Ooh no, I got it in coral. I have Asian colouring, and the yellow made me look, erm, interesting , shall we say? (not in a good way)

My best buy last season was a black silk top from Zara in the sale (I didnt' shop in Zara for years whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?). It has pintuck detailing in the front, and short sleeves. It's amazing, it looks good and I just love it. I think they had similar tops in other colours and I really regret not buying more

Zara had a brilliant SS12 season. They had so many gorgeous clothes! I hope their AW collection is as good. Work is going well for the first time since 2007, and I have a good splurge planned

Ooh lots of lovely links. My best purchases this season have been a navy Me&Em dress (tulip dress) and my beloved blue mini gracie. I think I'm going to get the ruched Me&Em this winter and the top Decam linked to. Are there any Me&Em codes around?

Best buy: I wear grey Aggies a lot (thanks British summertime Hmm.

AW12: A coat. Ideally a navy duffle. John Lewis had a great one last year, which I foolishly didn't buy.

SS13: can NOT wait. Baby will be out, I will be a size 10 (haha), the sun will shine, I will shop til I frickin' drop Grin

(I used to be an Italian suffix, but see what I did with my new NN?)

RIGHT. I have had a nanny advert up for a good 30 minutes, and no one has applied yet. The bastards.

In others news, this busy thread is preventing me achieving anything in the way of work this morning, but I am struggling to care very much.

In other news, I am rather hopeful about these (cough) clarks shoes. I am just waiting for my local shop to get the 7 1/2 in, as the 8 was too big, the 7 too small (just call me the ugly sister). Think they will be a good work shoe, heel not too high.

I am also contemplating these boots.

I'll be in the corner with my wolf fleece if you need me.

hopefully Try childcare.co.uk You have to pay, but there are loads of candidates. And you can check them out before paying...

I'm hitting H&M later. Mainly for the toddler, but hope to find this pink blazer too.

hopefully Fingers crossed you'll be flooded with messages from lovely nannies soon. Love the suede boots! Do you think they might be too clumpy for my Ingenue Naturalness? Also: Does animal print equal "dramatic"?

Also if some lovely person could pm me and tell me how to do a link cause I have bought a lovely oasis blouse and some kg boots that I would like to check are not too 'mumsy'

Thanks

So happy to have found this thread

Paste the link into the message box and tick the little box below that says convert links automatically. That's the easy way or there are instructions to do the links with square brackets below.

I'm wearing my Ash Bowies indoors like a complete saddo, because I just love them so much. Am also channeling bloss in my slinky Whistles tee.

SaP love the NN!

Right, Outnet has failed me. No free delivery this weekend, so will order and link in a bit!

Strike on chilcare.co.uk, do I contact people who I think look good, or put a profile up and wait for them to contact me? Am perplexed by it.

Fritzi they might be a bit clumpy. I'll probably get them soon so will photograph them on my feet and you can see them on a person to decide Smile

Oooh ... that blazer is gorgeous! I love H&M. I went in there yesterday and it was amazing.

I'm in a quandary at the moment, as in November I finish paying off my student loan and will finally have money to spend on clothes (nice!) but DH and I have decided to start TTC which means pregnancy. Which means not fitting into nice new clothes Sad

It's a tragedy (but for nice reasons)

abs Are you on pinterest? I've just started a pregnancy style board (v much in its infancy). As soon as I think I'll have Clothes Money, we go and buy a house / conceive a child / get married, so I feel your pain Grin (all nice things, I know).

hopefully I'd set up a profile. People are bound to contact you, but it means that if you find someone you want to approach, they can read about you, too. It's certainly not the easiest site to navigate.

Great to have lots of new posters. Well done, Trixy, I like the new thread name.

Molto clever, StrikeaPose!

I like those Ash wedges, Amber, I saw them in the local Question Air yesterday.

I am worn out (no pun intended) after this morning. While I was neglecting my children for mumsnet, DD2 ate some orange chalk and then noticed the stair gate was open, crawled to the top and was poised for flight to come back down when I caught her. Finally out of pajamas though and in Me&Em dress and Havs, one child is in the playpen and the other is on the iPad.

Abs, well they'll fit you for a while! Good luck with TTC.

Popping in to say hello to those who remember me! Smile

Have been busy with family issues, dh being away for 6 months and work. All in all a bit of a 'mare but onwards and upwards.

Mumsnet Vogue is a great idea.

Looking forward to A/W - loving all the dark colours (particularly garnet). Am going to try and create a uniform to keep costs down. You know several tops in dark blue, garnet, moss green etc with coated black skinnies - or reversing the look with dark colours on the bottom with tweed effect jackets (a la chanel Zara) on top. Will most likely live in ankle boots, knee highs and ballet pumps.

Winter Florals are also quite appealing to brighten the darkness.

S/S? Well didn't buy a lot. Have lived a lot in coloured skinnies with long seam line tees. Added to that a few dresses already in the wardrobe - my favourite being a 7 year old DVF.

Sigh - can we just watch Mean Girls on DVD - I really have no interest for real life drama beyond what my 2 DDs produce during their bursts of sibling rivalry. I care about fashion, looking reasonably stylish and have started liking so many of you. Can we just go on?.

Can I still talk about my life sometimes? Grin
(Am wearing a superboring outfit of sky blue MiH skinnies, navy Vagabond wedges, navy extra long Only blouse, already took off the coral Zaral jacket.)

For the night: DvF Alessandra brightly patterned dress or the off-white grecian Lanvin? I'm leaning towards the former.

Just ordered a platter of 60 pieces of nigiri and maki sushi over the phone.

Preparty jitters

Major problem in life: how to get my dresses to the party location without creasing and rumpling them Shock

Air kisses to all...
