Not very inspiring- think the tiredness is showing!

First home! My early start not conducive to a late night! Great time. See you in Dublin in October!

Emo76 · 18/03/2012 00:07

Fab meet up. Left some lovely ladies throwing moves and looking fwd to using my todo book from Ollie. Amber it was awesome you made it!

MarshaBrady · 18/03/2012 00:34

In a taxi home. Great to see so many lovely people, looking fab. Good stuff.

MidnightinMoscow · 18/03/2012 06:38

Sounds like a great night, cannot wait to hear about outfits and gossip and any shopping!

I gave DH the lay-in today, he did look shattered last night having ran about after DS all day yesterday.

Hope everyone has lovely Mother's days today. Thanks

Decameron · 18/03/2012 07:23

Hi Mim, how are you feeling?

Glad you had a good night last night and that you made it out, Amber. I met Pickled, Ollie, Red and Bloss for lunch, they are all fab and I see where Pickled's kids get their great hair from her. I'm very keen on the 50/50 boots after seeing how amazing Bloss and Red looked. I had no time for shopping and DD1 was very cross that Selfridges were out of stock of her favourite Goldfish crackers so booking a babysitter for Tues and heading off. Not just for the crackers!

Dauphin, thanks, I am not good with disturbed sleep. I see a tooth peeping through and DD slept until 6am, so that's good. DH said that a babysitter and cleaner falls under the mental health budget. He only had them for a few hours yesterday and said they were doing his head in (mostly as he couldn't watch rugby in peace)! That's a direct quote. :)

Decameron · 18/03/2012 07:23

I see THAT Pickled's kids get their great hair from her.

On train home now with a very slightly sore head Wink. Had a fantastic time last night (and over a leisurely- and large- breakfast this morning.) Will attempt to summarise slight blurry recollections of last night.....

Fantastic to meet for the first time my roomy Hopefully, who rocked the Me and Em dress, the Official Thread Wendy (OTW) Mominatrix who was an advert for leather leggings and I had a lovely chat with, and Vin/Entrophy who stunned us all with a surprise appearance in gorgeous colours. So pleased that Amber made it but glad she sat opposite to me so no direct comparison could be made between her amazing youthful bloom and my slightly more mature visage.

Honourable awards to Apuski for the best hangover- hope you are feeling better now (alrhough did not detract from elegance and beautiful sparkly necklace last night) and to Pickled for ensuring that she didn't have a hangover by getting rid of the toxins early..... Runners up in W and A Lush Awards are me for missing my mouth and pouring champagne straight down my front (haven't checked new top for stains yet), and Red for lovingly stroking Pickled's hair in the middle of the night in a case of mistaken identity.

Ollie looked amazing in a beautiful MV top, everything looked va va voom in a fitted navy dress, and Fritzi wore a beautiful silver glittery top- and we wore matching M and S patent heels! Emo def won the shoes award for me in the most amazing silver sparky heels, and Ants had gorgeous top with stars print on. Reine wore an amazing oversized sequined dress and in no way looked like Christian Slater. Bloss lived up to the description of the 'slinky' Whistles top she was wearing, and Red was also an ad for Whistles in a beautiful lace dress. Marsha looked hot in red Halston with amazing new Celine bag that was passed round and cooed over. Pickled looked great in lovely print blouse and skirt that was a tad too big due to weight loss.

At least half the party was seen dancing at various intervals during the evening, and obviously we all became MUCH better dancers as the evening wore on....

I had a ball, ladies. Heres to the next one.

Great summary NY it was a FAB evening. Lovely lovely lovely to see everyone. Am lying prone on the sofa and think a slow day is what is needed. Looking forward to mini meet in brighton and next big meet in Dublin!!!!

blossoming · 18/03/2012 12:43

Great summary ny! I had a great time too. Can i just add hiw incredible ny looked in her sjinnies and Asoa top. I have serious flat belly envy. Also desperate to get hold of some Chanel April. Really lovely on red's nails.
Currently in 1st class relaxing with my kindle, drinking tea and wearing my new Maxmara coat. Looks better on!
Disappointed the Chanel sunglasses looked crap on me and I'm doubting my dedication to the balenciaga bag. I'll keep saving, and see what I fancy in October when I will have saved loads.
Seems everyone has an iPad but me! Will get one for DH for his b'day. So glad I'm back at work earning money so I can treat him.

blossoming · 18/03/2012 12:45

So many typos, sorry! ants, you were on great form! Hope you're being waited on hand and foot!

IceCreamCastles · 18/03/2012 12:53

So glad you all had a good time. Sounds like everyone was on fine form.

I very much enjoyed a phone call at 1am from what sounded like 4 giggling school girls updating me on outfits etc. Certainly broke the monotony of feeding ds!

Hope all your heads aren't too sore.

So it's Dublin next? I'll start saving!

MidnightinMoscow · 18/03/2012 12:56

What a fantastic summary NY, sounds like you all had an amazing time.

Bloss I love April too, it's such a beautiful shade. Love the Maxmara coat, great colour.

I have to take my hat off to DH who has organised a lovely mothers day today on behalf of DS. We had breakfast out, and then took DS to the park. I was presented with a lovely card and a Jigsaw box, which contained this scarf, so proof that he does listen to me!!

pickledsiblings · 18/03/2012 13:29

NY, you have such a great way with words Grin.

Thanks to my lovely roomies for putting up with me Flowers.

Bloss, your post about treating DH to an iPad made me LoL.

Enjoying a pret salad before getting back on the train to meet up with DH and the DSs for mothers day cake Smile

What a fab MU! Great summary NY, was fab to meet you and everyone else. Especially enjoyed meeting Amber who is gorgeous Envy and didn't bore me at all.

MarshaBrady · 18/03/2012 14:14

Great summary NY. Bravo!

Fab MU. Really lovely to have new mu additions, Momin, who indeed does out-Wendy Wendy. Amber, Hopefully and Vin! All looking incredible.

And fab to see everyone again too. A good chat and lovely time.

Looking forward to Brighton and Dublin now!

OllieinOrange · 18/03/2012 16:20

At airport scoffing a lovely goats cheese and carmalised onion panini which is hitting the spot! Managed to get 2 hot wheels magazines as well so boys will be happy and have enough mini eggs to last me thro til Easter!

Am being v wise and waiting til after my style day before buying bag or watch, promise not to mention either til after then! Just couldnt make up my mind which usually means its best to wait and ponder some more.

Had a really wonderful weekend. Loved meeting Decameron for lunch who is fab,she is such a natural beauty and long of limbed, v envious. Missed annie, icey, portia and mim but so enjoyed meeting amber, momamatrix (please change your name to w&a wendy?), hopefully and vin. Details of what we spoke about are all a bit fuzzy but im sure it was all good!

I ran to john lewis and brought a grey striped linen Nicole Fahri t shirt. Really like it. Also got (yesterday) the Top Shop boyfriend blazer in grey and a mint velvet blouse. Not a bad haul.

Gotta go to gate now.

AmberNectarine · 18/03/2012 16:44

Oh, I quite agree with the NY envy, she has a knockout figure, great hair and luminous good looks. I think she would have been quite safe sat next to me somehow!

Well, after being so pleased with how things went with the baby, like an utter moron I caught the wrong train, which bypassed my stop entirely and left me in deepest Surrey! Of course, DH then texted to say the baby had woken, wouldn't take the bottle and was screaming blue murder. However one breakneck, and bloody expensive, black cab ride later all was well!

Have had a lovely day today. Popped in to see my parents and crossed paths with eldest DB who I don't often see, then went out for a nice pub lunch with DH. Flowers and chocs were delivered, and DH gave me the very well thought out gift of some cash and told me to surprise myself with it! In fairness he had tried to stealthily get me some vouchers to my local dept store yesterday PM but it would have required going to customer service and I was waiting in the car with the DCs. He did discover that you can buy a gift card with £1m on it though. Needless to say he has not been quite that generous. Maybe for my birthday...?

Hope nobody is suffering too greatly today!

AmberNectarine · 18/03/2012 16:58

Also, I did a survey earlier and got a £25 voucher code for my wardrobe, which I spent on an American vintage top. Code is REWARDSURVEY25. Not sure if it will work for everyone, but I didn't have to log in to do the survey, so would assume so...

ReineDeSaba · 18/03/2012 17:04

Thanks for the great round up yummy

I had a complete ball, what a great bunch of beautiful, lovely ladies you all arejust really sorry I didn't get to have proper chats with everyone but next time for sure!Suprisingly feeling fine today(a mother's day gift from a higher power)despite a lot of fizzy being drunk..sorry for those who 'fell in the line of duty' hope you are feeling much perkier now.

Can't wait for the next 'minimeet'..am going to check hotel now as have broken the news to DH so can put the wheels in motion.

hope you've all had gorgeous mothers' days..you totally deserve it Grin

Russianred · 18/03/2012 19:09

Evening all; I'm absolutely exhausted! Had such a fantastic weekend - thank you to all of you for making it so. I really enjoyed being able to have lengthy conversations with (nearly) everyone. Was lovely to see people I'd not met before, although frustratingly, they were the ones I didn't get to talk to at any length. Next time, next time. I feel like I've had a complete sensory overload with all the beautiful ladies and their beautiful wardrobes. I had a complete blast with my roomies too, who all had a dose of my odd nocturnal behaviours! Sorry!

Thanks to Ollie and Hopefully, I am now coveting a navy Me&Em dress and have just mammoth-listed on EBay in order to fund it.

Intend on collapsing on the sofa and, in all probability, falling asleep within the hour.

blossoming · 18/03/2012 19:43

Hope you're feeling better red.

OllieinOrange · 18/03/2012 20:02

Home now - never ceases to amaze me how quickly the journey takes. Lovely welcome from DS1 and DH. House lovely and tidy too.

Annoyingly found 3 small stains on my MV silk top - any suggestions of how to wash it? Label says handwash in cool water but will that shift the stains?

Now going to read my stash of magazines brought at the airport. Had a 10 min power nap on the flight so feeling quite perky! Sure it wont last.
