Not very inspiring- think the tiredness is showing!

You are so lucky to get Olympic tickets Notyummy. Should be a wonderful atmosphere. Your news of your 'little distraction', shall we say, yesterday, cheered me up!

Dauphin · 14/03/2012 10:02

Hi Looby...hope you get some time for a good rest/potter this weekend. Any idea what you are having next? Bet the DCs are excited....

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 10:03

Lovely tops NY

I love Matches. I like their selection. It always seems lighter and more colourful than anywhere else. But last time they did a big sell on a Céline bag saying it was the last left in all the stores. And I should buy it today. I'm SO glad I didn't as I wasn't sure and it would have been a hefty exchange note.

Then of course nothing is ever the last in the world. I walked to Selfridges looked at the Céline bags and there were drawers full of them!

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 10:05

Looby this sounds a bit trite. But you do so well to do the work you do and your family too. I hope your break is great this weekend.

Dauphin · 14/03/2012 10:05

Nice tops notyummy.

FritziGreenEyes · 14/03/2012 10:11

ollie The Marni zigzag is all wrong for you colourwise. Colour experts correct me if I'm wrong.

At the hairdresser's after emailing piece of work two days before deadline Having lovely cappuccino and now one of my teeth hurts. Hope it's only sensitivity due to stress-induced teeth-gnashing last night

Decameron your DD is so sweet! We have that toy too, DS1 is always making it play for DS2.

Have just written shopping list for Jillian-inspired health kick. It's going to be about four time the price of our usual food bill, and if it really constitutes a balanced diet it's no wonder I've not been feeling on top form! It's literally triple the amount of meat/fish/nuts/expensive food that we would normally eat. Suppose I'll save money on bread/cereal/treats though Hmm. Can see us eating a lot of eggs and oatmeal!

Hopefully · 14/03/2012 10:32

Looby you patently do an amazing job looking after three DCs all by yourself so much, hope you enjoy your free time this weekend Smile.

notyummy · 14/03/2012 10:57

Not sure if anyone has been following the Storyville documentary series on BBC 2 and BBC 4. Las week was 'Murderball' about the development of wheelchair rugby and the story of the people who play - was fantastic. I am now watching 'The English Surgeon' which is the story of a an English brain surgeon who travels across the world to operate for free in developing countries. Put it on in the background whilst I did emails but I think will turn off and watch properly. Absolutely inspirational man who has utterly changed people's lives, but some of the stories are heartbreaking.

Would highly recommend the series. Well filmed true stories that aren't sensational and show you other's lives in a fascinating way.

Ah- your dd is gorgeous Decameron- she looks a lot like you!

That sounds v hard work looby- take care of yourself.

Love the meetup outfit panic discussion.

Came home last night- feel so much better here. Had a massive cry before leaving hospital worrying that things would never get back to normal and I'd ruined dd's life Blush probably slightly over dramatic Blush but feel much more positive today.

Glad your dd and dad are feeling better dauphin- and your dd bloss. Can only imagine how worrying that must have been for you.

notyummy · 14/03/2012 11:09

Icey - your hormones will be all over the place right now. I am soooooo not the weepy type (DH cries a lot more than me and thinks I am heartless) however I cried on and off for two days between about day 4 and 6 after DD was born. I knew when I was doing it that it was slightly bonkers and hormonal, but couldn't stop! (Example, watching wildlife documentary whilst bf: 'The baby lions, they are just so....so......so INNOCENT.' . DH was at a loss because he has never had an easily moved wife before Grin)

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 14/03/2012 11:21

icey I did just that. I had ruined DS's life and he would never love me in the same way again. Needless to say he adores his little sister and is clambering all over me right now. It's hormones and totally normal. I think I was worse second time round. That and the sleepless months are big factors in why DH doesn't want a third, he gets so alarmed when his normally pretty hard faced wife goes into hormonal meltdown!

looby adding to what the others have said, you are doing a brilliant job. I bitch and moan about two, but three, pregnant and no weekend support? You deserve to be on the new year honours list for services to parenting!

Slaymill · 14/03/2012 11:24

Thank you Dauphin best wishes for your father & thank you Apuski for your regards.

Good work Hopefully I understand the call of Ben&Jerry`s Chunky Monkey for me!.

Decameron that vile woman perhaps next time she in the doctors she can get her mouth sewn up to stop her spouting bile.

Grin love your comment Amber not a MFP portion size opinion.

Re bag I think its going to be " Team Gracie" and Mulberry I do want to get a Mulberry because ,DP promised me ages ago so its fufilling a prior wish.

Hope you don`t have any dips today bloss

Great MU outfit Ollie ,:) at your MU nightmare Fritzi

Like that KM top NY you might have to borrow Amber`s DD stick to fend the male attention off.

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 11:26

It's all so delicate and lovely and teary after having a little baby. Entirely natural I'd say! I'm glad you're feeling brighter Icey.

The Lanvins have arrived and of course I love them! The colour is perfect. My favourite, citrus. A bit like the dvf.

I think I may have acquired another expensive habit!

Slaymill · 14/03/2012 11:30

Red have sent you pm

Slaymill · 14/03/2012 11:37

Sound gorgeous Marsha glad your not disappointed.

I could hardly speak I was so exhausted in the early days Icey it takes time to adjust. Glad you feel more postive :).

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 11:39

Thanks Slaymill, I'm not sure if you have been invited to join us this Saturday but you are very welcome of course!

Slaymill · 14/03/2012 12:10

Thank you Marsha hopefully the next one as Inlaws are away this weekend and my DP is in Sweden for another two weeks.

blossoming · 14/03/2012 12:39

Hi lovely ladies.
I popped home in between college classes. It is glorious. I grabbed the bike... 8 miles later I am a mess, wobbly legs, hair needs attention and 18 miles to drive with roadworks before 1.30. And I'm MNing and watching Loose Women. Oops.

pickledsiblings · 14/03/2012 13:07

bloss, cutting it a bit fine there - hope you make it on time.

Decam, thanks for sharing that lovely photo of DD2, what a sweetie. You've inspired me to upload some of my brood.

Marsha, will we get to see your lovely shoes at the w/e?

Icey, so lovely to hear that you are home. DD still loves me to tell her what life was like before DS1 came along Smile. Any chance of a photo on here or am I going to have to join Facebook?

Russianred · 14/03/2012 13:10

NY that's a lovely range of tops - can see all of them looking great on you. Did you have a code when purchasing; am about to make an ASOS order and will always welcome a discount! I also think you should stay in London so as to be sure you enjoy everything fully, without the hassle of travel. Have you friends you could stay with?

Bloss you must feel a little exhilarated after that; imagine you'll be on great teaching form with all those endorphins racing around.

Thank you for your pm Slay. Very helpful indeed.

So glad you love your shoes Marsha! Will we be seeing them on Saturday or are they more for daywear?

So glad you're back at home Icey. Think you'd be abnormal not to have those weepy sessions! How's DD enjoying her new brother?

Looby I can only confirm that you are doing wonderfully with all that you have going on! Enjoy Saturday morning.

Isn't is so sad about that coach crash in Switzerland? Sad

Did you see that Amber and Hopefully both got quoted on the MN Swears By email - about the NL boots! Made me smile.

Icey glad you and S are now home. Can only agree with what the others have said - perfectly natural to feel wobbly. Sure DD is loving having an older brother. I really think that after just a few days, kids of her age soon forget what it was like to be an only child - and to them, it feels like they have had a younger sibling forever.
Slay shame about the MU but hope you can make the next one?
Marsha great about your Lanvins.

Well - interesting last minute dash seeking the perfect MU outfit, cant blame a girl for trying, trip to the shops.

I brought some gorgeous coral pumps from NL - the perfect shade of orange/red and they seem incredibly comfy. Can't really wear coral close to my face so pleased I can introduce a pop of colour on my feet!

I also tried a boucle jacket on in Zara - ecru colour with a grey weave. I really liked it with my new jeans and a simple cream blouse underneath. Shop assistant had the jacket on with a cream and grey striped t shirt underneath which prompted me to try it on - wouldn't have done otherwise. If I dont go mad in London spending wise, I may get it. But sitting here and typing that makes me wonder if I should have got it to wear with coated skinnies for Sat evening...? Crap.
