Lovely cardigan Hopefully

Ds2 is being an angel. I've been able to look in loads of shops.

Selfridges has some lovely Whistles pieces but unfortunately I can't try any of it on, as they have nothing available above a size 12 Hmm

QueenCadbury · 15/04/2013 13:00

Woohoo the sun is out and the day is good (although I've just found out one of my cats has cancer Sad). Wore a coat on the school run but had to take it off and was wearing just a tshirt and a 3/4 length sleeve cardi. I think today is the first day in over 6 months that I haven't worn a vest!

I'm so unadventourous when it comes to clothes/shoes-ambers r&b navy courts sound like my idea of shoe heaven Grin.

hopefully you have your work cut out on Saturday to get me out of navy/black and grey!!

shopafrolic · 15/04/2013 13:02

I'm still alive - sweaty and horribly red faced but alive!
MrsR I definitely need to investigate Miista further and YY to it being the raver in me coming out! You have a good memory - I can never remember who said what on here - I wonder why? Grin
Love the T Wang dress too - if I a) had any money and b) it didn't have a racer back I'd be very tempted - I've not tried that length yet
Carrie love the sound of your weekend and your outfits (and your hair). I'm a fellow short haired stylista - beginning to wonder if my jawline can still carry it off though, I could do with a ponytail pulled back way too tight for an instant facelift TBH
Love the cardigan Hopefully
Everyone's outfits sound fab.
I wore the snakeskin flats pain free yesterday so the stretching worked. I'm still in my gym gear so need to shower and get dressed in something half decent.......
If anyone has a few spare fingers can they keep them crossed for DH's first interview today at 2.30? He has another (that he really wants) tomorrow at 8.45.......

Anni i love it when they let you shop! Have fun but boo to sizing challenges.
QueenC am very excited for you for Saturday. Enjoy and can't wait to hear your diagnosis!

OP posts:
Annianni · 15/04/2013 13:06

So sorry QueenC, is there anything they can do?

Wey hey... John Lewis has the fat women sizes... Just tried a lovely Whistles coral 3/4 sleeve sweater, £75.
Was just deciding to get it when I realised it was polyester and acrylic!

Decameron · 15/04/2013 13:06

Hi all.

Shop, good news about the interviews. I like the purple boots.

The worst present I got was bright pink birkenstocks. Hate them and find them really uncomfortable. They went straight back.

Novice, those bracelets you bought your friends are so pretty. Amethyst is my birth stone too. Hope you are feeling better.

From the feet up, I am wearing red R&B ballet flats, Goldsign lure skinny jeans, and Maxmara navy top and jacket.

This Boden bag arrived, got it for £37 with discounts and voucher, nice leather and great for the price. Although I am going to Westfield on Thursday and very tempted to go buy a bright Coach bag.

Decameron · 15/04/2013 13:08

Fingers are crossed, Shop.

shopafrolic · 15/04/2013 13:32

I wish I'd found Miista in my thirties not forties!
Amazing green boots
flouro brogues & rose gold metallic brogues

white and neon!

OneLittleLady · 15/04/2013 13:38

Fingers and everything else crossed shop

So sorry about your cat QueenC Sad I hope s/he isn't suffering.

Hopefully · 15/04/2013 13:50

Sorry about your cat QueenC, and don't worry, I am getting very used to easing people out of the grey/black comfort zone (actually more people wedded to charcoal grey than black at the moment, I find).

I am working incredibly hard today, but everything is taking about 10% longer than expected, so my To Do list is not decreasing as it needs to. Grrr.

QueenCadbury · 15/04/2013 13:50

Thanks anni and littlelady. She's fine actually, just pissed off and grumpy as she had an operation last week to remove 2 lumps and now has a collar on so she doesn't bite at the stitches and isn't allowed outside. Can't wait till Friday when she has the stitches out and I have my happy cat back!

shop I'll cross my fingers for you.

shopafrolic · 15/04/2013 14:26

QueenC sorry - I must have cross posted about you when you mentioned your cat. Horrible news but sounds as though she is on the mend.....
Hopefully the woman I went to see wasn't an HoC woman and described me as Warm, Deep Autumn. There is a grey in my colour swatch book - a warmish dove grey I guess I'd describe it as - I naughtily use that as my excuse to wear any grey I like the look of! It's been the hardest colour to step away from...
Finally clean and dressed! Today is the first outing of my Ralph Lauren breton (remember that saga?) - the good news is I still absolutely love it so thanks again ladies. I am wearing it with the rust coloured J Brands (again) which come up cropped on me and some French Sole leopard print flats. White ankles screaming at me to fake tan them.

Hopefully · 15/04/2013 16:35

I come bearing news of possibly the least exciting purchase ever. A plain cream t-shirt from M&S. It is, as always with M&S, far nicer than it appears on the model, nice and slouchy and perfect for khaki skinnies and sandals (because, you know, that kind of weather might happen for 14 minutes one day this year). It is not, however, a cardigan, which is what I was actually in town looking for. Ho hum.

Hopefully · 15/04/2013 16:36

I also tried on the M&S snake print slippers, but they looked awful, annoyingly. I think I need proper pointy or round toe, I can't do anything in between, for some reason.

foxysocks · 15/04/2013 17:07

I really want the JV neon slippers, hopefully, but i can't afford them (even with the discount code they kindly sent to me)

does anyone have a code for wrap london? or used them before? TIA..

MrsRadicchio · 15/04/2013 19:34

Ooh, foxy, how did you get a discount code? I am considering them as my one purchase for next month.
amber, have you seen the white boots shop linked to? Maybe an alternative to the kg ones, or did you get them in the end?

Queen c, hope your cat is ok and it is at the curable stage.

Hope your dh's interview went well shop, and good luck for tmw.

Today I wore grey leopard print skinnies with grey sweathirt and white converse plus an Aztec blazer I bought from beyond retro. I have so many jackets and blazers but the weather either seems too cold or too hot to wear them.

I may be passing an m and s tomorrow and will look at the snakeskin flats, seeing as they are getting good reviews here.

Thanks to the advice re the neon chinos and what to wear with, I will keep them and let you know when I wear them!

MrsRadicchio · 15/04/2013 19:37

I've bought a broderie anglaise shirt from wrap in the sale, but never received a code. What have you got your eye on, foxy?

AmberNectarine · 15/04/2013 20:11

Yep white boots are in the post I'm afraid.

shopafrolic · 15/04/2013 20:15

MrsR I think Amber already ordered the KG ones but thought she might love the white and neon too! Good call on keeping the trousers.
Hopefully a cream t-shirt is a rare thing indeed, might have to take a look myself since I can't wear white now.
Foxy I can't help with Wrap sorry.
Anni what did you buy today?
So DH has had a good interview today, through to meet the European Sales Head and then next stop CEO interview. He really liked them too so that's good. Tomorrow is his more favoured role but he feels happy that today might work too. Hopefully they feel as keen.....

shopafrolic · 15/04/2013 20:16

What did you think of the white and neon Amber?

OP posts:
BrandyAlexander · 15/04/2013 20:31

Hi all! Manic day and still coughing and spluttering. Got home and dh took (mostly headshot) photos of me. I have been wearing black Austin Reed dress, black Armani jacket (the one from the birthday shopping spree) and black mac from M&S. only £39 and petite, it looked really nice. pinterest.com/pin/380202393512215421/ importantly it wasn't the winter coat!

I did look slightly funeral like but was going for classic black look, so slicked hair back into high ponytail and my 2 pops of colour were my blue balenciaga and my new love tanzanite and diamond ring.

As i was walking off the train and I was thinking that Shop's shoes would have brightened up my outfit and smiled to myself as I looked down at my RB ballerinas (which I use for journey in) and thought of AmberGrin

BrandyAlexander · 15/04/2013 20:31

That's terrific news Shop

Hopefully · 15/04/2013 20:41

Great news Shop. And yes, a good cream t-shirt is rare - I have one scoop neck one from New Look that (apart from the neckline, which I cover with a scarf) is perfect, but it is as old as my firstborn, so looking a weeny bit tired now! Have never found another good one.

Have just Shredded for the first time in about 6 weeks. Wasn't as bad as I was expecting, although I am v wobbly!

Drywhiteplease · 15/04/2013 21:11

I'm back with monster jet lag....how do people work transatlantic on a regular basis? Was like a hungover zombie at work today, but glad to see the sun today, I even got my (tannedGrin) feet out in ballerinas.
shop hope the interview went well
QueenC so sorry about your cat, hope she can be cured.
All the links look great. I love this thread because everyone has such varied tastes and styles.

Today I wore
this top
anecklace similar to this
these ballet flats
And a pair of Banana Republic 7/8 black tapered trs.

When I got home I changed into my beloved comfy bf jeans
this top
my lovely RBs

Novice hope you feel better soon. I remember how awful it was being ill with young children, horrid.....eventually they grow up and can look after themselves/ you if you don't mind beans on toast for tea
