good tip on secretsales, off to have a look.

Thanks liberty for sunnies link. I'm good for big frames at the mo, so staying good and not looking lol!

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2013 12:59

That skirt is nice but Christ, the styling is naff! A horse print jumper? Really?

libertychick · 17/04/2013 13:02

[Grin] - styling is awful! But I thought Marsha could rock it with her yellows and bubblegum pink!

MarshaBrady · 17/04/2013 13:17

Love it Liberty! Thanks! I am going to wait til sales could do with 50% off Grin.

I have big Miu Miu graduated purple ones from Liberty. Not new though.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/04/2013 13:49

Bans are meant to be broken, MrsR. I'm also on a self-enforced shoe ban but have had my head turned by these (holding out gallantly, though). I did go back and buy the Cos bag just because it's so demure and pretty, unlike any of my other bags. I am waiting on that Evan clutch in orange too, as linked by anni. I ordered it from BR with a hefty discount a good few weeks back, but my Dsis has brought it back from the US for me and, at the moment, her luggage is missing Shock. All that after she endured a 14 hour delay to her flight home - I'll bet that was fun with 4 DCs in tow (not). I also received my white Baxters yesterday and love them - a perfect fit and look so good with both pairs of pumps I bought from &Other Stories. Now I just need the sun to come back...

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/04/2013 14:02

Love that skirt Liberty, but I can just imagine it defaced by biro or greasy fingerprints. I think I'd keep it in a glass case and gaze.

foxysocks · 17/04/2013 14:38

ooo had forgotton about white baxters as an option. might go and try some on tomorrow morning. thanks grumpy

neon tee is here and, erm, a bit bright rofl. the fit and cotton is absolutely lovely but am not sure I'm brave enough to wear it tbh. if I post a couple of pics is anyone willing to give me an opinion?

Am flying out door as sr. But yep do it!

Love the Celine too.

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 14:58

Can you sling your R&B jacket over top and see how that looks? Can't help but think it's a little harsh against your face.

Love the Celine skirt, BTW, styled beautifully Grin

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 15:01

Actually, looking at it again, I really like it, it's v zingy. For £12, it's hardly worth returning anyway, and I think it's really fresh.. Keep!

santamarianovella · 17/04/2013 15:03

Hi everyone,
I need some opinions,I'm ending my ban next weekGrinand first thing on my list is to find a dress for a wedding in late June, and my inlaws anniversary, so what do you think of this:
www.matchesfashion.com/product/140060
or this :
www.matchesfashion.com/product/139956

If money was no issue it would be this:
www.matchesfashion.com/product/149416 Wink
I like both the MSGM dresses, but I have no idea what shoes to wear with the navy lace dress, would love to hear your thoughts.

foxysocks · 17/04/2013 15:03

i look a bit blobby round the hips and tum

off on school run - you too marsha?! - will leave up till I get back then take em down!

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2013 15:04

It's exactly the sort of colour I'd wear but I think that shade only works for Autumns/Winters. Hopefully will be better judge...

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2013 15:06

I'd pick the first MGSM and wear with bright line green shoes.

Annianni · 17/04/2013 15:53

I say keep it Foxy, it'll be fab for Summer.
The Goldsign's look great too.

I agree with Amber, Santa.
The first dress is lovely.

I've been shopping again :o
I'll do links later.

Selfridges had some lovely jeans...

MrsRadicchio · 17/04/2013 16:30

foxy you are a slip of a thing! No need to bin the chocolate!

I think the t looks nice, but I know what you mean about neon, I feel the same about my gap trousers. I think it looks more muted on screen, in the flesh it is NEON!

Can you see yourself wearing it and what refund would you get if you sent it back?

I think it could work toned down with lots of grey, biker jacket and golsigns. Or I see it on a scorching hot day (dreaming) with white jeans and sandals.

I LOVE the celine skirt!

I also prefer the first dress Santa though I like the shape of the second. I like Amber's suggestion, I would probably be boring and wear something matching the colours of the dress. How about white shoes??

Well, I've ordered these. Can't stop thinking about them (sad) and want to see how they look in the flesh and how they go with things. If not, I may get these as an alternative. I want a comfy go anywhere brogue!

Shoe ban will be back in place after this. I want either a pair of Jalouse of H by Hudson black boots, but will wait until autumn for that.

foxysocks · 17/04/2013 16:36

i'll only get £12 if I send it back. i think would wear with all grey like you say MrsR, or with blue jeans and the grey biker and grey/coral kicks, or denim skirt/shorts when it's hot, or white jeans and silver sandals... oh look i've talked myself into it.

santamarianovella · 17/04/2013 17:24

thanx everyone,i will go with the first one,i do like the cut of the second dress, but i think its a bit too bright and cheery for my inlaws anniversary in scotland! and amberi like your suggestion, if you own a pair of neon shoes , can you lend meGrin.
i do have a white strappy one and a silver one, will take them with me when i go to try on the dress.

MarshaBrady · 17/04/2013 17:36

Foxy yes am back now Grin. You don't need to bin the choc you look fantastic. Sometimes for small £ amounts I will keep something even if it isn't entirely perfect, ie has to be put on with something else. I do really like it, and think it could look great with grey on grey.

Santa I adore the MSGM first one, would love that, am a big fan of the bright waist or trim.

Love ordering something and feeling like that MrsR.
