Day 100

So what have you done and what are you planning to do?

I've started on the water. I had planned to weigh myself but forgot (great start) in addition to everything else on my list I'm going to paint my nails later.

Well I'm on my way out to a boozy lunch with a friend which may turn unto an equally boozy dinner but I am looking rather gorgeous thanks to all of the body brushing, exfoliating etc. I might fit in some dancing round my handbag later. That's exercise rightHmm

AGeeksWife · 22/09/2012 18:40

Good bits first- I have continued to defuzz, my nails are all nicely painted, I have foot cream on, my hair is dyed, my eyebrows are presentable, I've moisturised nearly every day. Lost 3lbs this week!

Bad points- exercise has been fairly non existent, although my diet has been ok. I keep forgetting my vitamin. As its Saturday i completely forgot my water and ACV, which is annoying as i want to be good every day not just week days! And I fully intend to eat half a tub of Ben and Jerrys tonight.

MsKayGee · 22/09/2012 19:03

I have been totally on it for the past 3 days and it has been so worth it. I've done a mini detox, cut out all bread, pasta, rice etc and have basically eaten only meat, fruit and veg and only drank water.

I had a 'boudoir' photo shoot today and the pictures are amazing, my skin has never looked so good.

Relaxing now with a takeaway and a beer.

Paintyourbox · 22/09/2012 21:47

Karbea your princess Anne comment made me laugh!

I stink of Olbas Oil- bet K.Middy is more of a Chanel kinda girl. Ah well!

Can't believe we have already done a week, even though I have this awful cold I have to say that I do look better than I did at the start. My skin looks lovely and clear and well hydrated and I am definitely seeing the results of body moisturising every day.

Fruit and veg intake could be better- and can I warn you all of the laxative effects of raisins. Blush

Karbea · 22/09/2012 23:17

Ok!

I had a camomile tea first thing, then I wore a hair treatment, body brushed, scrubbed, plucked my eyebrows, epilated, body moisturised and wore the serum under my face moisturiser.
Then went out and drank a bottle of wine at lunch with my dh :(

My skin feels dreadful tho after my facial yesterday, spotty beyond belief!

Karbea · 22/09/2012 23:19

Oh and I had muesli for breakfast, and later an apple and two tangerines, but the had veggie pasta for lunch and then Chinese takeaway tonight :(

Karbea · 22/09/2012 23:20

Oh and took off my nail hand/feet varnish, but haven't repainted :(

Paintyourbox · 23/09/2012 12:19

Day 93

Wishing our colds would vanish! Today is going to be a very quiet day.

Had yummy porridge for breakfast, vitamins and cod liver oil done, on the water, flossing done, moisturiser and anti-ageing cream done, eye cream done, hair oil done, hair removal done.

On the hit list later today are my toenails which need filed and repainted!

BookFairy · 23/09/2012 19:17

I'm slacking a bit but I'm visiting family who have a weird hot water system so I'm waiting to shower and wash my hair! I've walked quite a lot today, moisturied my face, eye cream and my nails still look nice (read a great hint on here to alternate base coat with varnish and finish with top coat). I'm feeling horrible and bloated so I need to rectify that somehow?!

longjane · 23/09/2012 20:06

right the shred started tomorrow

I have lovely soft hair after leave in oil stuff and some setting lotion ( tip from a thread on here) so full of body. Well it was until the rain got on it.

I cannot believe how much moisturizing works. If i am in hurry i do after the shower before even dried off .

Have walked the dog today but not too far as it was pissing down.

Doilooklikeatourist · 23/09/2012 20:35

I can't believe how much better my skin looks , on face and décolletage .
Being a old more mature mum , I have quite a lot of sun damage on my skin , looking more peachy than before , so that's good .
Started the day with a lovely lie in ( 10 am . Never heard of ) then a lovely cooked brunch , grilled bacon , tomato , fried ( homegrown) egg and wholemeal toast , with a glass of OJ .
Nails are shaped and buffed .
Exfoliate and moisturise is now easy to do , vitamins ready to go .
Beautician tomorrow , to defuzz , legs , underarms bikini line and top lip , and eyelash tint .
Will make hair cut appointment for next week ( or the week after )
I WILL start excercise this week .
I will ( honestly )

MissBoPeep · 23/09/2012 22:31

Total newcomer- what is a 100 day challenge, please?

HelgatheHairy · 24/09/2012 08:24

Hi MissBo - the challenge is a challenge to spend 100 days doing those little things that we all mean to do but often don't get around to doing. So exfoliating, drinking 2 litres of water a day, body moisturising. The challenge started on 15th September and is running till 24th December but feel free to jump in any time. This is the "prep" thread

Terrible weekend. Got drunk both nights (I don't even drink ... well months can go by without me drinking), did not take make-up off before going to bed (I never do this), ate two bars of chocolate to ease the hangover, took no vitamins. No wonder I feel like a bag of shit today. Back on track now.

I do need some advice on healthy breakfasts. At the moment I'm eating fruit and a couple of Belvita biscuits but it's not really enough to see me through till lunchtime. I would love to eat porridge but I can't bear it. Any ideas for quick, filling, healthy things I can eat to supplement the fruit?

HelgatheHairy · 24/09/2012 08:59

Day 92
So I haven't been here in a few days. I am still doing "stuff" though. More or less. The thing I'm finding the biggest challenge is the water, which I'm surprised by as I've never really had a problem with it before.

Yesterday we were going to the in-laws for lunch and I actually did my make up and dug out a nice top. The glittery flats I was wearing did prove very impractical for the beach but at least it was easy to get the sand out!

We have horrendous colds here. Trying to do the challange whilst having a bunged up snotty nose plus 2 snotty slimy shoulders from 2 snotty bunged up grumpy children is no fun. I'm doing the basics but not much else.

A quick question on itchy heads, possibly dandruff. I used other shampoos for years with no problems, but 3 years ago when it was on offer started using head and shoulders but i have switched to TRESEmme recently. Every time I've switched in the past I get a really itchy head panic and go back to h&s. Someone told me recently that h&s creates problems and dandruff. So do I just ride it out and buy another bottle of TRESEmme when this has finished and see how itchy I am then (which will be about 4 weeks) or do I accept h&s is what I will have to use forever? What do I do?

Doilooklikeatourist · 24/09/2012 12:25

addiicted I had an itchy scalp , and was advised it could be "product build up " and to either use the expensive shampoo they sell in the salon OR find a clear shampoo and use that . I'm using one made by Simple at the moment , it's as clear as water , might be worth a try .
I have nice hair free legs and other bits , Tinted black eyelashes and the next 2 appointments booked , ( early November , and just before Christmas )
Popped into Aldi , they have teeth whitening toothpaste for 99p , so I'm giving that a go .
Feeling good , luckily no colds here ( flu jab booked for next week though )

BookFairy · 24/09/2012 12:27

addicted I have dermatitis (face and scalp) and was prescribed Dermax by a Dermatologist. It is available in Boots and has genuinely saved my scalp! In between I use shampoo for sore scalps either by Barefoot Botanicals or Lavera as they are free from chemicals etc. On phone so can't link but I buy from Lucy Rose online! I can link when home tomorrow night. I think h+s is harsh for sore scalps as it strips them and causes them to build up scabbiness - technical term Grin

Paintyourbox · 24/09/2012 13:01

Lurking how about eggs for breakfast? Quick to prepare and should help see you through until lunch. I also like to add yoghurt to my breakfasts as it fills me up longer I think.

Addicted we all have colds here, it's awful. Snotty and knackered!

Lavenderhoney · 24/09/2012 16:20

Back on the princess wagon tonight. Back to exercising tomorrow plus must add some Pilates and swimming. I hate the gym:) all ths exercise is the only thing that makes me do the body lotion etc stuff. Otherwise I just look at myself, am revolted! And reach for a b of chocolate and a baggy t shirt:)

Well done all those keeping it up:)

maristella · 24/09/2012 16:31

Day 92 update:

Generally doing well, although I need to weigh myself. I went out on the weekend in jeans that I haven't been able to fit into since 2007!! Very pleased :) although I had to cover up a shocking muffin top.

I had loads of sleep over the weekend, which is why I didn't get the monster hangover I probably deserved.

Onwards and upwards, have handfuls of salad leaves to go with dinner, and I need to princess my feet! Hot, oily bath tonight :)

maristella · 24/09/2012 16:34

Oh and I really think I'm coming down with a cold :(

addictedisback · 24/09/2012 20:00

urgh, I just want to complain so please bear with me!

I feel like crap, my head hurts, my throat hurts and my nose hurts.
I have to do something tomorrow (ok dont have to, but not the point) I reallyl dont want to do, I feel sick and already teh angsiety is starting to creep in :( I fully expect to have a panic attack before 10.30 tomorrow. I'm fed uup and want to sleep but dd2 didnt sleep any more than 10 minutes at a time last night and dd1 was up every 2 hours so dh and I took turns healing with the girls. I'm shattered and dh has to drive miles (a 300 mile round trip) tomorrow is leaving at 7am and will be back at 9pm...ish, maybe, as long as the meeting finishes on time. Which it wont. So tonight I am dealing with the wake ups by myself and then dealing with the girls all day tomorrow and all evening. then on wednesday dh is doing a 200 mile round trip so its all me again. I'm exausted and I just want to cry and complain. Ive had ENOUGH and I DONT feel like a princess.

that is all.
Thankyou for letting me rant. I'm off to make an ice cream sunday and sit watching crap telly for the next hour.

addictedisback · 24/09/2012 20:02

argh and dh is watching star treck, so NOT OK.
