Not very inspiring- think the tiredness is showing!

Ollie - I've had to turn r4 off as just can't bear to listen to the news - just so awful.

Bloss scarf

Ollie - go back and get the jacket. I didn't think you were overly enamoured of janice any more?

MeTheMog · 14/03/2012 14:53

Breaking cover very briefly to thank RussianRed for her excellent, if un A & W like advice re the rude woman in the waiting room.
Did cheer me briefly on such a bad news day - I live in Belgium and am breaking my heart over the tragic news. So glad my DS has done his classe de neige/de mer/verte. It is a great tradition we have but will inevitably raise safety concerns again.

Emo76 · 14/03/2012 15:07

oh pickles look at the three of them - beautiful happy looking children!

decameron HOW rude. Dd2 has one, it's so cute, fading now though at 18m!

have a headache. bored of meetings. lace skirt and white shirt combo getting another airing. that's as exciting as today gets here!

blossoming · 14/03/2012 15:14

Really dreadful news methemog. I have friends in Belgium, dcs nearing that age. So worrying.
Have done many school trips in coaches across Europe. Really really awful.

And back at the school gate for pick up! Were you doubting me pickled?!
I am having red dragon sausages for tea. My butcher has won best butcher in the country this year and his sausages are worth doing loads of cardio for!

Classic what are you again fle?
They're not to my style, but would suit a vintage type.

So glad the profile photos are still up. Adorable dd2 decam, and your children are gorgeous pickled.

blossoming · 14/03/2012 16:18

Yikes, forgot again to add Welcome Home Icey!! Have loved the hormonal stories though sorry Blush

Hopefully · 14/03/2012 16:31

She's a classic gamine, Bloss.

Also loving the hormonal stories. I don't remember exactly what i cried about in the days after giving birth, but I do remember a lot of random sobbing. DH v alarmed as I am a hard nosed cow normally Grin

Wearing pure collection ivory silk shirt, khaki Agnes, Aldo dicker-alike boots, brown scarf and leather wrap bracelet. two compliments on it so far!

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 17:09

Slay be fab to see you at the next one.

Ollie yes do get it, sounds really nice.

Pickled and Decam what gorgeous pictures of your children! Your dd is so sweet Decam and yours are gorgeous Pickled, great hair also.

Thanks re good feeling about Lanvins. I won't wear them on Saturday as I really need to wear the Marant heels. They are crying out to be worn and of course I love any excuse to be taller.

I just had a Blush conversation (a nice one). Wish I could say what but I best not just in case. Dammit!

Slaymill · 14/03/2012 17:24

Thanks Marsha and Ollie Ill look forward to it though Ill probably suffer
PMT.. Pre Meet-UpTension.

I agree about the Zara better to buy than miss out . Though Zara can be snooty when you take things back. It makes me smile all the more.

Ohhh intriguing conversation Marsha Wink

mmm sausages sound lovely, I get the debbie & andrew gluten free ones.

I agree with bloss about the shoes fle suit tea dresses etc..

I think the Gracie is timeless I think of myself as a Discerning Classic.
( not been to HOC style day just my feeling which is bound to be wrong now)

Slaymill · 14/03/2012 17:25

BTW great outfit hopefully

blossoming · 14/03/2012 17:51

This will be my last ever post about sausages. Just worked out each one was 300kcals. T'rrific.

notyummy · 14/03/2012 18:22

Agree with Bloss on those shoes FLE - i.e I can't see myself in them, but can see you (def more gamine than me) wearing them. I assume with flippy skirts and little dresses. Def not trousers. I am still not sure on my style. Athletic/beachy/dramatic with a touch of WAG probably covers it. Lets face it, I did admit to Elle Macpherson being the nearest I could find to my 'look' (not actually face/body, I hasten to add....just the rough 'idea'.) Although on the rare occasions I do the school run I am more likely to be found in sports wear than any of her early morning creations Grin.

Had a little pre-MU trying on today. Tricky. Have one dress that is a def contender. Also two pairs of waxed jeans (one is shinier than the others, and one is relatively high waisted so I worry that I look like a wider, older Olivia Newton John on the bottom half, as they are VERY tight. But oddly flattering....) I may ask the opinions of MU room mates. It may all come down to whether I like the tops I have ordered from ASOS - oh Red I am afraid I didn't have a code. I didn't even look - was just seized with the urge Blush.

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 18:39

I'm not sure if I can bear slogging my big bag on Saturday. I may need an emergency small one, a clutch even!

I am clueless, anyone prefer one of these more than the others?

Raoul gold.

Marc Jacobs oversized.

M by MJ bright odd shape, would it work?

Chloé envelope.

Love these pre-MU try ons, wish I could go in and try that Carven dress beforehand.

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 18:40

FLE I agree I can see you in those shoes with a skirt /dress.

blossoming · 14/03/2012 18:44

marsha you had a neon belt didn't you at the first MU? I think the M by MJ would be a good reference to that. Otherwise the gold one. The others are way too dull for you I think.
ny, natural dramatic!! Like hopefully I think. Should be fun in your room!

blossoming · 14/03/2012 18:47

I have nothing to wear.
Also DH will be home from London later, the kitchen is in a mess, I have 2 sets of marking to do, need to shred/6w6p thanks to dear mother leaving a big bag of smarties here...
So when will I have time to do a try on session?????
PM(U)T indeed slay

AmberNectarine · 14/03/2012 19:03

Oh god, I just can't miss this can I? And as red so rightly pointed out I have my virgin Anglomania begging for an outing...

OllieinOrange · 14/03/2012 19:07

You see, I know it doesnt matter what we wear as its more about the lovely company etc etc etc but we still get ourselves in a fashion tizz over MUs! Yes Slay PMUT sums it up perfectly!

I may have to , Im now leaning towards coated skinnies. I despair!
MrsCB Janice and I are friends again now that I have started to loose a bit of weight around tummy Smile

Fritzi your post about DHs reaction to the suggestion of having a daytime outfit made me snort with laughter (but your dream MU outfit made me do this Confused

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 19:11

Thanks Bloss! Yes between those two I think. Need to order tonight. Hopefully will be like Lanvins and here by Friday.

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2012 19:16

Amber yes do!

Ollie it's funny I only realise that I am actually going to be there and wearing something two days before. The rest is lala post post MU post. And then, it's here Grin

Oh FLE that did make me laugh. DS did similar when I had an emergency toilet situation in Boots at 38wks. Mortifying. I do like the shoes. DS has a birthmark that looks very bruise-like on his forehead and I am often reminded of it by strangers. He now looks very earnestly at people to inform them it is a birthmark and they get very flustered!

Marsha I am having precisely the same panic re. bags. I lent my one and only clutch/evening bag to my friend a while ago and have only just realised that I never got it back. I may have to go NY style Wink!

Jacket sounds lovely Ollie, I think you may need to pop back and get it!

Pickled am amazed by the variety of hair tone/texture your DC sport! They are a gorgeous trio.

Yes to PMUT. I have a confession to make; I ironed my pyjamas in preparation (and I never iron).

Amber it would be lovely to have you there. You can always jump in a cab if things get really bad.

Not to worry NY, have gone ahead and ordered the shirt, hoping a little it is here by Friday...

What are your options Bloss?

My Marni order is still not here! I am foot-stamping a-plenty.

Russianred · 14/03/2012 19:42

Goodness, could I have put any more exclamation marks in that post.
