Very expensive mum boots, non?

Is it just me, but they are just like the noughties horrors aren't they?

I remember talking to you about red blazers before. I was wanting a proper military one to wear to work as a 'statement' but ended up just getting a cheapo cotton one in H&M. I will investigate the Gap one but really I want full-on gold buttons and pref a medal or three! :)

Sew on some medals and change the buttons.

Will perhaps be wearing silver fake snakeskin Ilse Jacobsen calf boots this fall. Will I still be allowed on MN?

They sound nice Dona - I am loving snakeskin at the moment and fancy a snakeskin top - saw a nice Equipment one but will wait for the zara version provided its not bloody polyester.

I don't think I know what I want yet tbh. I want a black skirt of some sort but that's boring. And lots of tops - but I hate buying tops, which is why I now need lots!

I want ankle boots but will probably fall in love with some knee high ones again

Tops are dull aren't they, always wear mine out and keep to a minimum.

And t shirts are another crazy price thing. £70.

mm the two things I want this fall are ankle boots and kitten heels - I am surely doomed.

I got a lovely red blazer too in the Zara sale, mrsCB has inspired me to give it an outing!

I found the perfect ankle boot from Nicole Farhi last year, or was it the year before? Can't remember. Anyway I bought 2 pairs in black and 2 pairs in brown so I am sorted.

Also have 2 pairs of Topshop ankle boots with gold heels. When I like something I tend to bulk buy!

I thought these Clarks (who knew?) ones here were a pretty good Pistol alike and good value too - but am not known for my boot savvy.

I like those - wish they did them in grey.

I tried those on Ollie - they weren't so great irl. The leather was a bit crappy and they pinched my toes. I do have large feet though so I can't really blame the shoes for that!

I have Pistols (and the topshop copies) and find them a pretty useful part of my wardrobe. Lots of outings, along with my Jalouses, in the absence of a proper summer this year! Absolute chasm of difference between them and the Next horrors linked to.

Know they're not universally popular but keen on Ash Bowies for next shoe buy.

Great thread! I love the pistols but don't like black boots although others look good in them, in fact I don't really wear much black at all. The brown are lovely though. Agree with Marsha that there just isn't enough choice of ankle boots out there.

Remus I have been looking for grey ankle boots since last year. Brought some grey ASOS Aggies on sale over the summer as a stop gap but still looking for non suede ones.
dexter oh what a shame about the Clarks ones. Had high hopes. Wonder if Kurt Geiger will be doing their copies again this year?

This will be my third winter of trying to find grey ones. I saw a couple of suede pairs last year but didn't really want suede; the only leather ones I found were truly hideous Clarkes ones. The search continues!

stupid question alert Those of you who wear pistols with skinnies: is that boots over the trouser bottoms or are you so skinny that there's room for some boot underneath your hems?

I bought a pair the other day & am really pleased - very comfortable & they look expensive, Aldo shoes can be a bit crap sometimes. I spent ages trying to decide between black & grey, think I want both really.
