Not very inspiring- think the tiredness is showing!

Breton, glad you had a good night. I am tempted to get white Goldsigns.

I had an awful night, DD2 is teething (finally). DH has taken the day off, we had so little sleep. It is terrible but I sometimes wish they were 8 and 5 and I was back in work. I don't find being a sahm great at the moment but I'm sure I'll change my tune, probably when I am sitting in a café later today. It doesn't help that there is no gym with a creche near (which saved me when DD1 was a baby!) and I know people to say hi to and maybe have the odd coffee but no close friends.

Zembo, we want to stay in SW London, where we are now, it is expensive (isn't everywhere?) but the school is excellent. DD1 goes to the nursery there now and should get a place in reception. Houses sell in a matter of days here due to the school. The best of luck with ttc.

Blue, I agree, Whistles does seem to be more expensive now.

Mominatrix, great dress. Are you from the US?

I think I'll go back to bed now, good night!

Morning everyone.

Decam - so sorry to hear of your dreadful night. We had something similar with dd when her first 2 teeth came through (the others didn't seem to cause as many problems) and it is awful. I remember turning the lights on in hewr bedroom after HOURS of walking up and down with her soothing her/calpol/singing softly and shouting saying loudly 'WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO??' to this angry 7 month old baby Blush. Of course, that just made her cry more loudly....

My ASOS order duly arrived yesterday. I am keeping two of the tops (although it was nearly three...):

This is going back - quite nice on but just a bit too busy with drapes and zip etc.

I am keeping this one though. The colour mixture makes it quite versatile and I think the cut suits me.

After much umming and ahhing this sequin top is going back. It is nice, and I would recommend to those slightly shorter than me. The proportions just didn't quite work on me. Interestingly it has now sold out in nearly all sizes (which it wasn't before...the W and A effect??) so if anyone is reading, a small (10) will be back in stock soon!

This is going back. Quite pretty but too short - and £80 for polyester is cheeky. Especially when the label on the top says it retails for £60!!

NY I really like that KM top you're keeping. Can I ask you a question as a Jillian expert? I did Ripped L1 last night and although it was hard because there were a few new exercises, it really didn't push me hat hard. Do you think I'd be better off carrying on L1 and adding in a circuit or two from L2, or moving straight on to L2? Or doing L1 with even bigger weigs (currently using 3kg and 2.5kg, with 2kg for a couple of new exercises) TBH I slightly feel I'm at the point where a 25 min work out isn't pushing me that hard, although it's obviously still bloody hard work! Am thinking an extra circuit and keeping the weights up might work me a bit harder?

Ooh, Aldo order has arrived! Off for a big shoe trying on session.

Hopefully · 16/03/2012 10:17

Oh, and Decam huge sympathies to you. Teething more or less broke me with DS1. DS2 doesn't seem as bothered by it so far, but only has four teeth in total.

notyummy · 16/03/2012 10:23

Hopefully - I did L1 Ripped earlier last week for the first time (because DH and I just skipped straight to Ls 3 and 4 Blush.) TBH, I think it is one of the easiest of any of JM circuits (more so than L1 of the Shred.) I would move to L2, which is definitely a step up (I did L1 and 2 back to back on Tuesday and could really notice the difficulty step up between them.) Perhaps you could try L2, and once you know the exercises, add a couple of circuits of L1 in as well to give you a really good workout without killing yourself (as L1 isn't too bad, but will probably feel challenging after you have done L2!)

Hope that makes sense!!

Thanks NY! I'll give L2 a try tonight. I kind of got the feeling that L1 was a proper introduction level for people who haven't exercised a lot, which is why there are four levels rather than 3.

MidnightinMoscow · 16/03/2012 11:17

Hello All.

Hope everyone is ok. Sympathies to Decam on such an awful night, do hope you get some rest today.

I had another sweep today, Midwife says I am on the 'cusp' of getting into established labour. We shall see how the weekend goes.

If I don't get back, hope you have a wonderful MU, and look forward to hearing all the goss and outfit details. Smile

OllieinOrange · 16/03/2012 12:44

Decam - hope you get some zzzzz's today. Nights like those are one of the lows of motherhood.
MiM on the cusp sounds sooo close!

Had a day of things not going to plan so far. Nothing big just irritations in the form of unexpected passport-related red tape, DS not wanting to visit local goat farm as planned (I was looking forward to seeing all the cute babies), getting told off in a garden centre for trying to take a short cut, a too chewy bagel which really upset DS2 and me trying on the oversized Alexa in tan (took detour from garden centre to one of the few outlets that sells Mulberry around here = avid) and realising just how much I dont like the colour of my Oushka bag and me now wondering whether I should buy an Alexa now and just wait for the Cape Cod. Just a usual Friday then.

Russianred · 16/03/2012 13:04

Oh Decam those kinds of nights are the worst. Hope you get some sleep today and can enjoy having DH at home with the three of you. Fingers crossed for a better night tonight.

Did you come away empty-handed Ollie?! Or would this be a purchase for tomorrow perhaps? Or, tax-free at the airport a la Decam?

MiM on the cusp is great news. Saw this jumper and thought of you.

You really need an Alexa ollie. Otherwise you're going to keep buying 'not right alikies' for the next five years!!

Hopefully · 16/03/2012 13:18

MIM sounds promising! Fingers crossed.

Ollie what a tiresome day. You clearly need an Alexa to make your life better Wink

Oushka Dover arrived today, and am not sure tbh. Unlike Ollie I do like the colour, but am unsure about skinny shoulder strap and shiny gold hardwear. It's definitely not a roxy moment, but I like it more than other bags i've seen recently. But £145 for 'it's ok' seems silly.

Aldo order here too, think I'll only keep the sneakers, but will try properly later.

OllieinOrange · 16/03/2012 13:19
Blush
blossoming · 16/03/2012 13:28

Woo hoo!!!!!

Decameron · 16/03/2012 13:45

Ollie, it's a great bag. You can always ebay your Oushka.

Speaking of bags, what do you think of this Coach bag? Instead of this.

Thanks for the sympathies. Poor DD2 is getting four teeth at once. She is ok form now though and is on a cocktail of Calpol, Calgel and that white homeopathic teething powder (we call it baby coke). DH thinks we need to get a cleaning lady again and a babysitter more so I agreed!

I thought SamCam looked fine too. And I like KM's coral jeans but yes, a bit air hostessy. I think she is a summer, like I've decided I am!

I like that top a lot, NY.

Good luck MiM!

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow too, Bloss and others. :)

Russianred · 16/03/2012 13:48

Ollie would they take the Oushka back after the crap handle fiasco? MIT be worth a shot. You won't ever, ever regret having an Alexa.

Good news on the domestic outsourcing, Decam. That is also our nickname for teething powders; poor little DD, the first ones are always so horrible for them.

blossoming · 16/03/2012 13:51

Yes, good luck mim!!

decam, it's surprising how a day at home with dcs can lead to DH's changing their minds about certain things!

Portia4 · 16/03/2012 13:56

Decam I do hope that you managed to get a nap in today and enjoy some time with DH and DDs. I remember when we lived in London feeling that sometimes it could be quite a lonely place when I was stuck at home with two little ones Smile

Mim Hopefully you will have some action today.

Today I am feeling totally paranoid, yesterday I went into the warehouse building at work alone, to go to the loo, whilst perched on the throne I thought I heard someone upstairs, I ran out, shouted up and a man came down the stairs, I told him that I was calling the police then I heard someone else upstairs, my heart was in my mouth! I shouted up again but no one came down, he suggested that I go and check, I sent him up and and he came down with an eleven or twelve year old child and I told them to get out and they ran off! Sorry am rambling now, but I am totally paranoid about everyone today Sad!

I am suffering from MU envy, and hope that you all are enjoying the perparation!

IceCreamCastles · 16/03/2012 13:56

Just checking in to let you know that the Icey family are doing well. S lost quite a bit of his birthweight initially but has put on 4oz in 2 days thanks to some all night feeding sessions .

I'm feeling much better- dh and dd being v good and I'm resting properly.

Will try to catch up properly during tonight's feeding frenzy.

Glad you like the photos- sorry to those who can't see them- will update my 'mates' list when I get on laptop

Emo76 · 16/03/2012 13:56

decam great news re cleaner and babysitter, really pleased for you. Hope DD2 is feeling OK, teething really sucks.

ollie I love my Alexa but that watch really is a lifetime piece. Not wishing to throw spanner in works...!

can't really keep up with thread, looking fwd to tomorrow!

VerityBrulee · 16/03/2012 14:01

Ollie v exciting about the Alexa! Get it, ebay the Oushka and watch for birthday/christmas Smile

Decam sorry to hear about your bad night, but yay to the indirect result of more help. Every cloud.....

Bloss hows the head?

So Envy of those going to meet up, can't wait to hear about the outfits!

VerityBrulee · 16/03/2012 14:03
