Not very inspiring- think the tiredness is showing!

annie You and your DDs would be a fab advert for Gap colored skinnies. I bet the three of you look gorgeous Smile.

Hope icey is cuddling her newborn, and mim soon!

Think I want a lounging outfit and a Hermes handbag now.

FLE What did you do on your childfree day?

portia Think Iro blazer and trousers would look fab on you. But length of trousers probably an issue.

bloss Oh you poor thing, that sounds horrible. Hope you got some time to recuperate before work starts again tomorrow.

hopefully Great shoe haul. I'm not that keen on the high tops but can't really say why. Best to ignore my comment if you really love them.

AmberNectarine · 11/03/2012 17:28

You'll all be pleased to hear I have managed to fashion myself a rudimentary lounging outfit from my Splendid hoodie and maternity yoga pants. Doubtless not as glamourous as Portia but it's keeping me cosy post bath.

OllieinOrange · 11/03/2012 18:23

Oh dear, birthday celebration at the neighbours house which started at 4pm turned into a bit of a 'do' with lots of wine and huge bowls of pasta. DSs and all the other kids kept busy with wii and lego. DH and I feel quite, how shall I put this, sloshed! How did that happen? Had a great time tho and enjoyed wearing new bf jeans, new boots and blazer combo. Time for a sobering cup of teai think!

OllieinOrange · 11/03/2012 18:25

I meant tea. God Im a lightweight.

Oh thank you Marsha (That wasn't a veiled hint btw, was a bit Blush that you may have thought it was)!

Annie they are fab jeans - I've already got lots of wear out of them; with a white tee and nude patent mid-heels when it was quite warm and with an oversized cream Gap jumper (think you may have it actually) and tan riding boots when a little cooler. Your DDs will be extra-cute in theirs!

Bloss did you get them to bed at 6? I put ours down at 5.45 on Friday as they were both completely exhausted, as was I. DH got home at 6 and was outraged!

Ollie am betting you'll be snoozing on the sofa come 8pm Wink.

Good point about the carrier FLE - I have a stretchy one sitting here unused which I'm more than happy to send on to you Blue.

Changing rooms sounds ridiculous FLE, I would have been inclined to rant too.

Hopefully · 11/03/2012 18:43

Grin at Ollie. I will be the one rolling on the floor after one glass of wine at MU, don't worry. I am a seriously cheap date. On the plus side, less money on booze = more money on clothes!

NYE we must have practically walked past you - we were wandering round town and to the cathedral and back this afternoon just around evensong time. I too get scared in the silly fitting rooms in Jigsaw, especially a couple of years ago when trying on a maxi dress that required me to go braless. Imagine being 5'10" and needing to use the fitting rooms.

Amber I think we are all suddenly aspiring to lounging outfits!

Fritzi I am hoping I do love the high tops, as they would solve so many casual shoe dilemmas for me. So I shall stick my fingers in my ears regarding your opinion Grin

I really hope DH hears about this job tomorrow and we can make A Plan.

ApuskiMcClusky · 11/03/2012 18:53

Ollie, the impromptu party sounds great - I'm very envious of your neighbourhood vibe, though it sounds like you have always made a real effort, so isn't by chance! We're starting to get a bit of 'just dropping in' with one set of neighbours, helped by ds1 and their sin being the same age and very likely to be in the same reception class - and I really like it, makes me feel more at home to gave more informal spontaneous socialising going on.

Bloss, I'm really glad to hear that dd has picked up now, but very sorry to hear about your night of worry. Hope you get an early night!

Everything, I hear you re jigsaw changing rooms - thinking about it, the one I was in yesterday had much higher doors - maybe they're slowly revamping!

The problem with clicking on links here sometimes is that I then get sidetracked into browsing - so when looking at Marshas dress earlier, I then came across this which caught my eye. I suspect I may gave plans to spend my Selfridges vouchers ten times over on Saturday!

ApuskiMcClusky · 11/03/2012 18:56

Gah, typos, neighbours have a son obviously...And I have become incapable of typing 'have' it would seem.

blossoming · 11/03/2012 19:03

I have always had issues with stupid Jigsaw changing rooms. What about the ones in the Knightsbridge branch, the really public ones WITH NO MIRRORS!! So you have to come out onto the busy shop floor... Many a time they've lost a sale with me when I've realised the only changing room with a mirror is occupied!
DCs are in bed now. I feel dreadful. Must have picked up what dh, dd, my mum all have. It will be me in bed next.
That is a lovely dress apuski. I really love the Matches site.

AntPants1 · 11/03/2012 19:04

Go ollie go! Am all for impromptu do's!!

bloss that sounds horrendous. Am so glad DD is perking up.

Have just taken DD to see the Mupets movie. Was genius. Actually found my shoulders moving when they started the mupet show song...it's time to start the music, it's time to light the lights....I so hope that with the success of the movie they bring it back properly on Saturday nights!!!!!

FritziGreenEyes · 11/03/2012 19:20

Would love to have an occasion to wear this.

Apuski that DVF is beautiful! Would do nothing for my figure, but I want it anyway!

OllieinOrange · 11/03/2012 19:29

Really, am quite trollied!

Am attempting some ironing now, A&E is on standby! Oh well, good practice for next week (drinking not ironing Smile)

DH is attempting an online tax return. He must be drunker than I thought!

Hopefully · 11/03/2012 19:30

Fritzi when I've made my blazers I have ambitions to alter the lapels and jacket front slightly to make a tuxedo. I aspire to have one, and then to have an occasion to wear it.

Speaking of occasions, wtf can DH and I do for our joint 30th? We want to have a big party, but can't decide on a house party type thing or booking out a restaurant or something else. It's not going to be till Christmas time, but I want to plan!

FritziGreenEyes · 11/03/2012 19:34

apuski That dress would look fantastic on you!

This is my dream tan bag. Not keen on the tricolor-bits on the zips but the rest is fabulous!

I would say restaurant Hopefully- then you can relax and let others do the cooking/cleaning up. Alternative would be at home with caterers- but still work involved before and after.

No, no not at all Red! I was just overly pleased that I actually remembered.

Great links Apuski and Fritzi, lovely dress and amazing McQueen.

Fab that you liked the Carven Annie and Blue, I do love the colours I am just unsure about where the boob part meets the neckline bit, might do some funny constrained thing. Probably a try on is required.

Momin thanks! I really like the Hermès. They only have black on their website I'll have to track down the other colours.

Is this Margiela bag nice or dull? It's a whopper!

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2012 19:52

Hopefully how about a nice venue with champagne and canapés (is that the right word, my mind has gone blank). Anyway, it could involve great dresses, everyone looking fabulous and some dancing at the end. My favourite kind of parties!

Or do it at home but have someone to help.

Emo76 · 11/03/2012 19:56

oh bloss ... I'm so glad all well today.
pickles that sounds like a good meet up outfit. olly surely you will be sporting a high-viz fire warden jacket....?
ants I love the Muppets, I took up piano when I was 8 because I loved Rolf so much!
marsha loving the bag links. I am saving already for the next Anya Hindmarch sale wanting a bag for A4 size docs.

quiet-ish day here, DD1 had friend over to play and they had a great time, ending it by hiding under a bed when it was home-time and causing me a slight panic. DD2 has been very cheery, still an early riser but I am trying hard to roll with it or I will go nuts. I do find I have to be very disciplined generally about going to bed early, which isn't great for relations with DH. Is there a hmmmmm emoticon?!

Emo76 · 11/03/2012 19:57

masrha I think that Margiela is a bit dull and not worth the asking price.
