Wise words from annie as ever!

Speaking of wise I need to pick the collective brain for some advice about vitamins. Have been very neglectful of my health since DD was born and am now at a point where I feel consistently rubbish; tired, loads of headaches, pick up every bug going etc. So think I should be taking a multivitamin at the least, what do you ladies recommend? Thanks in advance!

Anyone still looking for a leather mini? Lots of Odabash swimwear and Marni on the Outnet today!

ApuskiMcClusky · 12/03/2012 11:18

Congratulations Icey and family! Wonderful news!

Amber, I guess the first thing to think about re multivitamins is whether you need iron or not. I just take Sanatogen with iron in, plus an omega 3 supplement.

I can't find that DVF dress anywhere in my size online - I will see whether they have it in Selfridges on Saturday, otherwise it just wasn't meant to be!

I hadn't realised about Mother day either - not that we make a big deal out of it. Might need to head home fairly promptly on Sunday though.

Decameron, thinking of you today x

Hopefully · 12/03/2012 11:27

Congratulations Icey! Great news, hope you're recovering well and getting plenty of rest.

blossoming · 12/03/2012 11:28

Wonderful news icey. Lovely baby boy! Enjoy this special time.

Thinking of you decameron at this difficult time. Hope your happy memories help to get you through.

Hi to everyone else. Crossing Comptoir off my list of shopping destinations now too!

Zembo · 12/03/2012 11:37

Congratulations Icey & family what wonderful news to login to Smile

Decameron thinking of you too, I hope my children remember me in the same way you remember your mum, she sounds wonderful, from the snippets you've shared with us.

Blue hope you're feeling okay? If you ever fancy a little trip out, you'd be very welcome to bring both your DC over to mine for a cuppa & a chat, I'm not too far away.

Comptoir changing rooms are rubbish but the staff in the Nottingham branch pretty much leave me to it. Hoping to go in to try this on later in the week.

Dauphin · 12/03/2012 11:39

Congratulations Icey!! Woo Hoo.....!

OllieinOrange · 12/03/2012 11:42

Decameron anniversaries are always tough and things like washing machine incidents would have sent me over the edge. No shame in shedding tears. (my machine hates me - it occasionally stains clothes with these dark grey marks which dont come off and of course, its always my clothes it does it too!) Big hugs to you x

Hugs to you too Breton. Sounds like an emotional weekend.

Just had a facial and had my eyebrows and lashes tinted (anyone would think there is a MU coming up). Know it will settle down in a few days but god I look scary!

I know its beyond shallow but was thrilled this morning when one of the stylish school Mums admired my new boots Smile.

Zembo · 12/03/2012 11:43

Decameron I was in New York for my 30th too, dining at the restaurant at the top of the World Trade Centre, a couple of months before 9/11.

Amber what's your diet like? I'm rubbish on supplements, if I'm feeling run down I try to focus on changing my diet to increase fruit/veg etc.

MidnightinMoscow · 12/03/2012 11:45

Fantastic news Icey, congratulations to you all. A gorgeous little boy.

Wonderful, wonderful news.

. Hopefully it will be ours. Grin

Ollie fab on the compliment. I really need flatter ankle boots or just get on with ordering the Lanvin.

Every time I'm about to order them I think hang so much £ for ballet flats and I also think which colour?? And I stall.

I want to get the bright ones but I am wearing Current Elliot yellow skinnies today and feel bright chartreuse may tip me further over the edge towards scooby doo / muppets territory or something.

Breton big hug to you too, you are welcome to come on Saturday for a break from it all, or perhaps it's not what you feel like doing. But do come if it would be a nice thing to do.

Emo76 · 12/03/2012 12:09

huge congrats icey - so exciting! glad you got a nights rest, well done baby boy Icey

olly did you go for a scouse brow Grin

wearing my me& em navy dress to work today and someone asked if I had lost weight - RESULT! (have not.)

AmberNectarine · 12/03/2012 12:17

Have no idea what I'll do for my 30th, knowing my luck I'll be pregnant or breastfeeding like I have been for my last three birthdays. I was laying a bit of groundwork with DH yesterday regarding the very expensive handbag he'll be springing for!

zembo my diet is pretty dreadful. I do eat a lot of fruit and a fair bit of veg but minimal meat and dairy and a LOT of refined carby crap like bread and cake. I tend to look for cheap energy in all the wrong places. Must be better about this.

I almost certainly need to address the iron situation as have been anaemic through both pregnancies and beyond. Finally got my levels up above the danger zone a couple of months ago but suspect they have slipped back!

annie thinking about it I still have a load of pregnacare knocking about so think I'll take that, and get back on the Spatone. Thanks everyone!

AmberNectarine · 12/03/2012 12:19

Oh meant to say yesterday to mominatrix that yes the windmill is pretty good, has a little museum and a tea room attached. My DS loves it! Are you local?

FritziGreenEyes · 12/03/2012 12:23
MarshaBrady · 12/03/2012 12:26

Same as Fritzi but more about my eyebrows not being done. And not doing Saturday no way!

Mominatrix · 12/03/2012 12:26

Congratulations on the baby boy Icey. Fabulous news, and hope the recovery is speedy with everyone happy.

I don't take supplements just due to the fact that I cannot stand the taste, but there is no harm in taking them. If you feel run down - focus on iron, zinc and B hits (as well as sleep!). I get around this by forcing myself to eat liver twice in a menstrual cycle. Bleurgh!

Beautiful sunny day today! With weather like this, I can't stop smiling. I am wearing my new mint green cotton jumper from Zara over a white button down shirt (with french cuffs undone and untucked), pink skinnies, lime green stilettos (from 14 years ago, believe it or not), and a green, aqua, grey scarf. Happy colours for a happy day.

Mominatrix · 12/03/2012 12:27

I menat B vits, not B hits! I am a rubbish typer!

CHOOGIRL · 12/03/2012 12:39

Another W&A baby - how exciting. Congratulations Icey

ApuskiMcClusky · 12/03/2012 13:06

Ha ha Marsha and Fritzi - I've just been trying to find a local place for eyebrow threading after seeing Ollie's post! I am definitely not doing it on Saturday after last time!
