I'm all yours for about half an hour! Promise polite opinions on all your diLemmas!

sorry I did the hijacking it's good except I eat too much curry, loads of coconut, lots of nuts, lots of honey on yogurt, erm...otherwise it's healthy salad etc. But I am naughty I can easily go all day without eating and then I get super hungry and go into autopilot and buy the wrong type of food and eat it late at night. Then I wake up the next day remorseful and my clothes don't fit so I spend all day not eating and then I workout in the evening and then I'm crazy ridiculously hungry again and I do it all over again..

wannabedomesticgoddess · 21/12/2012 03:09

No, sorry, keep forgetting the other posters name.

I have no reason to believe your diet is a problem :o

If you could see the state of me you would find it insane that I should be giving advice on weight loss.

cafecito · 21/12/2012 03:10

waaa I'm forgettable *reaches for M&S chocolate brazil nuts...

wannabedomesticgoddess · 21/12/2012 03:13

Nothing you have said is bad food.

But the skipping meals is disasterous. Stop it now! Breakfast is your friend. And no Special K shit either. Eggs. Protein will fill you up for longer.

Eat lunch too.

Basically, you want to turn your meals upside down. Eat a good breakfast and a big lunch. Then a smaller dinner.

If you must snack in the evenings, fruit or plain popcorn. Nuts are good in moderation but are too easy to eat too much.

What are your portions like?

wannabedomesticgoddess · 21/12/2012 03:14

:o cafecito.

Atlast! Sleep deprived and wide awake you see!

JustCallMeDavesHorse · 21/12/2012 03:14

Right. You've both kept me up. If you are unhappy with your size, and actually neither of you have implied this. What you need is a low carb high protein diet. Cafectico, what you have described will not take much tweaking.

Just seen wannaS post! Shall I butt out?

OP posts:
wannabedomesticgoddess · 21/12/2012 03:18

Not at all OP.

Sorry, I probably should...you are the adviser on this thread.

Im actually telling myself more than anything. If I know the theory I should be doing the putting into practice bit!

JustCallMeDavesHorse · 21/12/2012 03:21

Oh no. I'm not he advisor!!!! Am very interested and if I can add something!

wannabedomesticgoddess · 21/12/2012 03:24

Is it actually possible to get rid of weight in one area or is that a myth? Does it have to all come off and then get toned?

I really want to get rid of my belly. My thighs are probably a size 18. So if I could get my belly down I would be more in proportion.

JustCallMeDavesHorse · 21/12/2012 03:24

Do you both have kids? Do you work? It's very difficult to follow a plan if you have kids. Hands up. I have 2 kids have gone from a size 8 to a 12. I know it's not the same. But it's bloody difficul.

OP posts:
JustCallMeDavesHorse · 21/12/2012 03:26

Ok. No you can't get rid of weight off one area. And believe me I've studied this.

OP posts:
JustCallMeDavesHorse · 21/12/2012 03:26

Am I ranting?

OP posts:
cafecito · 21/12/2012 03:29

yeah my top half is bearable but my tummys getting a bit too big and my arms are chunky, but my bottom half - wow it's like a whole other creature person's

Grin

yes I've had kids, DS is 3. I was working full timein the city, when I was tiny, I'm now working and studyingand constantly on ridiculous 12 hour placements

cafecito · 21/12/2012 03:30

not ranting at all !

wannabedomesticgoddess · 21/12/2012 03:31

I have two kids.

I lost 3 stone with DD1. Gradually put it back on over 3 years, with a bit of yoyoing. I dont know how much I lost this time, but I was almost into a 24 before I got pregnant and now I am almost a 20.

I find eating not to bad now that DD1 is almost 4. But when she was younger it was a nightmare. I was going all day because I was on my own so there was no time to eat and then by the time she was in bed I was starving so I would binge.

Now we have actual meals at decent times.

cafecito · 21/12/2012 03:31

I did get quite addicted to almond croissants a few months ago, but have now banned myself from eating those ever again! another bad thing is cookies.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 21/12/2012 03:32

Im going to lose weight and be left with saggy skin.

CheerfulYank · 21/12/2012 03:34

Why can't I do makeup, why? It always looks stupid and/or slides off my face.

cafecito · 21/12/2012 03:35

OK I have identified the following changes to make:

  1. stop eating so late
  2. buy bigger jeans
  3. eat fewer carbs
  4. stop drinking beer/rum/wine (did I leave this bit out)
  5. quit the lattes
  6. eat in the day and eat protein
7... erm, do some cardio exercise? I have been doing lots of resistance/weight things which have accidentally made me bigger/bulkier under the extra chunkyness
cafecito · 21/12/2012 03:35

ooh ooh daves your wisdom is required!! ^ I cannot help with this one

JustCallMeDavesHorse · 21/12/2012 03:37

I hope one of you will wake me up in the morning!! Anyway Cafetico start running. That's good for the legs? If you had a city job then you are used to early mornings...go for a run. Just for your info I'm bored. Have given up my career. But this isn't about me!!

OP posts:
JustCallMeDavesHorse · 21/12/2012 03:38

Just seen your list.

FellatioNelson · 21/12/2012 03:38

Oh I like this thread. I particularly like the way JustCallMeDavesHorse is maintaining order and authority when it gets too chitty-chatty. Like a good teacher. Grin

I want to think of a problem now.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 21/12/2012 03:39

Yes, you need to lose the fat first.

DP is a cage fighter and has black belts in stuff. He tells me about weight loss a lot but its more about toning rather than losing weight so I tune out a lot of it.

I am clueless with make up too.
