Brilliant news shop just gotta to keep everything crossed for next week Smile

Hopefully · 16/04/2013 20:00

Great news Shop! Really pleased for you.

shopafrolic · 16/04/2013 20:14

Hopefully you'd have been doubly proud of me today as for probably the first time ever I went out dressed head to toe in my colours.
I wore, dark blue skinny jeans, cream and red breton, cream Whistles Leni jacket, tan Spirals, Zara leopard print scarf, red lipstick, tan Mulberry bag, rose gold jewellery. My old work colleagues were all apparently amazed y how 'well' I looked Grin

Wow, so many links in one day. Even though I've only just looked at them I can't remember who posted what! Except anni and the bags and I love all those. I also have the gap navy one and love it as it fits purse, phone and nappies!

sleep how traumatic but as you say at least they will fall out soon so hopefully all will be fine.

shop great news for dh.

Thanks again to all of you wishing my cat well. Hopefully she's had all the cancer removed and our vet spoke to a vet oncologist (who knew such a thing existed?) who advised to do nothing else. Not sure what else we would do as I sure as hell wouldn't give a cat chemo.

Finally wore the boucle today but it felt all wrong and not really sure why. It was a considered purchase and I love it but I felt a bit drab in it. Maybe I am ready to embrace colour after all!

Drywhiteplease · 16/04/2013 21:52

QueenC I love that jacket, v tempted indeed have been looking for a Chanel style one for ages. Ordered one ( with 50% off from La Redoute) so will wait to see what it's like, but yours looks nicer.
shop great news, fingers crossed

BrandyAlexander · 16/04/2013 22:30

Evening all! Am exhausted. Just on way home from work.

QueenC, I like re boucle Smile. Hope your cat gets better.

Loved the sound of your outfit Shop and well done Mr Shop!

pickled, I love that mac! I am looking for a beige one, which is why I mentioned Burberry but if that's around in the autumn, I will get it from the States.

pickledsiblings · 16/04/2013 23:20

Oh Sleep, poor DD and her teeth, I'm sure you felt awful for her. I wouldn't have guessed that you are meant to push the teeth back into place . I hope she heals quickly.

Hopefully · 17/04/2013 07:20

Morning!

Am just dressing for a team meeting today (the only time I really see my colleagues) and debating whether I am going to cook in leather leggings (with asymmetric kettlewell t-shirt and bespoke blazer). Probably not, it's something like 9 degrees out at the moment, can't believe it's going to be a blazing hot day!

Annianni · 17/04/2013 07:45

I'd wear them Hopefully.

I'm miles away from you, but we've got heavy rain and 19mph winds.

Drywhiteplease · 17/04/2013 07:55

Go on Hopefully... I'm loving this in between weather clothes wise.

shopafrolic · 17/04/2013 08:02

Definitely wear them Hopefully - I know we're miles away but it's raining here

Hopefully · 17/04/2013 09:01

I have decided it is definitely cool enough for the leather leggings, and an very please about that as I wait in the cold for my lift!

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 09:24

Morning all!

Shop fab news Grin. Loving the sound of your outfit too!

I'm feeling quite good in my business casual today: black straight leg trousers (Zara, but they're not wearing brilliantly, and have got the Gap straight work trousers on their way), "crisp" white shirt (Thomas Pink, YEARS old, but still going strong), green Me&Em cardie/jacket, a neon green skinny belt, and leopard print ballet slippers (old from Boden). All topped with a beige Banana Republic mac. Very safe, but I feel quite pulled together.

What do we think to this dress Baukjen? I have the V neck one from Me & Em, and I wear it a lot - at least once a week for work, and sometimes outside work too. I have some of the Baukjen extra long Ts, and they work hard for me, are the dresses as good as Me&Em?

I also think it's time I retired my Boden leopard ballet slippers. I'm finding them harder to keep on my feet, so think they've over-stretched (I have had them for about 4 years though, and they've been resoled several times. They still look fine on the top though, so I hate to replace them, but they're starting to hurt my feet with that toe clench thing you have to do to keep too big ballet slippers on. So. A replacement pair. How do we feel about the scrunchy ballet slippers, do they stay on better? Any recommendations for very comfortable but not too pricey? I want decent quality, but don't want to spend more than about £75 max, I'd say. I LOVE my animal print, but also quite fancy nude with a black toe.

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 09:28

Oh goodness, I like these:

LK Bennett Zebra

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 09:34

And these, but have become a bit wary of Boden - the last few years the quality doesn't seem to have been as good (which is a pity, as I've always got a lot of the children's clothes from there, but their Ts don't seem to be washing as well as they used to) Boden golden flats. They might be a bit dull too...

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2013 10:41

I'm wearing Boden ballerinas today, funnily enough, as I hardly ever wear them!

MrsRadicchio · 17/04/2013 11:08

Carrie your outfit sounds nice. I like that baukjen dress a lot but have no experience of their stuff. The reviews look positive in the main. Whats the p&p and returns costs? Hate having to pay those when you're not sure if you're going to keep it.

Agree about Boden. I am trying to avoid their stuff but keep getting sucked back in with discount codes etc. Always send stuff back though. I like their boys clothes, bit more interesting and colourful than other places.

I've just made a few purchases from Oxfam online.

All things I have coveted in the shop. I know I've mentioned them before but you only pay for p&p once which is v generous as the items come from different locations and also returns are free, which again I think is v good.

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 11:10

Wow Mrs R, great finds!! [scuttles off to Oxfam]

Need to check out the Baukjen del and returns...there's probs a free code knocking around somewhere.

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 11:15

Look at these:

[[http://www.oxfam.org.uk/shop/womens-clothing/shoes/new-look-leopard-skin-ankle-boots-size-uk6-eu39-hd_100102410 Leopard print heeled boots]

Too high for me, but swit swoo!

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 11:16

Leopard print heeled boots

Oops link fail.

foxysocks · 17/04/2013 11:20

baukjen are SHIT on delivery and returns ime. another reason I am loathe to order from them unless I know exactly what i want. watch the fabric content too, they are getting very viscose-happy (and charging silk and cotton prices for it ...)

carrie I like the slipper style more than driving shoes - have you checked out jemima vine? love the neon trimmed flats and the snakeskin ones that amber has.

am also after leopard flats but can't get away from preferring pointed toes. come on Madewell, ship to the UK, you have a captive audience. am not 100% sure on size otherwise I'd get my mate to bring from the US for me next week.

my yellow J crew tee is with courier

am on sunglasses mission now I think. oh and white jeans, black tee, chambray shirt, denim jacket. not too much then rofl.

I also want the yellow sports bra top that hopefully linked to, will make my (TOO HARD) yoga practice more palatable I am SURE of it.

Annianni · 17/04/2013 11:58

Thanks Pickled, only my bathroom and ds2's bedroom are done and suitable for photos at the moment.
Otherwise you would all laugh at my old lady wallpaper and carpets :o

The Whistles navy jacket came yesterday and it's lovely.

I'm on my way to Selfridges, to try jeans on. I won't be buying any though... But I want to know which ones to look for online, in the sales etc.

Grey lucky dip Hudson's are on their way, so finger's crossed.

And I hope your yellow tee is nice Foxy.

carrie74 · 17/04/2013 12:09

Yeah Foxy it's the fabric content I'm concerned about. Me&Em's jersey is such good quality, and although I love the Baukjen long Ts, I don't want a dress in the same fabric. I think I'll hold off.

I love the JV flats and slipper shoes, but given how hard I work my clothes, I'm not sure I'll want to wear them for as long as I have ballerinas...

Can't wait to hear verdict on the yellow T!

What kind of sunnies? I'm still looking out for some cheap (but real) Aviators.
