I've got some lovely kitten heel boots from Duo moves away from S&B

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/08/2012 19:31

Fly boots are deffo mum boots.

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:32

Dexter - I did just spit my wine out at that.

Its my birthday you know - I am 40 so my taste may be going haywire.

Callisto · 20/08/2012 19:33

I think they are hideous, whatever you wear them with would not change the innate dull and ugly look of them. And what sort of a name is Acne fgs. and £350 for a pair of fugly mum boots fgs.

Caerlaverock · 20/08/2012 19:34

Hurrah for the return of kitten heels

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:34

Oh no 40 is cool I have had much better clothes since 40.Anyway you have that beautiful coat you must be cool Grin

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:34

I reckon Callisto is on the fence

Caerlaverock · 20/08/2012 19:34

So wise ones what boots should I be buying this year?

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:37

Well seems like next is quite popular

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:38

Next? Pass me the smelling salts

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2012 19:39

I got them a couple of years ago. Didn't think they were going to be trendy so wasn't a consideration.

I did really like that they had a bit of a heel, made me feel taller but could be worn on school run. So a sr boot perhaps...

I didn't get black, but a very pale colour. Did love them though wore them out in a season.

I want something different this year and wish more designers did ankle boots. Not much choice.

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:39

mum boots

Caerlaverock · 20/08/2012 19:40

I can't go into next, the polyester makes me staticy I might spontaneously combust

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:40

I have the ash short cowboy boots and am wearing them this year as can't justify another pair!

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2012 19:41

Yep they are too different.

Caerlaverock · 20/08/2012 19:41

They are vile noddy

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:42

No there isn't much choice - its either Marant rip-offs of Acen rip-offs or those incredibly expensive chloe studded ones.

I like a bit of a heel too but that's because I am short and stumpy.

New Look and tosho good for boots generally.

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:42

I was just thinking of meryl too

SundaeGirl · 20/08/2012 19:44

Similar, Better, Cheaper

Caerlaverock · 20/08/2012 19:45

The mum boots are vile btw not the ash ones

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2012 19:45

God I love that movie, have watched it so many times. 'you eat carbs for Chrissake' makes me laugh.

noddyholder · 20/08/2012 19:46

I love it too. Ridiculous but so am I Grin

smellylittleorange · 20/08/2012 19:46

Whilst trying to decide on the mumsyness of a boot one should ask - would Anthea or Fern or that otherone who is married to that Irish Morning TV bloke wear them? If the answer is a resounding YES then I am afraid they are Mum Boots ...

But I can't decide if they would or not Confused fwiw I love the Topshop Mighty lookalikes!

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:47

I love it too Smile

The jalouses are too flappy round the ankle for me.

smellylittleorange · 20/08/2012 19:48

OOh yes sundaegirl the Ash ones are exactly right for some reason I can not imagine Fern wearing those!
