Red, we could wear identical outfits and we would still look completely different. My shirt would look fab on you Smile. Off to hairdressers now, back later.

MidnightinMoscow · 15/03/2012 13:31

Hello.

Quick question, which probably sounds insane given I look like a whale.

Topshop Jamies - do they come up true to size/small?

I know you'll all understand!

VerityBrulee · 15/03/2012 13:39

Thanks Slay Smile These are the skinnies. I am a pear and hate buying jeans but find the Oasis cherry a great fit and not too £££.

Annie it's a great buy for the price I think, esp in sterling Wink

Decam I missed that you are buying! how exciting, will miss you in D4 though!

Portia it is cold here, temperature always drops for St Patricks Day Hmm

VerityBrulee · 15/03/2012 13:40

Reine I wish you were my dentist Smile

Mim how are you doing?

Dauphin · 15/03/2012 13:44

Hello.

Have been for a run (it's addictive), and feel like I have soooo much energy!

Then went a shopping and tried on a lovely white broderie dress, which would be fab for hols....but weather uninspiring. Think I will have to get though as will probably sell out, and I shall be kicking myself.

DD better, Dad better, and DH back (phew!!!). And good parents evening for little ones....Smile

Shame about the Marni stuff mrscb...

Decameron · 15/03/2012 13:46

Verity, your red jacket is lovely. That bag didn't sell. I was very tempted but I need the bigger size. I still have hopes that we will be neighbours in the future! I do need to go back to work and don't think there would be much for me in Ireland, maybe in a few years.

Slay no idea how she got it and DD1 doesn't have it! Odd. I have red J Brands, I like them.

Decameron · 15/03/2012 13:47

Dauphin, the dress sounds beautiful, get it! Glad the patients have recovered.

VerityBrulee · 15/03/2012 13:59

Dec you were right, I had a look at it in BTs and it's too small. Have fun house hunting!

Daupin glad everyone is on the mend. I love the sound of the dress!

Ok, an afternoon of ballet lessons awaits, have lovely afternoons everyone

Bonsoir · 15/03/2012 14:08

I'm very sorry to read about your Marni disappointment, MrsCampbellBlack. TBH, since I am a loyal Marni addict customer, I probably had a head start in guessing what styles would suit me. RussianRed - Marni is not meant to be figure-hugging - if the top seems big, belt it or put a cardigan over it. I've got the grey/white striped cardigan on today and the shoulders are a perfect fit for me in a 40; I have it zipped in the middle only, just under the bust, with the bottom and top undone, so that it holds in the zizzag dress underneath (which is not designed to be worn on its own IMO).

The one item I really could have sized down in are the brocade trousers, which are too big in the waist/bottom.

OllieinOrange · 15/03/2012 14:41

Rain? There will be rain on Saturday? Nooooooooo.

This means

  • Waterproofing new boots, which I should do anyway but even still;
  • Finding smallest umbrella possible for bag and/or knocking into Oxford Street shoppers;
  • Mentally preparing for a bad hair day.

Arse.

Russianred · 15/03/2012 14:42

Have fiddled with the top and am very happy with the sizing Bonsoir. Have worked out how to do up the sandals Blush and they are staying too. And the necklace. Have bunged the hat on EBay as they still seem to be selling quite well and H&M returns can be a right old faff. Glad your sandals worked Amber.

I also have my MU outfits sorted. I was meant to be preparing dinner for tonight. Nevermind.

You do have a lovely wardrobe Verity, very much like the new additions.

Go get the dress Dauphin - so hard to get the right borderline dress, despite there always been quite a few around, iykwim.

Russianred · 15/03/2012 14:43

Borderline=Broderie

I'm ignoring the rain Ollie, it doesn't work with my outfit!

Slaymill · 15/03/2012 14:46

Thank You for the Red Jeans linkVerity and advice Decameron the red ones will bring my jeans total to 3 this month Shock

Glad everyone is better Dauphin I do like a LWD, especially a broderie one.

Red glad you got pm must be a mumsnet glitch about reply.

Amber the sandals sound like a great buy it`s wonderful when something lives up to your expectations.

Reine hope everything calms down soon and DD2 gets better quickly.

Dauphin · 15/03/2012 14:46

Oh my God, I ordered my Mother and MIL gifts from here for mothers day and it is all so gorgeous....I am inspired by the fabrics... Also ordered the dark white eggshell for more painting opportunities...and v nice.

Decam - I missed that you are house hunting....exciting....I am completely absorbed by house related things at the moment. DH has asked me to 'source' all items for new house (like I haven't already), but then he mentioned sockets and stuff for costings.....

Enjoy the ballet, Verity!

Have made Dauphinoise (geddit) pots for Monsieur with lamb chops and veggies....his fave.

Off for school run...catch up later...

Portia4 · 15/03/2012 14:46

I am so envious of all of the MU talk, I really enjoyed putting faces to names at the last two. Verity and Rufus we really should get our gunas on and have a mini MU in Dublin!

OllieinOrange · 15/03/2012 14:53

Dauphin glad DF is better and DH is home.

MrsCB what a shame about the Marni stuff. Wonder who the next H&M collaboration will be with? Anyone know?
Marsha after I have stroked and oooh'edd at your SM dress on Saturday, I will be joining you and Fritzi in interrogation corner Smile
Decameron can we play at being Phil and Kirsty and help find you the perfect new home?
Verity thats a lovely jacket.

Oh yes, the To Do notebooks. Those of you who wanted one (dont have list to hand), the one I originally linked too which had a sections called To Do, Notes and Shopping on each double page have disappeared from website and shops - looked in several stores over the last couple of weeks. Think they are using up the old stock of these here which have a plain white cover and one page says Notes and one says To Do with the all important tick boxes. Are you still happy with this version? My local store has lots so no trouble to get them tomorrow - just need a yes or a no?

Decameron · 15/03/2012 15:12

Ollie, could you please get me a notebook? I'll reimburse you on Sat.

My friend was on Location a few years ago, actually. There isn't much on the market in this area in our price range (which is quite modest, sadly!) at the moment so going to keep an eye out. No rush as we have to rent here until DD1 gets a place in the local school.

Very pretty things on that website, Dauphin. Dh asked me this morning if I'd bought his mother a card for Sunday and then why not. Because she's not my mother! The cheek of him. Presumably I won't be getting anything either. :o

Glad most of your Marni buys worked out, Red.

OllieinOrange · 15/03/2012 15:51

Oh, I like the shade of Kate's coral jeans here

J Brands?

Emo76 · 15/03/2012 15:54

Emo76 · 15/03/2012 16:04

GeorginaWorsley · 15/03/2012 17:05
