hf! I remember you. Have any cryptic mind boggling clues as to what various slebs are up to to share?

Hello to hf-crossed posts before! Lovely to see you on here again!

Strangely enough, was wondering how you were just this morning (was thinking about old posters in view of recent discussions).

Am fairly unstylish still due to BF but doing my best. Managed to take just the baby shopping the other day and tried on a variety of jeans. Purchased indigo skinny Cherrys- good fit on me (didn't make my bum look ginormous). I have had to move from low rises to mid rise due to a bit of a tummy, although was called 'thin' by the GP at my postnatal and asked if I was okay (in a nice way).

Hi Dec I just think the idea of a uniform makes it easier to get dressed - and vary the 'look'. We have also had so many costs this year that I am keen to be relatively austere - but still looking like I do pay heed to this

www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/trends/2012-13-autumn-winter

There is a fabulous Erdem dress in there - cobalt blue.

I can get so tempted when I go into places - I just think 'Oh that's a pretty top' - but with no idea of what the heck I am going to do with it!

Abs No gossip!!

looby Hello! I really like the Cherrys. Good fit on me and good price. They also last well. I have white and indigo and red.

I really want this cobalt blue dress. The name of the website really puts me off though!!

trixy Nice dress - very Anglomania.

I need to be more careful with what I buy too, plan more. I love that cobalt colour.

I can't do low waisted jeans any more either, Looby. Now have you come across many Mirena failures? (scared)

I don't think there is an invite to miss out on yet looby and dona (unless I have missed out on it too!), there were just a couple of messages about the new thread etc this morning - PM me if you want me to forward them on.

My God, I am having the most unproductive day ever. I have about a billion things to do, and I know I can't actually achieve them in the available time, so i am not achieving any of them. I need to actually prioritise, but the trouble is that the fun ones are the lower priority ones, so that doesn't actually make me do anything either. Fail.

Hi Dona - put the dresses in garment covers and put in taxi to venue?

Just ordered this jersey blazer from Outnet. Not sure if it will work being double breasted, but we shall see.

Hi Marsha - and you!

I really must get on with finalisingholiday work.

Off to Roussillon 2 weeks on Sunday - mobile home'ing it for 10 days! Thanks Bloss (in absentia) for advice. And thanks to NY for advice too some time ago.

We are interspersing the mobile home with a few nights in Catalonia in a nice hotel - I've got to be broken in to these new holiday ideas gently! All in all it's costing 75% less than our last holiday - dh is shocked I have even agreed to it. He had to be reminded it was my idea in the first place!!

Beautiful weather here.

dona Is there a pic on Pin of the Grecian Lanvin? Sounds divine!

hopefully Start with one of the low priority to dos? At least you have something to tick off your list.

Parents are visiting tomorrow and house is still a mess. At least I made the guest bed including flat sheet so they have a place to sleep. Will pile everything else into my study and shut the door

Sounds more like Mumsnet 'Easy Living' or 'Essentials' magazine. Vogue is about aspiration and fantasy, not the everyday.

Google Tim Walker's Vogue photography and Shona heath's set design and see my point.

There's no invite - you would need to be friends with one of us on FB though. Dona, Hopefully, Marsha, Looby (any other confused regulars) send me a PM (although think you all know my RL name).

hf So good to see you! DH was equally amazed when we did our first farm holiday with DD. The rent for the apartment for a whole week was lower than what we had previously spent for a weekend city break à deux.

mignonette sorry, obviously no one told you we left the bitches behind on the other thread.

trixymalixy · 17/08/2012 12:08

Well mignonette, the thread was called the MN Vigue by lurkers who did find the posts aspirational and fantasy for us as the prices are out of our reach, but found them inspirational for high st purchases.

mignonette · 17/08/2012 12:09

Tim and Shona's work is invaluable. I'm not swallowing your dose of sarcasm. I cannot believe it's still skinnies, skinnies, skinnies and ballet pumps. Hardly Vogue.

Loving the Clarks boots hopefully and the dress is fabulous trixie

SS12 was mostly slubby tops, skinny jeans and ankle boots...looking forward to AW12. Currently wearing sweaty running gear, apologies for the smell Wink

Check out the 'More dash for less cash' Vogue archives, Trixy for aspirational style. They are great. Especially Kate Phelan's work.
