Woo hoo! DH through to second round on both interviews! Thanks for the crossed fingers! :)

Annianni · 16/04/2013 10:16

I wasn't keen on the Banana Republic bags.
The metallic one looked like plastic.
Although it did look nice in the green
And this bag is nice.

Here's a photo of the Gap bag in my bathroom :o
As I can't find it online.

Annianni · 16/04/2013 10:17

That's fantastic news Shop.
Good luck to Mr Shop :)

AmberNectarine · 16/04/2013 10:22

Great news Shop, fingers crossed!

I'm being daring and wearing a neon yellow shirt to work...

Hopefully · 16/04/2013 11:04

Amber where did the neon shirt come from? Sounds fun.

Annianni · 16/04/2013 11:05

20% off Shopbop today using the code WEAREFAMILY13

MarshaBrady · 16/04/2013 11:07

Great news Shop!, fingers crossed.

I rather like my outfit today, peacoat (love it), orange mnv sweater and stella grey skinnies with ankle zip plus snakeskin flats. A new combo .

Charles Philip Shanghai leopard slippers on the outnet if anyone is looking for some. Actually not sure whether to say / link, as it probably helps them sell out.

AmberNectarine · 16/04/2013 11:24

Gap's finest Hopefully, they also had orange. Called a shrunken boyfriend I believe.

Hopefully · 16/04/2013 11:34

Grin at shrunken boyfriend.

pickledsiblings · 16/04/2013 12:01

Shop, that's great news about DH.

Novice, I have recently bought this Tommy Hilfiger mac - I'm amazed at how similar your M&S one is to it. There aren't that many single breasted ones around.

Marsha, hurray for new outfit combo, sounds good.

Anni, I don't think neon bags work on me either, nice bathroom btw.

Sleep, glad you had a good, albeit eventful holiday. DS2 split his lip yesterday (a cm long gash) but it stopped bleeding very quickly and seems to have healed well overnight - I wondered at the time if it might have needed to be stitched. How did you know to have DD's stitched, did it bleed lots? How old is your DD? Hope she didn't damage her teeth too, poor thing. As long as the holiday ended well, that's the main thing as apparently we mostly remember endings.

libertychick · 16/04/2013 12:46

Well done Mr Shop will keep the fingers crossed!

I am thinking about taking photos of outfits Decam just for reference for myself at the end of the month - not brave enough to post them on-line. Outfit is annoying me today as the nude fishnet tights are all wrong - they are so pale they almost look white and it's pissing me off everytime I go into the loo and see them in the full length mirror!!!

Wincing at the split lip descriptions - poor DC's.

Great blog post today hopefully.

Anni I bought the same Gap bag in navy. I am finding it a little unstructured but it's a great size and shape.

MarshaBrady · 16/04/2013 12:53

Sleep welcome back! Your poor dd, hope she is feeling ok. And your ds Pickled.

Pickled I love that mac, how did I not know you bought that? Wink Grin. Fantastic length. Quite like Hilfiger ads / styling atm. They went through a patch in the 90s where it was all ripped off too much. New store in Regent St I think.

Oh no Liberty I hate it when an item bugs!

Have just pinned loads from French Voguettes. So so stylish, obviously with that name Grin.

Love this look and this and this.

MrsRadicchio · 16/04/2013 14:15

Welcome back sleep, sounds quite a traumatic holiday.

Great news shop

hopefully when you mentioned your outfit on here, I was hoping you'd do an outfit post as it sounds right up my street. Looks good on the blog.

I had been hoping to go to some real shops today, but DS1 being ill (again!) put paid to that. Had been planning to see if I could find the snakeskin M&S flats, plus the leopard jacket in this post. I have 25%off voucher and I saw it in store last week and it looks good. 100% cotton iirc.

Since breaking my shoe ban, I have been looking at loads of shoes.

Love the JV flats (thanks for posting the code Amber!)

Also love these though when would I wear them?

What do people think of

these ? I like them but again not sure what I would wear them with. Plus are they a bit too mannish I wonder?

also like these

these are lovely

and these

Also liked those Charles Philip Shangai flats Marsha but sold out in all but the small sizes.

Aargh, I need to be stopped!

Hopefully · 16/04/2013 14:20

MrsR and Liberty thanks for the blog love Smile. I have decided to do a few more iPhone-in-the-mirror shots, much as I hate them. I just don't have the time most days to set up a tripod, and it's rather silly never ever posting my outfits because I don't have time to set up a 'proper' shot.

I have new hair, am very happy with it.

foxysocks · 16/04/2013 14:26

oh amber's code better than mine which was only 15%. still love the JV neons but am also v taken with the DvF yellow flats on matches.

have only spent £60 on clothes this month, presuming I keep the J Crew tee (which is on it's way!)

welcome back sleep

nice mac pickled

also loved your blog hopefully esp that divine scarf. tempted!

shopafrolic · 16/04/2013 15:14

Need to look at links in a bit but successful morning - that tee is fab Hopefully I sized up as you mentioned - really lovely - Thanks
While there I bought this for my mum's birthday
hideous pic as always
She's in her 70s but stylish. Have got a gift receipt just in case.
The best news is that having come all the way home from London this morning feeling that his interview went v well, DH has to be back in Charing Cross for 5 PM suited and booted again for round 2! YAY!!!!

foxysocks · 16/04/2013 15:20

oh shop that is properly BRILLIANT! well done MrShop and good luck for the next round.

Hopefully · 16/04/2013 15:23

Shop great news about DH! (And the t-shirt, obv Wink)

Decameron · 16/04/2013 15:24

That's fantastic, Shop.

Love those looks, Marsha.

I like the Jemima Vine shoes best, MrsR.

Just checked your blog, Hopefully. Great outfit today.

shopafrolic · 16/04/2013 15:54

Hopefully (should have checked instore) but just realised the cream tshirt is Viscose! I have a poor track record with viscose (makes me sweat) so it might have to go back Sad - might risk it and see though as it is very lovely.......

OP posts:
Hopefully · 16/04/2013 16:06

Shop I decided to risk it since I can't find a single bloody non-viscose t-shirt any more (unless it is poly). Oh for some decent natural fibres!

shopafrolic · 16/04/2013 16:09

I know! Such a nightmare. Will risk it too then! It is lovely, I like the different texture to the back.....

OP posts:
Sleepwhenidie · 16/04/2013 17:06

Sounding very promising Shop, fingers crossed for him!

pickled tbh, with DD's lip I could see it was a mess (inside her lip) and she had a small, deep 1cm cut on the outside, but it was her teeth that alarmed me the most, bashed backwards and bleeding gums . We took her to the doctor who wasn't interested in her teeth (not being a dentist!) but said the cut inside needed stitches. It was only the next morning that we called dentist in the uk who told us that the teeth should have been pushed back into position immediately, otherwise they reset Sad - so her teeth are angled slightly further back than they were, but she can still bite with them (or will) and she's nearly 5 so our consolation is they will probably fall out soon anyway and it shouldn't affect the adult teeth. But now you all know what to do if your DC's bash their teeth back, with a cut I think if its open and looking like staying so, it will need stitches, but generally i think rely on instinct and if you feel worried, get it checked!

Nice pins Marsha. MrsR, my fave out of those shoes are the Clarks (not something I would say very often Smile.

Slightly irritated by code for Shopbop after ordering that sweater last week Hmm. Oh well there were only 2 left and it would probably cost nearly as much to return one as i save if I reordered with discount.

Nice afternoon at the zoo with DS's. Wore cropped white Kookai jeans, cobalt h&m vest with duffy loose knit sweater over it, orange bag and gold toes leopard ballerinas...for about ten minutes then admitted defeat in face of cold wind and added charcoal cashmere t-shirt under white sweater and blue/grey leopard scarf Grin. Off to a gig tonight, not sure what to go for from the wardrobe yet.
