Ooh, how exciting. Loving it.

MarshaBrady · 20/03/2012 20:01

Good luck Mim!

AmberNectarine · 20/03/2012 20:06

Back from Westfield, didn't buy much, just a few basics - this in navy and a couple of really excellent sheer TS in charcoal and lilac. Also found my navy cardigan courtesy of Uniqlo. Definitely want White jeans after trying a cropped pair in Uniqlo, which were good but too see through. My SS12 wardrobe revolves around navy, grey, white and lilac with the odd flash of neon. Fancy these too. Also on lookout for a great day dress, perhaps a simple T-shirt style. Hmmm.

Bloss this missoni one is nice, but print is maybe a bit small scale? Also like this burberry one, this is the wrong fabric but nice print and possibly a bit Natural for you, cotton/silk McQueen, probably not enough black in this one.

rufus101 · 20/03/2012 20:10

Yah! MIM Great news! Hope it all goes swimmingly. NY's birthing vibes worked clearly! Very Envy of your Australia trip BTW, but I couldn't do less than the shoe inventory you compiled. I think you are being very restrained.

Oooh! Dublin soon for a MU?! Obviously Decam could come "home" for the weekend!

Bloss I ADORE that bikini. In fact, I am bookmarking it for when I am more in a bikini buying mood. ie when I've booked my flights.
I really like that scarf Ollie, and I would totally go for the dress if it looks nice on you. Vast majority of my wardrobe has been bought on sale. Does it make you feel smug or like a mug? That is my barometer for buying something heaving discounted.

Was in town today looking for shoes for First Holy Communion for DD. God, they are bloody awful. 50 euro for a pair of white sating tat, that she will get one wear out of. Fortunately she is wearing my dress, so I am spared that dilemma. She didn't like any of them herself, so we were empty handed coming home.

Ok. Somebody talk to me about the J Brand majors. Was very tempted to order on shopbop, but they would be still 200 euro, so am inclined to be more wise. (I do have 4 pairs of j brands) Are they really for pears (albeit slim ones?) I tried on a pair of Houlihans the other day, and really liked the fit of them, but didn't like any of the colours they had. Too pale a blueetc.

Also has anyone seen this thread on the glycolic peel stuff from Bravura? I actually bought some of this stuff last month, and used it for the first time last week. (As hadn't bought the neutraliser, which when I finally go it, realised it was just bread soda!) Anyway, my face hasn't fallen off and I have high hopes reading the responses!

Hopefully · 20/03/2012 20:10

Can you tell I'm avoiding doing Ripped?

blossoming · 20/03/2012 20:19

Hi rufus! Can't she wear your wedding shoes? She could have mine if she's a size 41 (not helpful emoticon)!
Thanks hopefully. I like the mcQ one. I am also avoiding Jillian.

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/03/2012 20:25

Rufus - would little white satin ballet shoes do?

Bonsoir - watched new cookery programme set in Paris earlier - Rachel somebody and DD has informed me she is going to live in Paris when she is older. How this will work with the fact that she is also going to have her own horse and go hunting - I'm not so sure.

MIM - hope contractions pick up speed and you have a lovely swift delivery.

ItsNotUnusualToBe · 20/03/2012 20:30

Just a thought for blossoming - how about getting a hand painted scarf commissioned on etsy.

Zembo · 20/03/2012 20:32

Good luck MIM can't wait to hear your news.

Hopefully I really like the shopbop scarf and have bookmarked. Thank you Smile. Mcqueen one is good too. There was a Burberry one someone linked to a while back that I liked too, not fussy me!

Marsha fab bag, is it a clutch with a bit of a strap? Eres swimwear looks good too, are they for actual swimming or just posing?

Blue have PM'd you re: meeting up. My dd took a while to get used to ds being around, I found the first few months really hard - do you remember I was a bit evasive on the topic when you asked about it at our mini mu Smile When I was in the thick of it someone suggested that DD was handling things better than I would if DH brought home a new wifey and informed me that we all had to live as one big happy family. I'm sure you're doing better than I was.

rufus101 · 20/03/2012 20:32

LOL Bloss. Believe me, if I could do it i would.
I was just so annoyed today, looking at so many gorgeous dresses and shoes, I would love to buy her that wouldn't be a waste of money.

rufus101 · 20/03/2012 20:36

MCB that is what I have my eye out for. Seriously, the amount of mini "high heels" that are around is unreal. And the strop of course when I say "No way".
And this is what they label as FHC shoes. Seriously? Heels?
I wore black patent for mine! (My DM was waaay too practical. Even I baulk at that!)

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/03/2012 20:39

Rufus - bargain

VerityBrulee · 20/03/2012 20:42

Rufus there were gorgeous white leather Mary Janes with a picot edge in HoF when I was there last week. DD has them in silver, I want a pair too! They have lovely girls shoes there, much nicer than BTs.

MarshaBrady · 20/03/2012 20:44

Haha Zembo, for a light swim and lots of lounging. Plus I hear there is much posing going on .

And thanks! I think it's just a really small bag, long strap. Grin

Blue I really liked the Edelman sandals and Slay good work on NaP order.

Bonsoir I like to refer to Ollie and NY for the meet up calendar ( not sure if that's the way to go, but they are both very efficient at getting us together.)

Amber good shopping, I need tshirts Cos could be good.

ItsNotUnusualToBe · 20/03/2012 20:47

rufus101 Monsoon do some pretty shoes for girls.

Portia4 · 20/03/2012 20:49

Rufus what size is DD, I may be able to help you with white communion shoes, I still remember the girl in my class who wore black shoes and how we all felt sorry for her! I let my Dds wear their shoes after the event as I reckoned: what were we keeping them for? they really loved their shoes, the compromise with all 3 DDs was that I had final say on their dresses but they could pick their shoes ( within reason!).

FritziGreenEyes · 20/03/2012 20:50

rufus Don#t know anything about Holy Communions but could she wear silver flats?

mim Cudos for posting from the hospital! So excited for you Smile

OllieinOrange · 20/03/2012 20:52

Bloss Mulberry scarves? here

rufus101 · 20/03/2012 20:56

Thanks Verity, Dundrum is next on my hit list, once I have checked out Malahide. They sound lovely. In fact, why can't I get her those in silver. Would that look so bad? With a long white dress?
I just informed her I wore black patent shoes for mine. The look of horror on her face!!! Well it was the 70's in recession strapped Ireland, not unlike today.
Have checked Monsoon online, but she is not keen. Feel bad as I have dug my heels in (see what I did there?) about the dress.

pickledsiblings · 20/03/2012 20:58

Marsha, LoL at referring to Ollie and NY for the meet up calendar You played your part in this MU too don't forget. A big Thanks to all 3 of you. A couple of times during the evening I just stood at the cave mouth Grin and observed - everyone looked so happy and gorgeous.

MiM, hope you're bearing up Smile.

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/03/2012 20:58

Rufus - I am going to be very disappointed if its not a HC dress as I've seen on my big fat gypsy wedding Wink

I think silver shoes would look lovely.

My DD who is only 2 has lovely silver mary janes from papillion which Bunny mother recommended ages ago.

rufus101 · 20/03/2012 21:01

Portia think she is a 13, but she can vary from brand to brand. Thanks a mill. Will check out Malahide tomorrow and see what is there.
She will of course wear them after the event, but can imagine, they will look absolutely bleurgh as they seem to be all made of fabric.
Bloody hell, have just had DD ask me if my friends call me Rufus. Hmm, may have to name change!

blossoming · 20/03/2012 21:02

Thanks for the idea itsnotunusual. Did you use to post before?
Thanks to you too ollie, but deep breath and drum roll please.....
Call off the search.
I have just been playing with my silk square, and have found a way to tie it that doesn't make me look like an air hostess. So I'm going to buy the navy one I linked to, and as it's silk it will be a lovely true navy. Should I email Wendy Wink?
As for cardigans, I'm going to wear my lkb purple one over navy and grey vests with navy shorts. Yes, my work one.

I have had a lovely half hour shopping my wardrobe!

rufus101 · 20/03/2012 21:03

LOL MCB!
Yes, am currently researching limos and spray tans. Feel my local salon is being very unreasonable with their 18 years minimum policy.
