Thanks for the holiday wardrobe thoughts. We are off to Portugal. I only have one maxi which I have yet to wear (brought in France 2 summers ago - blue chambray one). Have seen a grey and navy striped jersey one which I may get to try - more eveningy and possibly more flattering than my blue one. You made a good point about tailored shorts Bloss - have some white ones which look nice with a taupe draped vest top which has a nice neckline.

Im very interested in the fair VL tan stuff but they want 12 pounds for postage from the VL website which just tips the balance cost wise esp compared to the great price Boots are selling it at. Have emailed them to see if they have stockists over here. Brought some fake bake stuff for fair skin last year which was ok but this stuff sounds wonderful. Thanks Rufus for the tip off.

My HoC consultant said I should wear pointy shoes, and have found these 'pointed ballet flats' here. Think they're a bit £££ for non leather though. They have a black patent pair too, which would earn me extra brownie points!

Just got a call about a 6 month contract in my old company, I would love to do it and they are an excellent company but I reluctantly said no. :( It is to start asap, don't know how I'd get a nanny at such short notice and DH wants me to work part time when I do go back to work (not as easy to find). At least they haven't forgotten me.

I think they are £10 per hour roughly (plus tax at around £2?).

It's hard to do quick starts. How about someone with a nanny that might do 6 months nanny share? That will be much cheaper.

Kurt Geiger describes them as pink but they look nude to me. Matches assured me there's were completely nude with no undertone colour. Palpitations at possiblity of rebuying from KG with such a huge reduction......Imagine i could spend the difference.....

They look bit lighter in the KG pic (assume it's just the bleached out shot) but don't look Pink. They must the same.

Look here at acne they only do a few colours, no pink just that 'skin' colour.

On another note I didn't know that KG sold Acne! They are really nice btw.

I think I will hold off for another year but work on my CV, read the industry magazines rather than Vogue etc. I did have a good chat with the HR person, she said that looking after children is a perfectly valid reason to be off work for a few years. I know it is, of course, but I still worry that a gap of being a sahm looks bad to an employer.

Dec - no red bags at all in AH in fact very poor show all round on the handbag front.

Did manage to buy a fab mac in Coach - a rich beige colour with lovely buttons and no belt and single breasted - honestly I have been searching for a mac like that for years so really pleased.

Oh that discount is tempting but they don't have my size in the black - they do on matches so will wait for them to send me another discount code I think. But what a fab de-lurk Porshe!
