Your thoughts please so I don't waste my pennies.

I've just purchased another bottle (fool me twice...) of Co-Op nail polish remover that wouldn't shift polish

ever..... ever...... ever.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse! Bloody crap.

anniewoo · 27/06/2012 23:15

Fake tans -many different brands, all promising a streak- free, golden tan. Yeah right!

anniewoo · 27/06/2012 23:16

Agree bout the Clinique black honey Grin

FiftyShadesofViper · 27/06/2012 23:19

Anything by No7. Every time I think "I won't fall for that again" and every time I do, I think WHY???

Devora · 27/06/2012 23:22

Touche Eclat makes my eyes all scabby.

Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser - highly perfumed yellow milk. Nasty.

Any fake tan.

Any expensive mascara. Rimmel does fine.

Any cellulite-busting cream. Yeah, right.

Nanoblur.

Nars orgasm. Sparkly orange shite.

anniewoo · 27/06/2012 23:25

Oh i do love this thread- calling it as it is Grin 8 hour cream crap too as is nanoblur and strivectin.

Devora · 27/06/2012 23:29

What IS the difference between 8 hour cream and Vaseline? Except that I actually prefer everything about vaseline, especially the price.

shockers · 27/06/2012 23:36

The Clinique three step thingy. I did it for about a year and got progressively older looking. It dries your skin out something nasty.

I use something from the health food shop now... and I look about 18 Wink.

ZacharyQuack · 27/06/2012 23:50

Benefit Bad Gal and Maybellene Great Last mascaras. Both clumpy, flakey, smeary tubes of awfulness.

Every L'Oreal moisturiser I have tried has given me spots and clogged pores (and my skin is usually pretty stable)

Clinique Black Honey - meh.

Garnier BB cream - orange and greasy.

Not sure how some products become "cults", assume it is clever marketing and lots of freebies to beauty editors.

MonaLotte · 27/06/2012 23:52

Estée Lauder BB Cream - makes me spotty and feels really heavy.
Clinique three step system - too much faff for no noticeable difference.
Virgin vie one step face base - looks like I've put on loads of cheap pressed powder.
Herbal essences tousle me softly cream - should be tousle me greasy!

cocolepew · 27/06/2012 23:53

That Chanel foundation that alwsys being banged on about in S&B.

firstsupermum · 27/06/2012 23:59

hair serum from avon, errrrrrrrrrrrr.
nivea sun protector, return my face blue and dark every time, horrible

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 28/06/2012 00:36

Any tinted moisturiser. Yet I foolishly keep trying.

WHY can't a company make one for ivory, ivory skin that has hints of blue and red? :(

ComradeJing · 28/06/2012 06:55

Nars Orgasm. Vile colour that suits no one.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 28/06/2012 07:32

BB cream
Clarins beauty flash balm
Nano blur
No7 mascara that absolutely stinks

Hopefully · 28/06/2012 07:33

The benefit primer. Dr feelgood? Something like that. Greaseball skin instantly.

Almost any eco-friendly shampoo. They never work. I keep trying.

However, I love both 8 hour cream and beauty flash balm, so what do I know?

ScooseLooseAbootThisHoose · 28/06/2012 07:38

Clinique 3 step the clarifying lotion burntisland skin and the moisturiser made it do greasy.

peggyblackett · 28/06/2012 07:51

I went to buy the Black Honey lipstick following Sali Hughes's recommendation, and recoiled at the colour. Even the sales assistant agreed that it wohld look like utter shit on most peoples complexions.

IDismyname · 28/06/2012 08:01

I like Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser - works a treat on me!

I second - or third - all Bio Oil comments. I broke out in a rash. Nasty stuff.

Ameliagrey · 28/06/2012 08:32

Probably ALL eye creams.

I've tried the best - from Estee Lauder- to the cheapest and none makes the slightest difference. Only surgery will remove lines, bags anad drooping lids.

And ditto for expensive body lotions. Lovely as a gift for that "special factor" but good old Neutrogena works for me.

EldonAve · 28/06/2012 08:55

Toni & Guy smoothing detangler - it's watery & doesn't detangle anything
Toni & Guy serum - also rubbish

ogredownstairs · 28/06/2012 08:59

laura mercier foundation - separated instantly and looks really talcy
bio oil - smells horrid and is orange
Liz Earle hoy polish cleanser brings me out in spots - Eve Lom much better

but I love Clinique Black Honey and have been wearing it for about 15 years - the colour in the tube is not what it is on the lips. Only fault is that it's more of a gloss than a lipstick so doesn't last long

ogredownstairs · 28/06/2012 09:05

oh, and Toni and Guy leave-in conditioner. Smells disgusting ( like an unaired teenager's bedroom) and leaves hair sticky and crunchy. Actually threw it straight in the bin. Grrr

Callisto · 28/06/2012 09:18

Hopefully - try Faith in Nature. It is brilliant.

I tried the Body Shop eco friendly shampoo once (can't remember which flavour). Not only was it full of parabens and sls's (which I don't expect in eco shampoo) it was shite too and made my hair lank and greasy.

Can't stand any Herbal Essences stuff (back in the day when I was still buying 'normal' shampoo) as it just stinks.

BornToFolk · 28/06/2012 09:32

I didn't buy it, I got it free with the latest InStyle magazine but BodyShops "Big and Curvy" mascara is crap. It has the worst brush I've ever seen. It should be called "Short and Spindly"

The Soap and Glory deep pore cleanser is awful too. I can't remember what it's called but it's the one you are supposed to remove with a damp muslin, like Cleanse and Polish. Only, unlike Cleanse and Polish, it gives me huuuggge nasty spots. It seems to clog up my pores rather than cleanse them. I ended up throwing most of it away.
