Morning!

I am horribly behind to won't attempt to catch up with everything, but hope everyone with holidays is enjoying them lots.

Just wanted to mention that if anyone else loves their Me & Em as much as me (got checked out at a wedding on the weekend by an old friend before he realised it was me. He made some 'phwoar' noise at the person standing next to him, who happened to be DH Grin. He was mortified!), they have a couple of other colours available for pre-order here. Naturally I have already done so Grin. They also have a nice maxi, and I am tempted to order this gold t-shirt, but I am always worried about flared t-shirts one me, as they can look a little tent-like. Although that model is so teeny that it is probably not as flared as it looks.

Have also ordered a selection of plain M&S bikinis, having decided that Totnes is not worthy of one of Bloss's gorgeous Violet lake bikinis Envy. If I make some unexpected money I am totally getting one though.

Am now off to place a Pure Collection and a Kettlewell order I think too.

Oh, and if anyone can inspire me regarding skinny/slim cut office trousers that are not black or navy, that would be lovely. I really don't even know how to style work trousers! What do you all wear yours with?

FritziGreenEyes · 09/04/2012 12:56

Happy Easter [busmile]!

Got back from Paris on Saturday. It has indeed been freezing but I had enough layers of cashmere with me to survive in my trench Wink.

My sister and her family stayed with us until yesterday. Have been trying to tidy the house for the whole morning and it is still a mess. DH has caught some bug and is in bed. He is already worried about not being able to get to work tomorrow. I really feel sorry for him because he is so stressed about work all the time. Wish there was something I could do to make it easier Sad

The weather is abysmal today. DD woke us with "It's snowing!" and it really was Shock. Snow all gone now but our new sun loungers look a bit sad all wet on the terrace.

My Dorothy P order is here but I don't feel inspired to try anything on right now. Will report later.

Hope all travellers arrive back home safely and those with newborns enjoy many lovely cuddles. Cudos to those who are entertaining house guests.

Emo76 · 09/04/2012 12:58

hello all and Easter greetings. Have displayed unsurprising lack of self control with the easter eggs (well, 18m DD2 can't eat ALL of hers...!) but have started to run again - my goal is to be out 3 times a week and build up to running for 30 mins non stop by the start of June. I can run home from work so that's a good way to fit things in.

Like the brown me&em hopefully - what do we think ladies - brown or grey for a brown eyes brunette? My only concern with the brown is that it isn't quite chocolate like and not sure what colour jacket to put with it for work. A first world problem if ever there was one!

Loving the holiday updates from bloss and notyummy

There are some bits and pieces in the White Company midseason sale also their swimwear is now in -not really for me (not supportive enough and I don't suit tankinis) but just to assist any avid ladies out there....

I love these MD flats.. but what would they "go" with?!

Emo76 · 09/04/2012 12:59

oh and cross posts wave to the lovely fritzi - hope the rest of your trip was a success, your poor DH it's horrible to worry about work like that - I am certain you are a big support.

FritziGreenEyes · 09/04/2012 13:01

emo White trousers/skirt/dress? Or you just have to get the floaty number they are pictured with.

Emo76 · 09/04/2012 13:26

fritzi I will ponder. I think you're right with white or maybe cream.... the floaty number wouldn't do much for me I fear colour or shape wise! hmmmm!

Must confess to having style stalked bloss and ordered a bikini from violet lake - not that I am bikini ready.

I meant to say, ants, good luck for the last week of your project and for your future plans including a potential reduction - friend of mine had one and it was life changing for the better for her.

FritziGreenEyes · 09/04/2012 13:28

Kitchen almost under control. DH asleep. DD outside playing swing ball with neighbours' granddaughter despite the cold. Cup of coffee and three Lindt mini Easter eggs for me Smile

blue2711 · 09/04/2012 14:51

Goodness the thread has been quiet these past few days! Nice to think you're all off having fun. The holidays sound marvellous bloss and ny. Am awed at your hostess prowess ollie - you deserve a holiday after all those visitors.

I too am a blazer addict. They feel very me and such a quick way to make an outfit smarter or more stylish. Shame you can't wear them in the house really. I have: 2 black, 1 grey, 1 white, 2 striped jersey, 2 sequin...probably more. Love the Verity boucle Zara ones.

Need to catch up properly. Back later. Hope everyone's enjoyed the long weekend.

MarshaBrady · 09/04/2012 19:21

Happy Easter!

We had a really lovely long lunch today with friends at our favourite place. Makes up for doing some work this weekend.

I don't have a blazer but I need one.

Hopefully · 09/04/2012 19:31

I love blazers. I really need to finish the one I have in progress.

Emo I think the brown is a very pinky brown. I love it, but suspect it will be no good on me (although intend to order both nonetheless just to make sure!). You have slightly softer colouring than me, don't you? So it might be better on you.

OllieinOrange · 09/04/2012 21:01

Hope DH is feeling better Fritzi?

Emo Whilst i really like the new colours, I think the grey would suit your colouring more?

Amber you were asking about holidays? Have a look at the Martinhal resort in Portugal?

Ants hope this week whizzes by so you can soon be enjoying your time off. ive been wearing my MD stripey top a lot, i love how it fits and its thickness. Big news about your consultation, have heard good things about such procedures. Keep a notepad handy so you can start scribbling down questions when you think of them now?

Friends who came yesterday were only visiting for the day, they used to live over here and were on a trip over. Have been sooooo tired today, have barely had the energy to speak to DH who is now in a bit of a grump at being ignored.

Ive also been wearing my navy jersey blazer a lot too, it was my first W&A purchase 2 years ago and haven't really worn it until this spring (am always 2 years behind with trends)

Have been obssessively searching for either a white linen or slub style long sleeve t shirt, to wear with jeans and a vest top underneath. Have found a few including this WC one, this gap one, this Mango one and the Whistles Peggy one. WC one may be too flary, the Gap one too cropped, the Mango one too fitted - do you see what I mean by obsessively searching?

FritziGreenEyes · 09/04/2012 21:01

DD and DH are asleep. The last load of laundry is in the tumble-dryer and I am having a glass of Cremant and a date with Don Draper now Grin

FritziGreenEyes · 09/04/2012 21:02

Thanks ollie. Appt is on the 23rd so a couple of weeks to wait. The main questions I have are on recovery time....I like the WC top the most BTW!! Reiss also worth a look and also Jigsaw. Oh and well done on being the hostess with the mostest!! I like having guests in theory! Am having my colours done on the 24 th (I know, busy week for me!!) Not long to wait until brighton. Am so excited!
Diet not so good today. Oh well, tomorrow is another day!
fritzi the weather sounds crazy where you are! I read about your new sun loungers and actually felt sorry for them....

Hopefully · 10/04/2012 07:04

Morning! Got a horrible shock this morning when I weighed myself - turns out that four days of indulgence was perhaps a shade more than was good for me. Back to Jillian I go. Incidentally, and I'm sure I've said this before, the Master Your Metabolism cookbook is really good if anyone's plotting a health kick. Even DH is converted.

AmberNectarine · 10/04/2012 08:20

Have woken to a house devoid of children and husband. First time I've been alone in the house since July. It's either an alien abduction or DH has taken the initiative and is dropping DS at nursery. Whichever way you look at it there are shades of the Twilight Zone.

I have the biggest girl crush on Jillian ever. She is directly responsible for me losing 5lbs in 2 weeks. She is therefore a minor deity

I had a great conversation with a friend yesterday at our very long indulgent lunch. She looks amazing and has been doing marathons. We talked about the whole prep thing and I am going to Nike Covent Garden to get new trainers and outfit.

(false start the other week as trainers are too small, my feet have grown after pg!)

Work finishes this week. SO excited to be released! It was good, but I thought about it all a lot. Now it's light I can run, run run. I'm psyched!

Just nearly lost my iPhone in the changing rooms at Donna Ida while buying J Brands. Surely that is the absolute definition of a first world problem?

Bonsoir · 10/04/2012 14:41

Grin at AmberNectarine.

I went to Cos this weekend and tried on this and this, both of which I loved. I was feeling guilty about so much shopping recently (think H&M at Marni) and DP was with me so I made a big show of not buying but now I am beginning to regret and might have to go back. Not that I have any time for errands.

I also need to buy make-up and, rather than just repeat buying same-old same-old, I would like to try out a new look. Do any of you have any recommendations as to which of the brands I should try? All usual brands available.
