.....but we are still Stylish (if not Beautiful).

I like the look of that, but the idea of clothing with a tutorial makes me weep Grin

bigTillyMint · 30/07/2012 15:17

I have been shopping with DD and her bff, and have come back with a bikini Shock I blame you Stropps!

Cremolavelodrome · 30/07/2012 15:28

Ooh all this bikini action is making me feel like Julie Walters as Mrs Overall.
I am v Envy of your beach toned bodies
I am on the verge of getting a nigella getup
After trying on my hater neck swimsuit.

bigTillyMint · 30/07/2012 15:31

Hollow laugh Cremola Sad My body was far more beach-toned last summer. I am wondering what I can do by a week today Hmm

The bikini was reduced by 75% and only cost £8 so not the end of the world if I don't wear it....

Cremolavelodrome · 30/07/2012 15:55

You'll look great- just adopt couldn't care less attitude. Lol
On another note - why will fake tan not stick to my legs ? Do I need to use a darker colour? Can't stand fake tan usually but refuse to go to beach with my lilac legs of horror Sad

bigTillyMint · 30/07/2012 17:39

I know I won't look great, but who cares? Grin

I have never used fake tan, so I'm afraid I can't help you. Luckily I tan reasonably well (golden rather than a deep tan, but much better than DS's milk-bottle white!) despite being very blonde!

TheReturnOfStropperella · 30/07/2012 18:21

Yay, go BTM! Grin Grin

I can't offer any fake tan advice either, sorry Cremola. My legs look like they are made of Stilton. Grin Actually, possibly Stilton with a sprinkling of brown crumbs as I have some more freckles thanks to the bikini-wearing this last week.

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/07/2012 20:11

So what should I do, Hags, write job application (closing date tomorrow!) or clean and tidy kitchen which looks like the wrath of god, largely due to children making ice lollies and spilling orangina and grenadine all over the floor, and cat then walking in it, so little pink and orange spots have now sprouted clumps of fur. It's really not nice.

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/07/2012 20:13

I am snorting at Lilac Legs of Horror. DD2 has informed me that I have German Armpits and Legs Like The Cat's. But the nearest I will get to a beach this summer is Paris Plage.

bigTillyMint · 30/07/2012 20:16

Write yer job application and make the messy DD's tidy up their own mess!

I am snorting at the German armpits (I noticed that at least one of the MALE German gymnasts had shaved his Shock) and the lilac legs. My bf at school's nick-name at school was pastry legs Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/07/2012 20:20

I have got them to stack dishwasher and tidy, and I will wash floor.

bigTillyMint · 30/07/2012 20:40

Stop procrastinating MrsS! Hope the job is for Londres (more crepey meetups!)

Cremolavelodrome · 30/07/2012 21:39

Have applied fake bake. May need to roller it on like a bodybuilder. Rofl @ German pitsGrin.
Grenadine and Orangina lollies sound spectacularly exotic Btw.

herbaceous · 30/07/2012 21:50

Off to Olympics tomorrow, with 'park ticket'. Have sadly picked one of the few days when it's a) going to rain and b) not feature anything faintly interesting, or Tom daly. But it's only down the road, so feel we should go and soak up the atmosphere.

Hope DS is in a better frame of mind today. He was so bloody minded today he ended up in the park dressed in his pyjama top, pants and nothing else. Soon to be coated in that hideous blue ice team I always swore I'd never let him eat.

CointreauVersial · 30/07/2012 22:37

Cremola - I use that tanning body lotion (Dove or Johnsons) if my legs are looking pasty; if you use it every day it slowly builds up and never streaks. I can't be bothered with all the precision faff that is necessary with fake tan.

Have fun at t'Olympics, Herbs. Did anyone see the Men's Team Gymnastics today? Edge-of-seat or what? We woz robbed of that silver.

MrsS - write that job app!!

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 31/07/2012 07:27

Yes, we were watching the mens gymnastics - bloody Japan Angry! The coverage is frustrating though - DD and I went to see the qualification rounds in Feb or so and when you are there you can watch all the pieces on each rotation whereas the cameras are only capturing one thing at a time and doing a lot of waffling inbetween. We are now looking forward to the womens....

Should be going into work to sort my new room out later - who said teachers have long hols???Smile

MrsSchadenfreude · 31/07/2012 07:50

Still haven't written the job application - will rope in a friend to help me today. But lest you think I have been idle, I have completed the first 3000 words for a competition for a children's novel. (I need to complete the whole thing by September and have never attempted anything for young adults before. But I like a challenge.) Grin

Cremolavelodrome · 31/07/2012 10:30

Mrs S - can I ask you a q question. I'd like to get my haircut next week in France but not sure how to ask for what I want. Normally I just get a 'brushing'
Want to ask for a short bob.
Any help would be terrificGrin

Blackduck · 31/07/2012 11:29

Dp reckons you could stake me out for several weeks in blazing sunshine and my legs still wouldn't change colour....... my armes, back and feet tan, but my legs stay resolutely white.

Dp is back from Chile in one piece and is now going to see if this house move is actually on. Got a removal quote and nearly had a heart attack - somewhat more than I anticipated, but frankly I am not humping things in and out of a van (done that twice and it has nearly killed me both times) Dp and I need to still down and work out logistics....

EnvyEnvyRuby sounds fabulous Envy

bigTillyMint · 31/07/2012 15:20

Ooh ruby I am Envy too - don't think our AI will be quite like that!

And DD has "broken" her (well, DH's work) laptop, so I envisage a few tantrums once bff goes home...

Blackduck · 31/07/2012 15:36

ruby, you can go off people you know ......
