Hi all!

Sorry about the rain/hairdo situation Hopefully.

I am eating G and Bs Mint dark choc as I write Verity.

Bloody cold here. And wet.

OP posts:

Good idea re another year. (I took five I think with a bit here and there to make it look less empty) but then I give myself palpitations by trying to do two things at once.

Anyway I'm sure you will be ready to roll then.

I didn't see they were not leather Bloss, yes go for leather.

blossoming · 04/05/2012 18:23

I've been thinking a lot about equality in the workplace recently decam as have been studying the topic with my A level students. Karren Brady had an interesting interview in the back of one magazine. Workplaces have to adjust if they want the best people I think. Doesn't happen in reality though I know as many on this thread can probably testify.

cardoon · 04/05/2012 18:47

..........did you not get on with the Pure mac MRSCB?

rufus101 · 04/05/2012 18:56

Bloody hell can't get onto the KG site. Am practically having palpitations here!
That's great news Decam, have a think about it and you never know, you might just be able to work something out for a nanny.
Love those PJs Bloss, perfect for your shredded legs!

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/05/2012 18:57

Cardoon - it was enormous! I could have got me and my 3 dc's in the size 8!

cardoon · 04/05/2012 19:01

ahhhh........have ordered a 10, which is winging it's way......are returns free? Grin

Decameron · 04/05/2012 19:06

Rufus, you will have to get the Pistols now. I could probably find someone but was looking at DD2 and feel it is not fair to her as DD1 had me at home with her. Not that she'd care, probably! Also, I might fluff it, having spent the last few years doing Gymboree, etc. Need to brush up on a few things.

Amber, is the pink Raoul bag still calling to you?

Thanks for checking for me, MrsCB. I have a pink Coach trench coat, they are so well made.

Decameron · 04/05/2012 19:07

I will have a look for that article, Bloss. I could probably negotiate fewer hours if I were paye, but it is a contract role.

suburbanstyle · 04/05/2012 19:08

Well done Decameron good for the ego if nothing else.

Also didn't realise KG sold Acne. IME the Kurt Geiger website will accept multiple codes so might be worth a quick search to see if there are any more around.

Looby I have a few bits from J Crew, and in the quality is good, but not necessarily better than Gap etc, it's just that they offer so many different colours and styles.

Hope you manage to get some time to relax and catch up with yourself this weekend annie.

Do you have any white skinnies Ollie? or maybe a maxi skirt you could wear all your beautiful sounding tops with.

Very much enjoying the fake tan chat. I love the stuff but don't dare put any on until my skin clears up. Which leads me on to a style dilemma... Am going to a wedding tomorrow and had planned on fake tanning my corned beef legs, but they are still too dry/it will be too cold. Should I go for very opaque black tights, low denier black or skin coloured???

cardoon · 04/05/2012 19:11

Sorry, should have asked, did you like it otherwise - outside the sizing issues?

I have also been searching for single breasted but can't quite stretch to a Coach.

AmberNectarine · 04/05/2012 19:14

decameron I am obsessed with that bloody pink bag. I think I might just buy it next week as I am getting fed up with thinking about it! I get like this about bags and then they don't get used and sit at the bottom of my wardrobe looking accusingly at me. I'm talking to you LKB Annina.

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/05/2012 19:22

The coach was £148 at Bicester which is the same as the Pure one and is much nicer.

The Pure one was ok but the material was a bit too 'sateen' if you know what I mean. It could have veered a bit too much into mumsy I think.

cardoon · 04/05/2012 19:23

hmmmm....thought that might be the case....

Thanks, seventheverything have already abandoned the summer dress I was planning so might as well go whole hog in opaques as well. Feel sorry for bride and bridesmaids even though you can't ever bank on the weather don't think she expected 2 degrees in May.

I would be going crazy without hot water, you sound very zen about it. Smile

Decameron · 04/05/2012 19:43

Definitely opaques, Suburban.

Hope you get gas again soon, Everything.

I'm off to do my CV. Just in case.

alwaysrunninginheels · 04/05/2012 19:44

So does anyone know what the kurt Geiger code is? Please!!!!! Can't be bothered to go out and buy a copy just now as have a large glass or red waiting.....

You're absolutely right everything, perfect catalogue colours. No beige.

suburban, I would wear opaques too. I am bloody freezing and a) have the heating on (sorry everything) and b) am wearing knitwear. Indoors.

We normally have lovely weather in May here. Especially this first weekend. How gutting for the wedding party. I got married in October half term - quite predictable weather wise. What else are you wearing?

Wish I had the weather/opportunity to wear suede red peeptoes. Don't ask me why. Just still bored of all my clothes.

Russianred · 04/05/2012 19:51

I'm at a wedding tomorrow too Suburban and it's an outsidey type one. Have absolutely no idea what to wear. Might give the Me&Em its first outing.

Decam that is such a great boost for you, to be so in demand! You have to do what is right for all of you; did it sound like there was little room for negotiation re hours? I imagine you could find someone good at short notice, but would imagine that doing anything at short notice could lead to niggling doubts more easily. Love the chest for your DDs.

There's going to be a rush on Pistols now!! Who is going for a pair?

PjS are gorgeous Bloss, so cute without being cutesy.

Mac sounds lovely MrsCB. Am aware it's absolutely not your style, but I received <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=petit+bateau+yellow+raincoat+urban+outfitters&um=1&hl=en&biw=1366&bih=643&tbm=isch&tbnid=_y8eJXqFmdwDUM:&imgrefurl=fashionfinder.asos.com/womens-Petit-Bateau/Petit-Bateau-Jersey-Lined-Anorak-Yellow-1042334&docid=NqwTGxHR8UjELM&imgurl=images-ff.asos-media.com/shmotterstorage/4307/large_d3bc69cb-8526-44ec-b2ca-5381b0939e7a.png&w=267&h=400&ei=yySkT77xFYOu8gOrp4TOCA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=868&vpy=111&dur=54&hovh=275&hovw=183&tx=67&ty=165&sig=113668068442705492181&page=1&tbnh=138&tbnw=110&start=0&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:0,i:78" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this today. It was a gift from a very generous relative and is so me. I completely love it.

Russianred · 04/05/2012 19:55

I bought this yellow dress (but from Primark, not Ebay, for £7) at the weekend and am contemplating wearing it tomorrow with black opaques. It's a gorgeous dress actually - cotton and an excellent fit. Am v pleased with it.

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2012 19:57

It's cold right now. Yes to opaques.

Everything no hot water, eeek!

I realised I have too many unworn really nice shoes that I don't wear in the day - Chloe, Vanessa Bruno, Kors, Marant etc. They are sitting there waiting.

My new thing is to make sure I wear each in turn when I go out. Starting this weekend.

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2012 19:57

Lovely dress Red!

Decameron · 04/05/2012 20:03

Love the raincoat, Red, and the dress. There is absolutely no chance of changing the hours as it is onsite for a project. I am going to leave it but rejoin the ISTC, brush up on the software packages I've forgotten, etc. Shame as the money would be great.

I do the same, Marsha.

If I had any money left, I'd buy the black pistols. But I don't so I won't. :)

AmberNectarine · 04/05/2012 20:06

Am considering this for the wedding circuit this year - thoughts?
