Was out for lunch today with a friend and she was wearing a perfume that just smelt expensive, luxurious and just gorgeous. Forgot to ask her what it was but just wanted to know what you would consider an expensive perfume smell?

You have to text her and ask her now!

I need to know!!

tunaday · 30/05/2012 18:30

Yes, text her!LOL I think Lady Million by Paco Rabanne smells expensive. The name is horrible and the packaging equally so, but I think it smells 'classy' and expensive. I'd been looking for a new scent because I've worn the same one for about 20 years. It's actually a men's one but I have had loads of comments about it and couldn't actually imagine a bloke wearing it. It's called Roma by Laura Biagiotti. You can't buy it in the UK but you get it in duty frees and can order it online. To me it is unique and reeks of cash!LOL And it's far cheaper than most perfumes.

Chicinwellies · 30/05/2012 18:36

This smells very expensive um because it is (sorry) Coco Mademoiselle. Gets commented on All the time.

LynetteScavo · 30/05/2012 18:38

I'm not keen on Mademoiselle. Sorry.

Although no Chanel purfums smell cheep.

anniewoo · 30/05/2012 18:43

Why don't u text her and ask her and let us know

ginghamfish · 30/05/2012 18:56

It was Cristalle (not sure of spelling) by Chanel...v. nice!

hattymattie · 30/05/2012 19:00

Oooh I've got Cristalle eau vert - glad to know I smell classy and expensive -
Smile

TeaJunky · 30/05/2012 19:01

DH recently bought me coco
Mademoiselle and it smells so luxurious, I normally spray perfume on throughout the day but am being really tight with this one Blush

LynetteScavo · 30/05/2012 19:08

Oh, yes, that's one of my favorites, especially in summer. Smile

Tinker29 · 30/05/2012 22:52

I've just bought the new one by Roberto Cavalli it's lovely!

daimbardiva · 31/05/2012 00:20

I just treated myself to Mademoiselle today - as soon as I sprayed it on I couldn't stop sniffing it..absolutely love it, and yes, I think it smells expensive (and it was, but I paid for it with advantage points, hurrah for Boots:) )

LookAtAllTheseFucksIGive · 31/05/2012 00:26

Ooh Narciso Rodriguez for Her or Alberta Ferretti parfum.

LittlebearH · 31/05/2012 03:40

Another Coco Mademoiselle fan. I also like Angel by Thierry Mugler. Again very expensive. People either love it or hate it though. Remember Posion... again love it or hate it. I used to love it as ann 80's kid -My mum had it.

I seem to like the expensive strong perfumes. In the 90's it was Obsession by Calvin Klein. 90's was Jean Paul Gaultier.

A cheaper ish one is Gina by Benefit. Very girly.

Bucharest · 31/05/2012 06:39

Littlebear- are you me?!!

Love Angel, Poison and Obsession.

Am currently being grownup and sophisticated and am wearingChanel 19 though (and have to carry on now because dd says it smells of me!!) but people keep raving about both Coco and Mademoiselle so must go for a sniffy.

nothingoldcanstay · 31/05/2012 07:47

I wanted a replacement for Fendi by Fendi which smells of expensive holidays in Salzburg, gold, leather and lots of money.

Put off by Mademoiselle when the nice chap in duty free told me it was the most popular in the world! Shame because it smells great. Like Chance as well

Chicinwellies · 31/05/2012 07:58

The others to try if you love Mademoiselle are - Miss Dior (EDP, toilette smells completely different), V&R Flowerbomb, Prada Iris, and the original Chanel Chance. x

Pollykitten · 31/05/2012 08:01

I second Narcisso Rodriguez Her and also Tom Ford White Patchouli is lush..have been stopped in the street and asked what it is

Pinkglow · 31/05/2012 09:21

coco Mademoiselle was brought for me by DH and I love it. Not one I tend to wear during the day though, more for evenings out.

At the moment my day one is the green Chloe one, Im not sure if it smells expensive or not

BrittaPerry · 31/05/2012 09:24

Chanel No. 5 is my favourite expensive one, but I like Viva by Fergie for cheap-but-smells-not-cheap everyday perfume that I just spray all over me all the time.

oohermrs · 31/05/2012 09:29

I wear chanel chance in the spring/summer which people always says smells lovely. But in the winter I wear Hermes 24 Faubourg which smells gorgeous & expensive (probably cause it costs a small fortune!) Grin

loobeylou2012 · 31/05/2012 09:40

Guerlain Idylle for summer, Elixier de Mervielles in winter; I fear they smell expensive because they are though Sad nothingold he was wrong! NO5 is world wide best seller, mademoiselle is uk best seller though, which is why I don't wear it, it is lovely though...

janji · 31/05/2012 09:40

Just bought the limited edition Jo Malone , plum blossom. Gorgeous!

Charliefox · 31/05/2012 13:20

Yes, second Jo Malone. I also think Ellie Saab.

WhereMyMilk · 31/05/2012 14:17

Jo Malone-Pomegranite
Victor & Rolfe-flower bomb

Lovely both. Always get asked what I'm wearing!:)

QueenieLovesEels · 31/05/2012 14:22

I miss Fendi by Fendi. Absolutely gorgeous smell. I like strong scents too like Mitsouko, Aromatics Elixir and Ysatis.
