just catching up on the thread.

bloss I have similar pointy snakeskin leather pumps like the ones you linked to from M and S of all places(bought last year though so can't find on website)in the sale for 25 pounds.

dec and rufus I once explained to people I met at a party how I knew the host(this thread!I'm a terrible fibber!)and got some very shocked looks!

every I am so incredibly unzen, really admire you.I am a bit of an anxious annie, good for my metabolism but I want to dampen it for good longterm health!

right off to catch up on 'the good wife',how I love Diane!

alwaysrunninginheels · 05/05/2012 08:20

Omg- have just ordered the acne boots from KG and found an old elle gift card from last summer giving a total of £141 discount! Will have to return the matches ones(and the oh so lovely matches box) but am so so chuffed at the discount. And delighted that it didn't come up a week later. A&W thank you.....off to lurking land again!

OllieinOrange · 05/05/2012 08:32

Bollocks. Just lost a long post when the laptop froze. Hate it when that happens.

Only time to say that The White Company has a few new things online. here
Think the lace cotton insert top will be good for me to wear wíth various cardis and I also like Fritzi's dress in ash (which I think is slightly darker from the pebble colourway but difficult to tell) and this grey slub vest top, good for white jeans
20% code is IDHM2

Everything - sorry, I didnt realise the franchise wasnt a done deal. Can only imagine how frustrating that is for you. Sad

notyummy · 05/05/2012 08:39

Morning all. Sunshine outside at the moment!

Pleased at those of you getting excellent KG discounts. Good work.

Went out for early meal last night with parents, dh and dd. weather was so awful that I stuck to grey skinnies and low heeled boots, and oversized stretchy Breton. We tried a new local restaurant that was very nice- and as they hadn't hit their alcohol license yet they were giving wine away!!

Hope you get your pistols rufus! I dislike the KG website (although not as fiercely as R and B's lack of one) but feel I may have to go and peruse it to make use of such a lovely discount. I'm a bit over summer clothes spending as I'm starting to feel that it's all a complete waste, but I do have a yearning for some leopard print slippers (I've been wearing a fab primark pair for quite some time and they're not what they once were).

Can't believe I missed mrscb at Bicester by just one week and also decam (I think, most of my reading has been done at 4am) by just a day. Trench sounds great. Have been wearing my Burberry alot lately but do wish it was 2 sizes smaller.

I'm enjoying my weekend lie-in but it's slightly marred by the wails I keep hearing from downstairs... Still, it's good for DH to know what it's like!

Excited that I'm going to see lots of friends this weekend but some tough bits too; my dear friend who lost her baby last week is coming over to see me this morning and I'm worrying about what to say. Then on Sunday night we're seeing a couple who are really struggling to conceive and I feel a bit awkward about introducing DD. Wouldn't it be wonderful if there was some magic way to ease the pain of our friends? Hate feeling so helpless.

On a brighter note, no rain here today! Cold but sunny, it's a start. Hope you all have lovely Saturdays.

I too will, sheep like, be buying that fake tan!

blue2711 · 05/05/2012 09:14

Need to clarify that haven't actually been lying in bed all this time - wrote post over an hour ago and only just posted it.

blue2711 · 05/05/2012 09:15

Just in case you were all shocked at my extreme laziness and ability to ignore my DC! Right, I'll be off now.

Decameron · 05/05/2012 09:28

AlwaysRunning, glad you got the boots. Why not stay delurked?

Rufus, hope you get your order too! If I have any money left at the end of the month and they have 39s left, I think I will order them in black too.

Blue, it was not me at Bicester, unfortunately, but Dauphin! Sorry about your friend's baby, very sad.

Nice stuff at White Co, Ollie.

Had an awful night with DD2, she has been such a bad sleeper lately. It is probably just as well if I forget about working for a little while.

MidnightinMoscow · 05/05/2012 10:12

Good morning.

More rain here this morning - totally sick of it. We also have frost forecast here tonight which is ridiculous.

Blue, sorry to hear about both your friends sadness and loss. The fact that want to take their pain away says so much about you as a friend. You will find the words I am sure.

Ladies, I need some bag advice. I am really lacking in good bags, mainly because I use my changing bag most days because I need to lug so much stuff for DS, food and meds etc. However, on the rare occasions I am free from DC's I really have nothing else. What would you say is the definitive list of bags needed to cover all occasions? Sadly, I am not looking at AH/Mulberry but probably around £60-150 per bag and would build a collection up over time.

At the moment I am thinking:

Evening bag that can be a clutch and shoulder
shoulder bag for day in summer - big enough for keys, phone, purse, make up etc
ditto above for winter.

Help me!

Decameron · 05/05/2012 10:47

Hi Mim, did you look at KG? They have some nice clutches. Jigsaw have lovely bags too, also some Whistles bags are on sale. What colour? Fed up with the weather here too. I am in skinny jeans as per usual with IO breton top and lots of red lipstick, in an effort to brighten up tired face!

Decameron · 05/05/2012 11:23

Also, I saw this bag in a local store, thought it looked great.

Has anyone seen Sarah's Key? We watched it last night, very good but so sad.

DonaAna · 05/05/2012 11:28

May I join you? I've been an occasional lurker for well over a year.
I'm trying to tell myself that I'm not really interested in clothes...

My tastes run high and low.
Recent purchases: 2.55, Sisley's huge leather tote (for my daughter's stuff when I lug her home from school), and a ton of clothes from American outlets (work-related trip Blush)... Want to know more?

Oh, and I'm based in Rome.

DonaAna · 05/05/2012 11:34

Forgot the link for the Sisley - it holds a ton of stuff, second row from top, far right:

www.sisley.com/collection/accessories/

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/05/2012 11:34

Dona - you sound my type of shopper Wink Which colour 2.55 and what from the outlets and oh to be based in Rome . . .

MIM - I bought a lovely nude colour clutch from Cos - was less than £50 and very Celine in style.

Right off to hoover car before DH freaks at all the biscuit crumbs left by the children.

AntPants1 · 05/05/2012 11:42

mim I recomend Zara for clutches. They have some lovely ones.

DonaAna · 05/05/2012 11:53

The problem with the 2.55 is that one is not enough.
Black lambskin medium silver - but will eventually get a navy maxi too - am saving up, that is Blush

I went to DC and my haul includes Red Valentino, Philosophy, Marc Jacobs and some 100% polyester but very serviceable Calvin Klein...
Navy, coral, red.

Eagerly expecting a trip to Cos soon...

blossoming · 05/05/2012 12:31

Have been mountain biking. It is SNOWING.

pickledsiblings · 05/05/2012 14:02

Phew, black pistols ordered and these too as a hopefully wise alternative to the Ash one which Icey reckons don't last long enough before wearing through. Thank you to runninginheels for alerting us all to the MC code and to the lovely Red for posting it.

Red and Suburban, enjoy your weddings - I don't get invited to many of those anymore as all my friends are old like me married off already.

Thanks for posting about WIT Ants, I am really looking forward to her baby Fridays (how sad am I?).

Ollie, when are you off to Portugal?

Had a ridiculous start to today as we were all still in bed watching youtube vids at 9.30am when I realised that DD's audition (will tell you more about it later) was at 9.50am and not 11.30am as I had assumed. Cue mad dashing about, boys in the car in their pjs and DD minus breakfast warming up her vocal chords on the 20 minute journey. Saw two magpies on the way and they were running late (not the magpies FleecyGrin) - hurray! Fingers crossed that DD will have more success this week than me although the odds are about the same (1:10).

pickledsiblings · 05/05/2012 14:13

one is nice too Ants but one yellow bag is probably enough for me.

Looby, you asked about the nature of the job I went for - it's still in education but more on the creative web-based side. I don't think I've been successful in getting this one but there will be another related job up for grabs some time in the not too distant future so who knows. Glad the colours went well, anything to get you through the next few months Smile.

AntPants1 · 05/05/2012 14:35

That is a lovely clutch pickled I must be strong...

blossoming · 05/05/2012 15:04

Sorry for barging in on a 2.55 conversation with my weather update. Hadn't read back. How much are they dona?

Was reading the Phase 8 thread. Have you seen this silver top ollie, and ants, this is a bit of a homage to that Matches top that was so pricey.

AntPants1 · 05/05/2012 15:12

If I ever won the lottery... www.thejewelleryeditor.com/2011/03/pomellato-brings-us-the-colours-of-capri/

Am trapped at home with iPad. DD has virus (saw the dr this morning, viral tonsilitus). DH has gone off to play football. Cannot go out as DD is not up to it. DS is climbing the walls. So am looking at shiney things!

Lovely top BTW bloss. Alas too black for a spring like me...

loobylu3 · 05/05/2012 15:14

Loving the KG frenzy on here! Had a dreadful time trying to get the website to work. Even when it stopped clearing my basket after 10 seconds, the code wouldn't work. Can I double check- is it MC25 into the promotion code box? Otherwise, I might be tempted to buy a cope of MC and give the sweeps a try (budget won't stretch to pistols sadly but I can admire everyone else's).

By the way, anyone who is interested, Elle magazine has 20% off Summer collection at Oasis.

ants- I ordered those last week and silly asks sent me completely the wrong sizes! I decided not to bother to exchange.

pickled- the job sounds interesting. I'm sure it's a good thing to branch out and try something slightly new.

MIM- second Zara for clutches. Have you tried ebay also if budget tight? I rather like vintage evening bags but not sure if that is you or not.

I must say that I do the opposite of what WIT advises! I can't stand my own clothes after about 6 weeks, except the ones that are too large or jersey dresses, etc. I also don't bother with maternity bras and don't by big pants either, although I probably should! Thinking back though, I probably was more like her in my first pregnancy before everything stretched!

AntPants1 · 05/05/2012 15:23

Have just bought these. 25% off everything in warehouse this weekend. www.warehouse.co.uk/carina-sandal/Sandals/warehouse/fcp-product/307244
