I really like those white and neon ones, clearly white boots are like buses. If the KGs don't work out for me, I'll definitely try them. Because obviously I now need white boots...

shopafrolic · 15/04/2013 21:22

Thought you might Amber I've pinned the brown and orange version as I'm more boring!

Welcome back Dry! Jet lag is a bugger indeed. It takes me nearly two weeks to get over it when we go to Aus for Christmas.

Shop sounds good, big good luck for your dh.

BrandyAlexander · 15/04/2013 21:43

Welcome back Dry! And thanks. I am hoping winter is finally over and this is the end of the illnesses as I am exhausted.Sad I used to be able to go to New York on a friday, hang out all weekend with my friends and take the red eye for a monday and work all day.Shock I look back now and think who was that person?? Hope you don't suffer too long. Love your outfits today.

libertychick · 15/04/2013 21:53

Today I wore grey A-Line short H&M skirt, white A&W shirt and black zara blazer with black opaques and Whistles loafers - bit boring but it's work. And as I am mixing up my look I won't be wearing it again for at least a month!
Foxy how did you get a JV code - have you shopped with them already? I have signed up for emails, followed them on pin all in the vain hope of getting a code - can you share it or is it just for you to use? If you can share could you pm me or can you tell me the date you got your and I'll check my spam folder? My M&S snakeskin flats sage continues - went in today to collect the 5 and 5.5. The 5.5 fit but the pattern comes up different on each shoe and I didn't like how it looked - the front of both shoes was almost completely cream with very little black and I really didn't like them. Returned them on the spot and have just now ordered again...if it doesn't work out this time I may take it as a sign from the fashion gods and order the JV's!!!

BrandyAlexander · 15/04/2013 21:59

Am I the only one who wore s oat today?Blush There were loads of us on the train!

Liberty, how is the clothes changing thing going? I am thinking of doing the same with jewelry, I have a lot from cheap and cheerful to expensive but have got very boring recently.

AmberNectarine · 15/04/2013 22:02

I can share a 20% off code for JV - FFAM2012.

libertychick · 15/04/2013 22:03

I am rubbish with jet lag too Drywhite.
QueenC really sorry to hear about your poor cat - and I am so excited for you on Saturday - fingers crossed you don't have to abandon all your favourite neutrals!
Shop a raver girl skirt to go with your neon boots?? Smile

BrandyAlexander · 15/04/2013 22:04

That should be a coat by the way!

Also another random post..... There is an M&S outlet website and has kids stuff!

Drywhiteplease · 15/04/2013 22:07

Amber have just read your white boot thread. Cowboy boots are not for me, however I completely agree with what you said about hating trends at first but then after awhile of seeing them around, we all want them!!!! In Style mag has a page on white shoes this month and I never thought I'd say this after my 80s stilettos, but they look really lovely and I quite fancy a pair!!!Grin
I look forward to seeing you in them on your blog

shopafrolic · 15/04/2013 22:14

Love the skirt Liberty back in the day and at half the price I'd have worn that for sure

libertychick · 15/04/2013 22:32

Novice I am only 3 days in with my pledge to wear something different every day for a month so not difficult so far!!! Tomorrow I am wearing a new combination - this mustard BR skirt with a crochet top I bought last year in TKMaxx and hardly ever wore - it was cream but I have dyed in black and it has gold lurex threads on all the cuffs which really show with the black. Going to wear a pink, mustard and black floral scarf I got in Primark ages ago which I haven't worn a lot. It looks good together on the hanger!!! Will add a gold and black cuff as well. Nude fishnet tights, shoes - not sure yet, black courts would be best but I'll probably wear ballet flats or brogues.

And yes I am still in my trusty black hooded parka - it's not that springlike at 7.30am on the Tube platform in the outer London suburbs!

Amber - thank you Thanks. So tempting...I may just order and then compare with the M&S ones if they are any good. Have spent way too much this month though...

Sleepwhenidie · 15/04/2013 23:12

Hi everyone, I am back too!

Our holiday was lovely (sunshine amazing) but slightly jinxed..after my last post we had one peaceful day then DD tripped on the same step as DS1 did but she ended up bashing her front teeth in and having to have her lip stitched, poor baby. It was horrendous, definitely took away the good holiday feeling for a day or so. The rest of the week was lovely though. Now we are back I have to book an appointment for her to have stitches removed, also get hold of insurance co, police, etc for break in.

To console myself slightly whilst there I ordered the Love sweater from Shopbop and it is on its way Smile. Great to come home to some mild weather, DH and I popped out for a 5km run round the park this evening - nearly killed me, I have barely done any exercise in the last month what with flu and holidays and DH runs too fast for me, I looked like this Angry when we got back Grin. I am on a mission to get back into shape before my little trip away in 10 days (and the Acne dress which will not allow any extra lbs).

Loving all the links to some great things...shop - satin boots - really??Grin Good luck to your DH. And well done to yours little. Not sure aboutthe white cowboy boots Amber, but could definitely be persuaded into white heels Smile.

Sorry to hear about your cat QueenC is she very old?

Travelled in white supergas, duffy colourblock sweater and cropped zara jeans with orange zara bag today. Looking forward to some nice weather tomorrow, DD is back in school, will probably take the boys to the zoo once all the tedious admin is out of the way Smile.

Decameron · 16/04/2013 07:30

Welcome back, Sleep and Drywhite. Ouch, Sleep, your poor DD. I like the sweater.

Liberty, you should do an outfit of the day photo! Sounds great.

I woke up regretting that Boden bag (sometimes I even embarrass myself with my shallowness!) so going to return.

I really like that pale grey Whistles bag you pinned, Anni. Did you see it yesterday?

I've put away my winter coats, wearing trench coat/Barbour/Weekend Maxmara light quilted coats now.

Decameron · 16/04/2013 07:31

Foxy, I have bought a couple of tops from Wrap, sizing is on the large side.

Decameron · 16/04/2013 07:32

Oh and good luck to your DH for his next interview, Shop.

BrandyAlexander · 16/04/2013 08:22

Liberty, I love that skirt.

have already failed today in my quest to wear different jewelry as I am wearing the tanzanite and ring again. It's the debut of the RB blue court shoes

BrandyAlexander · 16/04/2013 08:28

Posted too soon! The shoes are lovely and got balenciaga blue bag too. Navy pin striped dress from John Lewis collection and fenn wright Manson navy jacket. Two important meetings today! Oh and the new M&S mac. I hope it doesn't go in the way of last cheap mac u bought which lasted a season. I am thinking of a Burberry this autumn.

Hope Shops dh is confidently walking into his meeting now,

Hopefully · 16/04/2013 08:32

I am looking slightly homeless today in v hard-working outfit of old Topshop forest green military style sweater, whistles tube skirt that is looking decidedly faded after a winter of hard use and brown opaques. Ugh I am so bored of my clothes at the moment! Have a massive car service coming up, so am trying to hold onto my purse strings until that is out of the way, then I am determined to fill a few gaps in my wardrobe!

shopafrolic · 16/04/2013 08:39

Morning all - welcome back Sleep and Drywhite.
Sleep you've had an eventful time! I do hope DD isn't feeling too sore and that the aftermath of the break in is easy to sort.
All these celestial boots and skirts remind me of the interior of the lifts at the Sanderson hotel. Have you ever been there?
Sanderson Perhaps it should be the venue for another MNV meet up?
I'm off for a meeting with my old retail colleagues this morning (with DS in tow so not too formal) - need to dig out some kind of skinny jeans / blazer combo - heading upstairs now to investigate (zero planning!)
DH is in London interviewing - knowing the way our lives work we'll both be offered jobs at once!

shopafrolic · 16/04/2013 08:40

Hopefully am going to look at that cream tee in M&S today
Need to get a raft of birthday presents too - my mum, DH, and several friends - expensive Hmm

Annianni · 16/04/2013 09:35

Welcome back Sleep, your holiday sounds rather stressful though.

Finger's crossed for you Shop.

I saw some lovely things yesterday...
I saw a grey bag in Whistles concession on a shelf, Decam and have assumed that it's this one
But I didn't dare to touch it, as I knew it was out of my price range at the moment. It did look nice though.

So did this lovely grey bag and it's lovely leather. But I did want a cross body one.

John Lewis had this in tan and it's very nice too.

I'd happily have all three :o

I did see some beautiful sequin jackets (amongst other things) by Maje, but they're not on Selfridges site or NaP to link.

I did try this top and I loved it, and wanted it. But the fabric content pissed me off, so I put it back :o
If JL or HoF do a 20% day, I'll order it.

Also loved this
and this but I couldn't try them due to a lack of sizes :(
and this but seeing as the model's wearing a size M, there's not much point in me trying that one :o

I did buy the Gap taupe leather soft bag that can be cross body etc for £29-99 in the sale.
I tried the neon pink and yellow bags but they didn't work on me.

Also tried the M&S neon pink tee, but the colour was wrong on me.
I tried Gap's version but they didn't have my size.
So I ordered it last night, along with this one

Annianni · 16/04/2013 09:38

I'm wearing grey m&s slippers
Hudson baby bootcuts (again)
and a Gap cobalt mesh sleeved sweater.

But I think the blue's are clashing and i'll change my top when I go upstairs.

Whistles lena jacket is due today :)

Annianni · 16/04/2013 09:42

Oh, and Jigsaw customer services sent me an apologetic email yesterday and are sending me a pre-paid returns label in the post for the bag.
So they get a thumbs up.

Hopefully · 16/04/2013 10:08

Shop I sized up (I am a large 10/small 12, and i got a 12) for extra slouchiness.
