Very expensive mum boots, non?

Is it just me, but they are just like the noughties horrors aren't they?

AmI in fashion then as I have not one but two pairs of boots this shape. And, I wear them with boot cuts (not ankle flapping mind!). But then I am 52 and the mother of two grown up children so hey ho I am allowed to be considered frumpy (although I don't consider my self to be so)

PippiLongShocking · 20/08/2012 18:39

If you like them, why not wear them?

Well I would if I had a job where I could slink around in lovely dresses and knee high boots. But for my current lifestyle they're not necessary.

SundaeGirl · 20/08/2012 19:07

They are SO mum boots. Dull o Rama.

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:08

Def not mum boots its all in the shape of the heel and the slant

YingTongIddleIPo · 20/08/2012 19:13

They're very 'Next'.

yellowraincoat · 20/08/2012 19:15

It is also all in the height of the heel. Wear a heel or don't wear a heel. But faff about in-between and you will always be skirting in MB territory.

dexter73 · 20/08/2012 19:16

I like them. I like dull boots though. What exciting boots could you recommend instead?

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:17

Oh sorry but you lot are so funny with your mum boots.

Its the way you wear them surely?

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:18

Kitten heels are also back - someone better tell Isabel Marant she's in dangerous mb territory Wink

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:19

Dexter how about some nice wedge trainers? [innocent]

kissyfur · 20/08/2012 19:19

I bought myself the topshop Amelie ones for winter, think I'm going to take them back now!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/08/2012 19:21

They are stupidly expensive.
They are okay only.
I tried some v similar ones on with black skinnies and they made me look like I was trying to be some sort of Mexican-esque grease-boy, or a bullfighter, neither of which is quite the look I was going for.
I think black ankle boots look wrong with both black jeans and blue jeans.
So they are not for me.

dexter73 · 20/08/2012 19:21

Oh yes Mrs CB they are really up my street!

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:23

Its how you wear them but again its how you wear anything!

mamalovesmojitos · 20/08/2012 19:23

Total mum boots.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 20/08/2012 19:23

They're not MB to the trained fashion eye Wink spends far too much time examining boots in detail

DON'T MENTION THE WEDGE TRAINERS

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:24

Love kitten heels with skinny jeans esp sling backs likethese sadly out of my budget but can see zara doing some. Cos have some lovely pistol a likes

yellowraincoat · 20/08/2012 19:24

Kitten heels are awful. Just seriously seriously awful. Just because some ponce arse designer tries to sell something to you as wicked cool doesn't mean that it is.

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:26

yeah ok

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:27

I want a ponce arse designer though as I don't have time to design myself

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:27

Gosh thanks yellow - I'll remember that Wink

I do love S&B so much Smile

Anyway I love my pistols very much indeed.

yellowraincoat · 20/08/2012 19:28

Aw, don't take it badly. Wear your MB and kitten heels as much as you like, I am a narky cow who only wears plain things.

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:28

I think fly boots are mum boots or block heel shiny things.

dexter73 · 20/08/2012 19:29

I think you are wicked cool MrsCB - (we can wear our bat tops together!).
