No Shop, just no! X 3GrinGrin

Just popped last of pills for the day including nurofen and about to switch off. I am supposed to be having my picture taken first thing tomorrow because I hate my current professional photo (i look about 12) and my pic will be around next week. (for dull work reasons, I am not famous) I look like craaaap! Oh and I don't even know what I will be wearingShock and breathe.....!

AmberNectarine · 14/04/2013 23:35

Going to be controversial and say I like the patterned boots. Life is WAY too short for boring footwear. Sometimes I put my Russell and Bromley navy courts on and want to slit my wrists. Such is my disdain for my boring work shoes they all live in my desk drawer. I don't want to see them in my shoe closet (keep them all in see through boxes).

shopafrolic · 15/04/2013 01:39

Thank you Amber

Morning all - I've looked back on Pin and am standing by 2 out of 3 of my boots from last night. The only thing that put me off the truly crazy print is the fact that they are satin!
Rest assured I'll be a bit more sensible this week.
Off training with a friend - haven't done any exercise in a month - wish me luck!

Thanks for the suggestions QueenC

And it's ok Liberty

I think i'll go for a wander round the shops with ds2 and look for bags (if he'll let me)

Our schools are finally back today :o

I got some bargainous grey Hudson jeans from ebay over the weekend for £11.
I have no idea what style they are, there was only one photo in which they were folded up, but i'll take a risk for that price.

Annianni · 15/04/2013 07:52

Good luck Shop :o

MarshaBrady · 15/04/2013 08:15

Good luck Shop don't be more sensible! Good to see what's out there.

Well done Anni re Hudsons.

School back tomorrow here, hope the sun doth shine

MrsRadicchio · 15/04/2013 08:30

Ah shop, I'm actually a fan of mista shoes and have a couple of their more conservative offerings! Will pin when on pc.
hopefully, thanks for the dying advice. It doesn't sound like it will be straightforward. Not too keen on trousers the colours you suggested but doesn't sound like anything else would work well.
Can't send them back as bad them a while. Think I'll hang onto them, they might work with neutrals on a v hot sunny day.
Good bargain anni!

AmberNectarine · 15/04/2013 08:40

Nearly bought those trousers yesterday MrsR, I say keep - they'll look awesome with a grey marl tee, and FWIW I have lilac jeans that I never wear (but maybe that is because I have fat thighs...)

BrandyAlexander · 15/04/2013 08:58

Don't be sensible Shop!!!!! I won't let youShock. Besides, I told you someone waaay more fashionable than me would be along to give you a sensible opinionGrin

Annianni · 15/04/2013 09:10

I agree with Amber, MrsR...
Those trousers will be fab on a hot day with a grey tee and flip flops etc.

MarshaBrady · 15/04/2013 09:11

I'd keep them as they are too MrsR they are really nice.

foxysocks · 15/04/2013 09:35

agreed, keep them as they are MrsR, perfect with grey marl.

what are you wearing today? me.. (ground up!)

navy converse
low rise flared diesel jeans (from 2001!!)
whistles breton
rag and bone biker

pickledsiblings · 15/04/2013 09:55

So Shop, which of those delightful boots are you swayed by this morning Smile? I love coloured footwear especially with bare legs. I'm less confident about what works with opaques though.

Good to hear that the Winter coats are making an exit. Have bought a mac as a safe interim one - it's navy Hopefully. Wore a gap denim jacket yesterday with some JBrand dark mulberry cords and navy Ash boots, TS checked shirt on top - felt good to be without layers.

AmberNectarine · 15/04/2013 09:57

Wearing Goldsign Virtuals, neon pink Gap v neck and grey NBs.

carrie74 · 15/04/2013 10:03

Morning all!

Shop I actually like the multi-coloured boots, and seen them somewhere else too. BUT, difficult to style for the school run...

Had a lovely weekend. London on Saturday with friends for lunch at Hush. Wore boyfriend jeans rolled up, Bauken long T and green cardie/jacket and my trusty Hudsons.

Yesterday went to visit my parents who have family friends from the US staying. Wore skinnies, silk Massimo Dutti top, grey biker boots and grey DKNY Cozy. The granddaughter (17) told me I looked like Keira Knightley Grin. (I really don't look like Keira Knightley. This is probably evidenced by the grandmother, who has known me since birth saying I had a touch of Princess Di and Julie Andrews about me. I think all likenesses boil down to the fact I have short hair - think KK as Domino: Domino

Annianni · 15/04/2013 10:07

Sam Edelman baxton flats
Hudson beth baby bootcuts
Gap coral mesh sleeved sweater
3/4 sleeves and no coat woo hoo! :o

Off out shopping now.

MarshaBrady · 15/04/2013 10:16

C/e floral skinnies (last year, practically retro these days)
Maje white top with lace details
J Crew t - pistachio

MrsRadicchio · 15/04/2013 10:31

whistles blazer on ebay.

my miistas

MIISTA PIN PAGE

The multi coloured miistas shop pinned could look good with white jeans and a neon t. Its the raver in you coming out, shop!

foxysocks · 15/04/2013 10:38

bwahaha MrsR I sold a CK toiletries bag on ebay straight after christmas. do my family not know me AT ALL?

MrsRadicchio · 15/04/2013 10:47

He he, mine was from MIL. Not my thing but people seem to like them on ebay (hope so at least).

Some lovely things on the outnet just in. Lots of Zoe Karssen t-shirts.

T by AW dress

like this dress

nice cuff

Marsha these trousers?

foxysocks · 15/04/2013 10:55

I sold a CK toiletries case and matching small canvas shopper for £20, and spent the £20 on I&I cashmere from blondambition. i think that's what's known as a #win.

MarshaBrady · 15/04/2013 11:37

lol Foxy good one.

Close MrsR these c/e ones.

Also think some even older c/e pale yellow ones are on there too.

I get perfume often from my parents I never wear it. My other sister got some too, and my little sister got what looked like a life time supply of Lancôme products in a big case. We all looked like this Shock. We've all been taking my mother's Lancôme freebies from time immemorial, it's not hard to see how we feel about this Grin.

Hopefully · 15/04/2013 11:44

I was sorely tempted by this cardigan on the outnet this morning, but fortunately it has now sold out in my size, so temptation removed Grin. I think I need to check ebay for something similar - it's not like it's a one-season-wonder that I need to buy brand new right now!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 15/04/2013 11:59

Oooh Hopefully that is gorgeous - looks so lovely on the model.
Grin at your dodgy gifts Marsha, MrsR and Foxy. MIL is the giver of dodgy gifts in our family. DH (who is probably more of a clothes horse than I) received a bowl/ashtray type thing from her for christmas (he doesn't even smoke). It was made from clunky clay, like the DCs would make at school, except it had a 'made in china' sticker on the bottom. Very tasteful, in red and green with a robin sitting on it. DH's face was a picture when he opened it. His thought process went 'WTF? Have I opened the right present?' then shaking head 'She has definitely lost it'.
