Hi all Just wanted to say bretonbee a pair of my black Simple Pumps suffered a similar misfortune. I took them back to the store I purchased (HN) and they have sent them to what I call the CL hospital. It takes a while, but the heel will be repaired and re-redded. Takes approximately 4 weeks. Alternatively let me know if you want the details of the cobbler CL use in London and I'll PM. Time to replace the contents of my underwear drawer - little pre-holiday ritual so off for some Good Friday retail before my holidays.

bretonbee · 06/04/2012 13:04

Thanks choogirl I will call CL and ask their advice, I've had them about a year though so if not I will ask you for the cobbler.

Lovely weather here today, I also went for a run this morning so feeling pretty good.

Potty training progressing ok, no accidents but somehow also only one wee? Anyway Daddy taking over this afternoon as I am off to Selfridges. Yippee!

Have lovely weekends all. Glad you are feeling better blue, certainly sounds like you are very happy which is lovely.

Slaymill · 06/04/2012 15:12

Sorry not been on problem with norton being hacked and got a virus. Spent last two days sorting it.

Hope everyone is having a great Easter, NY and bloss seem very happy.

Hopefully excited about your relocation news. What did you buy on your spree ?

Re Customer service problems Im having problems with Mulberry they will exchange the bag but not refund the purse. Which is very annoying and included being told it is illegal to return anything without orginal reciept which DP lost with had a copy printed by them but, that isnt good enough.

Im sending chloe wedges back. Keeping my J. Brands 811s and now oredering in my colours. I got a American retro top also going back.

Question about the TS ponte does it feel very polyester ?

Hope the new mummies Icey MiM and blue are sleeping and feeling brighter.

Off to read the thread now..

OllieinOrange · 06/04/2012 16:01

Having a short break from hosting duties as DS1 has a swimming lesson, enjoying sitting here not talking if that makes sense! Having nice but busy time with friends, out to dinner to my favourite restaurant this evening.

Will catch up on thread now.

Bonsoir · 06/04/2012 17:38

Fritzi - I'm always up for spending lots of money (even if it's other people's!) in Caravane. Let me know when you are coming back! Sorry it's been so freezing here in Paris these past couple of days!

AntPants1 · 06/04/2012 20:43

Hello all. Lovely day here in London. Went for walk in Richmond park followed by lunch in pizza express. Was ok. DS at two is always a bit unpredictable but was fine in the end thanks to my peppa pig app on my I phone! Have very little purchasing to report other than a blow out in Massimo Dutti last week. Some lovely lovely stuff. I got the navy silk top MIM has and a lovely stripy blue bretton with zips in the shoulders which I think ollie has?

Really need to loose weight and am starting to tackle it. Have been using MFP for last 10 days. My you really do need to cut back don't you. Frightening how calories catch up with you. Hopefully this will help me be more aware of quite how much I am eating. Am also planning to shred. Just not today as am filling up with cold! Have also booked consultation with a surgeon to discuss a breast reduction. So could have a whole new me!!!

Work starting to slow down and only have one week to go before my extravagant three weeks off. Can it wait!

MIM and icey and blue lovely to hear you sound so besotted with your new arrivals. amber I feel your pain on the lack of sleep.

bloss, red, and NY lovely to hear from you. Hope your holidays continue to be fabulous!!!

bretton good work with potty training. Fingers crossed it is painless.

Anyway lounging around this evening.

Happy Easter everyone!

MidnightinMoscow · 07/04/2012 12:27

Hello All.

Ants the MD top is lovely. Not that I have even tried mine on yet! The breton is really nice too, like the zips..makes it a bit more edgy really. Good luck for the appointment with the consultant, I worked in a Harley Street hospital for a while and saw some amazing breast reductions that changed women's lives. Good for you.

A wave to Choo Smile

DH was fab last night, and I got a good run of 6 hours sleep. Ended up using all my stores of expressed milk for it but was worth it, I really needed it. My scar was hurting yesterday and today I woke feeling a 100% better.

Right, DS is asleep in his bed, DD asleep in the moses. Time for Elle and a cuppa. BWT, it has a £15 Whistles voucher this month if anyone is interested.

Bye!

blue2711 · 07/04/2012 12:38

How funny mim, my DS has just gone to sleep in his bed and DD in her Moses too - what bliss. Have millions of chores I should do but am having a well earned sit down.

Hello to all!

blue2711 · 07/04/2012 12:43

ants pizza express is our favourite restaurant when with DS: you would actually feel odd if you didn't have a child with you in our local one! Good luck re. the breast reduction. It's a funny old world isn't it; I've been absolutely hating my chest now that they've deflated back down to nothing. I know it's very silly but it makes me feel self conscious and unattractive. Must get over it (and perhaps buy some decent underwear!)

VerityBrulee · 07/04/2012 14:03

Great to hear you are getting some rest mim and blue it does change your whole perspective on life doesn't it? I had to go to bed early last night as ds had some friends over for a sleepover the night before who went to sleep at 2.30 and were up again at 7

I am trying to resist buying another blazerBlush i have acquired 6 at least since December. I really feel the cold so need layers but realised that cardigans were making me feel mumsy. I feel much more together in a blazer! The one I have my eye on is pink tweed in Zara, same cut as the navy one I'm living in at the moment, and I do love pink, and it suits me, and.......Going into town to buy Easter egg hunt supplies so I might just find myself trying it on!

fritzi I hope your trip improved, my 11 year old boy is going through a really tricky stage, and it can be pretty hard to deal with. I keep a constant supply of Green & Blacks almond choc in the house as it's the only thing to sooth my nerves when he has a meltdown. Brings me right back to the toddler tears!

Hope the sun is shining for all of you this weekend Smile

blossoming · 07/04/2012 14:36

Having paella on the beach. With wine. Bliss.

OllieinOrange · 07/04/2012 14:41

Verity look away now but Ive just brought a navy boucle style jacket from Zara - military style. Think its this one but in a more solid navy with silver buttons here. I did think of you when trying it one. Its a bit pricey for what it is but friend really liked it and will try it on with various things at home before keeping or returning.

OllieinOrange · 07/04/2012 15:20

Oh Bloss, sounds wonderful.

MidnightinMoscow · 07/04/2012 17:13

Bloss, that sounds heavenly - enjoy!

VB I too am a blazer addict, I am hankering after a grey one now.

Have been looking at the Jigsaw site. I know this has been a linked on this thread for the last few summers, but I do like it here and also this.

Also, anyone who loves fuchsia this is a good price.

Rather like these sunglasses.

Oh, it's like a itch that needs to be scratched...Smile

bretonbee · 07/04/2012 20:31

Nice jacket Ollie, I am also loving blazers and boucle jackets at the moment. Finally found some coloured skinnies that looked good on me yesterday in my Selfridges shop these raspberry pink ones and wore them today for lunch out with grey t-shirt and charcoal Vince boucle jacket.

Also bought this blouse as am finding my BR silk blouse very useful both for work and to dress up jeans.

Hope you are all having enjoyable Easter weekends although very Envy of paella and wine on the beach bloss. Counting down 8 weeks to my holiday (oh and have succumbed and bought Shred to go along with my running because we are going with friends and so need to feel more confident in my bikini than I do currently Smile)

blossoming · 07/04/2012 20:37

Nice links mim, but I'd be very wary of the dress. I sold mine as it was see through and shapeless. Love the scarf, but wtf sizing information. Can't they give dimensions?
I have (shh) been so cold this week. Could have done with 10 scarves. Yesterday wore maxmara coat OVER Roxy Blush.
Loving it here, gorgeous hotel I will link to when I'm home [paranoid]. Speaking the best Spanish of my life. Gaining 1lb a day.
Still thinking 'wow' at ants' possible procedure. Go Ants!!

blossoming · 07/04/2012 20:41

X post breton. Can I tentatively suggest 6 week 6 pack for excellent definition. Mix it up with Shred, then you'll have all areas covered! I'm also going to be on summer holidays with friends in August and intend to wear my bikinis. DS is lean and strong and highly critical!

AmberNectarine · 07/04/2012 21:34

Yes, 6w6p amazing!
Tried that stripy dress, was a shocker on me.
Glad you're having a great time bloss, shame about the weather.

Need to pick collective holiday brain; planning a week away first week of september. Want short flight (two toddlers) so probably Spain. Any recs?

OP posts:
MidnightinMoscow · 08/04/2012 07:55

Morning.

bloss, the see thru-ness rings a bell now. Thanks. Pretty poor info re the scarf. Some of their scarfs are ££, so you would expect some sizing information.

Lovely jeans (great colour) breton and very pretty blouse.

Quite Easter Sunday here, having our first roast in weeks and then off for a walk somewhere. DH wants to go to the Surrey downs, he seems to forget that hiking through gorse bushes is not really suitable for someone who had major surgery 2 weeks ago. Grin

OllieinOrange · 08/04/2012 08:33

Running in - just waved friends off to the airport and have another set of friends arriving in 1.5 hours. Its been lovely but am beyond tired now!

Managed a few hours shopping time with friend yesterday and along with the navy boucle Zara jacket (which now that Ive looked at it, doesnt have the zips of the one I linked too, just pockets and buttons instead). picked up this tshirt in the white with thin grey stripe from Pull&Bear - first time I have set foot into the shop and despite us being (and feeling) the oldest people in there, there was a few little gems. I loved the cut away back on this (will wear with a grey vest underneath - obviously) and it was a nice slouchy fit. Good with bf jeans.

Looking forward to getting back to normal later and being able to respond to everyone's posts.

Having a lovely Easter Sunday - for the first year every, I am without a proper easter egg to munch. Im going to miss that feeling of chomping down on half an chocolate egg! [busmile]

blossoming · 08/04/2012 10:04

I have been disciplined all week but finally succumbed to the raspberry tart for breakfast. Did 30 mins treadmill before breakfast but doubt it will make a dent in overall consumption! Home tomorrow, back to porridge.
Just saw a woman looking lovely in red skinny chinos, white slub tee and camel jacket. Overall, women are thin here and pretty stylish. Thinking Mallorca would be good that time of year amber. Someone linked the other week.

VerityBrulee · 08/04/2012 10:54

Your holiday sounds blissful bloss, raspberry tart for breakfast is right up my street!

ollie that sounds like my navy jacket, silver buttons and frayed edges? I love it! And the pink one that you linked to may be in my wardrobe now waiting for a good trying on session Blush It looks v similar to the navy one on the hanger, but the cut is much looser. Navy is M, but I got the pink in S and suspect I should have got XS
Confused I think the zips might be a bit annoying, if I keep it I think'll have to borrow a hacksaw and chop off the dangly bits! I love the colour though. You are a star to have so many guests back to back, hope you have a treat lined up for yourself.

mim I love the scarf with the tassels your dh gave you, I keep looking at the corally pink version. Hope you manage to disuade dh from a hike!

Chocolate for breakfast here so feeling a bit sick already. Off to the ILs soon, oh joy

pickledsiblings · 08/04/2012 15:26

Happy Easter Sunday to you all Smile.

Blimey Ollie, I can't believe you are on your third set of guests, I thought we were doing well after waving off our second set. We do a post visit analysis similar to the post party analysis that some of you do - it's all good fun.

Bloss, glad the holiday has gone well, no doubt you'll be stocking up on resources before you come back.

Verity, I'm sure there's a name for that addiction of yours...something like a bouclophile...

Fleecy · 08/04/2012 22:14

Happy Easter everyone!

Agree with pickled that you're a bit of a star hostess ollie - perhaps we could have a W&A meet-up at yours Grin

We had a family meal at a local restaurant today. I just had salad as I am on hardcore diet at the moment. Boring! But wore the bright pink C/E skinnies with a breton and navy cardi so that cheered me up. As did two large glasses of wine...

Popped in to a friend today - she had a little boy three weeks ago and I dropped round to meet him. So gorgeous Smile

I have ordered 6w6p today. Gulp. It had better work.

Fleecy · 08/04/2012 22:15

Ph yes and glad you enjoyed hols bloss
