Day 100

So what have you done and what are you planning to do?

I've started on the water. I had planned to weigh myself but forgot (great start) in addition to everything else on my list I'm going to paint my nails later.

Sending you lots of get well soon and restful sleep vibes addicted Smile

Meggles76 · 25/09/2012 06:17

Have enjoyed catching up on what everyone has been up to.
Exercise wise, I have been in the zone. Did 5k fun run at weekend in 26 mins which was a good time for me. Also doing a 10k soon. Continuing to shred too.
Diet wise, I need to up my game still. Less stodge and more fruit. This hasn't been helped by being hit with the dreaded cold that's doing the rounds.
Nails are filed and painted. I am defuzzed. Have hair appointment next weekend. My birthday coming up and DH has booked lovely hotel back in my home town. And without kids in toe! So focusing on looking my best for this.
The big wardrobe clearout has helped me see what I have and what I need. Am trying to wear different outfits that make me feel good.

Need to paint toe nails today .
Remembered the hot lemon , forgot vitamins though ( take them later )
Need to sort the extra fruit and veg though , really poor consumption over the last few days .

The clear shampoo is actually timotei pure not simple .
Can't remember who I suggested the clear shampoo to.

Late to the party as always, but have been enjoying following the thread, it's a good inspiration and a reminder of what needs doing. Keep forgetting to do anti-ageing eye cream (in spite of having a lovely Clarins daytime one and a L'Oreal night-time one in the cupboard.) Also usually too tired to put on cuticle oil at night, even though my nails really need it. I don't like the messy marks on my book/I-Pad! But am trying hard to take vitamins (multi-vit, evening primrose and Omega 3,6&9), shred (1st time last Wednesday, done it 5 times now, it's not getting any easier. Are you meant to do it every single day? I like the fact that its quick to do) and dry body-brush every other day pre-shower. Off to Boots later to buy face and body exfoliators, 3D toothpaste, razors any try the new Clinique dark circles serum. Anyone tried it yet?

WhyIRayLiotta · 25/09/2012 13:32

Hello all - hope you are feeling better addicted

I'm doing great with the vitamins / body brushing / moisturising / teeth whitening / nails and hair. My diet and exercise is crap though. In this horrible weather I just want to curl up and watch TV with a giant bar of chocolate! My hurt knee means exercise is out at the minute.

But I think my skin seems a bit better - and it's nice to always have smooth legs Grin

Day 90

Morning all! Had a lovely bath last night, exfoliated and moisturised afterwards, also did a nice face mask so feeling quite like a princess today!

Hoping we will get out for a proper walk as it seems to have stopped raining for now.

addictedisback · 26/09/2012 07:58

Morning all, feeling much better today.
I'm about to do my hair and take dd1 to the hospital for an appointment then tomorrow I have one for dd2 too!

Hoping at some point I can update my blog!

Doilooklikeatourist · 26/09/2012 08:46

Morning all , porridge with raspberries and honey for breakfast , haven't showered yet , as am planning on sloe gathering to make sloe gin for Christmas . < worried looks at pouring rain >
Have a day off today , to Princess Properly !
Hair oil , self pedicure and moisturise everywhere .
Off to take Vits and a nice strong coffee

NotQuitePerfect · 26/09/2012 09:07

Have Shredded, taken vits (I've started on Floradix Iron Tonic as well - it's utterly delicious), 3 x glasses of water and now eating All-Bran with skim milk & yoghurt. Why do I look about 95 then ha ha? Picked up some samples of the Clinique Even Better eye gel thing yesterday, I want to see if it's any good before committing £28 to a teeny-weeny tube - I've wasted so much money over the years on products that claim to work and then don't. Does anybody use the teeth-whitening system from the dentist that you do at home with the mouthguards and tubes of gel? I was one of my dentist's original guinea pigs 15 years ago and still do it now to top up (my natural tooth colour is a deep yellow). When I went to pick up some more tubes last week the dentist told me that the latest research shows that most of the lifting effect takes place in the first 2 hrs so no need to leave in overnight (excruciatingly painful on sensitive teeth) or all afternoon (meaning you can't answer the door or even speak on the phone). This is very good news! Hope everyone keeping well and not put off the challenge by this miserable weather.

BookFairy · 26/09/2012 16:11

I'm back home now so I can get back to my moisturising routine. Epic failure on the exercise front today but I'm not stressing about it Smile

Any recipes for homemade facemasks?

Lavenderhoney · 26/09/2012 19:26

Getting very good at moisturising after a bath now:) and using toner. Must make up some more face oil put it in the bathroom where I have easy access:)

Used to allocate one night a week as beauty night-but been very slack for what feels like years. Spoke to very glam mum and daughter today -dd was about 14- and she said she got dd into a daily routine over the years after school to tidy bedroom, do homework, and some personal maintenance, ie check nails, hair, organise clothes... And I thought I might allocate a time everyday where I check nails, eyebrows, once a week defuzz etc, and once a week look a clothes and shoes to catch the scruffy stuff. Is it possible long term though?

Going to bed now, crap day coming up tomorrow.

Paintyourbox · 26/09/2012 22:50

Oh the shame, tonights intake: Fish and chips, lots of chocolate and a gin and tonic. Well, I guess if the diet is going to slip.....

BookFairy · 27/09/2012 00:06

I've had a lazy day and many chocolate biscuits. I blame Fox's! Grin

addictedisback · 27/09/2012 08:12

I've been quite bad recently! One thing I havent mentioned is i have cfs (commonly known as me) and this cold has thrown me back :( still onwards and upwards, I will pull out, I will get better and I will jump back on the waggon today! :o

HelgatheHairy · 27/09/2012 08:17

day89

Was really bad last night taking my make up off and my skin is suffering today. Need to improve.

Doilooklikeatourist · 27/09/2012 08:42

Does homemade strawberry jam count as one of my 5 a day ?
Organic wholemeal toast and jam for breakfast , perhaps not what the plan calls for , but lovely anyway .
Exfoliate and moisturise is a routine now , and I always take off makeup at night , just need to remember the hand cream .
After sloe picking yesterday , my hands are a bit scratched and tingly , will apply savlon .
dashes downstairs to get Vits

Doilook homemade strawberry jam sounds scrummy!

addicted it's not the same thing but I take medication that makes me tired 99% of the time. Being tired sucks and I don't have kids to run around after! Itake it all one day at a time. I had biscuits yesterday but none today - an improvement?! Grin

Lavenderhoney · 27/09/2012 19:22

Doilooklikeatourist, are you making sloe gin:) ??

Have misplaced new day serum stuff for face. Think dd has it, but despite looking everywhere can't find it. Did moisturise after bath and attacked horrible hard feet. Need new foot thing, so will be out looking this weekend.

Have just discovered I have a cyst on my ovary that needs treating so not feeling very princessy as I hate taking medicine/ being sick. have got some evening primrose oil so plan to take one a day too. No shred today as want to slack off and read book/drink wine.

Doilooklikeatourist · 27/09/2012 21:45

Hallo lavenderhoney yes, I am making sloe gin . I'm a domestic goddess wannabe , as well as a Princess !
We have a couple of fields , with hedgerows full of sloes ( for sloe gin ) and blackberries ( for crumble )
Went strawberry picking at a lovely pick your own , back in June . Nothing like jam , made from strawberries picked the day before .
Should I start a new thread ... The Domestic Princess and Her Larder.
