Not very inspiring- think the tiredness is showing!

Icey- hope you are cuddling a gorgeous newborn bundle.

MIM- so close to the end now!

mrscb- am very impressed with the early morning run! DH and I did NMTZ before breakfast yesterday and felt smug for the rest of the day. I plan running later, although if I went now at least I would have it out of the way....

Slightly bleary eyes after evening of food and wine with friends and not enough sleep. First maxi wearing of the year last night!

Thanks for thoughts on outfit. Am trialing it at drinks at a neighbours this afternoon. The sun has finally put in an appearance so will spend some time in the garden later. All my favourite plans seem to have died over the winter including a big climbing jasmine which I loved for its scent. Bah!

MiM sending you a big hug today x

Hopefully your material finds sound great. I really admire how you can visualise how to use it.

Yes, lets agree a time to meet at MU venue so we can all work backwards with timings. Will 6pm be ok to grab a table?

Ollie I think meeting at 6pm is great. I tried to ring the venue yesterday to see if the cave was still free. But the person in events only works during the week, so I'll try Monday. Fingers crossed!

Moma I am so frustrated with my current bag. The strap is long and thick and it's heavy (albeit good quality and lovely colour aqua-ish duck blue leather). And when I lean forward to do the straps in the car for ds2 or end up picking him and his bike up because he is tired it just feels like an extra heavy thing that I can no longer stand.

So I'd love a slouchy, light, beautiful colour one that is worn on the shoulder. Bottega Veneta is actually the closest for shape and length of straps. I'd love Phillip Lim to do their chartreuse one in this shape. So no structure, buckles, or heaviness.

MiM big hugs from me too. Not long to go, hang in there lovely x

What do people think of this version of the Carven dress?

ApuskiMcClusky · 11/03/2012 08:24

Nearly there MiM!

Yes to agreeing MU timing, I need to sort out trains (Red, I will pm you). I will try to resist the temptation to panic-buy when I can't work out what to wear! ATM I'm thinking of wearing my IO olive dress in the evening (assuming you're not doing so Everything?) I think I will do tights, as otherwise shoes will become too complicated.

I failed to get navy trousers at the weekend, boys were not being conducive to a good try-on. I miss easy shopping!

I had fun in Jigsaw though - it was quiet, so all the staff had been asked to create an outfit and a story of what kind of customer it was for, with some stock they'd just got in - it was fab to see how they'd thought about putting things together and a great way of them getting really familiar with the stock. Then they voted on which they liked the best (though my gave didn't win!). I always found jigsaw good at making suggestions without pressure - now I know why!

AmberNectarine · 11/03/2012 08:30

Marsha I saw that yesterday, colour would totally wash me out, but can imagine it looking great on a slender blonde like you!

MiM you are not a pariah, in fact you have had one of the most stylish pregnancies on record, especially given all you have been through! You have done so well to get here and remain sane, just a couple more days and you will have a beautiful baby, however he or she gets here. Sending you lots of love x

ApuskiMcClusky · 11/03/2012 08:42

Marsha, gorgeous dress, I think that would look great on you (am with Amber on how it would look on me!)

MrsCampbellBlack · 11/03/2012 08:58

Marsh - lovely dress this one also fab.

Hopefully · 11/03/2012 08:59

Marsha that Carven is also really lovely. I would totally wear it if it wouldn't make me look like the walking dead.

6pm sounds sensible for MU time, but am happy to accompany one or two people a bit earlier if we want to secure the cave? Am thinking of wearing my Me & Em, am I horribly jumping the gun and someone else who bought it first is thinking of wearing it?

MIM hope you're not feeling too blue. I can honestly say that my elective CS was about a thousand times more enjoyable than my natural delivery, and recovery was way quicker, so it's not entirely bad news (although I appreciate that you actually want a natural delivery, so that's probably no compensation whatsoever).

What a beautiful day! Am wearing dark olive maxi skirt, cream Splendid racer back vest, huge slouchy brown belt and camel Brora boyfriend cardigan (I wear it practically every day and every time I put it on I am grateful to you lot for making me order it Smile). Oh, and the grubbiest pair of Toms you have ever seen in your life. Coral canvas is not an appropriate shoe choice when you spend half your day grubbing in the dirt with children, it turns out. Beautiful sunshine slightly marred by imminent arrival of (mad mad mad) FIL for lunch. Ho hum.

Hopefully · 11/03/2012 09:00

Oh, cross posts. I love that IRO dress too MrsCB! So many pretty party dresses.

Bonsoir · 11/03/2012 09:02

I love that Iro dress, MrsCB and I'm sure Marsha would do it justice!

I spent quite a long time in our local branch of The Kooples yesterday afternoon, buying a shirt and tie for DSS2. We had a formal dinner, with children in jacket/tie and dresses, which DSS2 found very difficult to comply with. And gosh, I *hated The Kooples (for me) - that upmarket Urban Destroy glam is so not my thing. DSS2 just loves it...

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2012 09:07

I love, love the Iro one! Thanks MrsCB. I think I would need tanned legs too and love the colour of the shoes with it. But it is gorgeous.

Might try the Carven, but if it's bad I will be pleased to wait to get the Iro.

I can't do The Kooples either, but mostly because I thought it was a band when I saw the ads. A new version of the White Stripes.

Love the outfit Hopefully, but no sun here!

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2012 09:10

Actually I just looked at them side by side and prefer the Iro one.

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2012 09:11

The neck line shape is nicer. And so are the model's legs which might be a factor.

Bonsoir · 11/03/2012 09:15

The Iro dress is sexier than the Carven one even without the models better legs. Iro is a sexier brand than Carven by quite a long way.

Bonsoir · 11/03/2012 09:16

model's

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2012 09:33

It is isn't it. Showed dh, he liked the darker Iro one too. .

Portia4 · 11/03/2012 09:39

Morning All Smile

This morning I am offically lounging in my WC grey lounging trousers, WC 3/4 sleeve top and WC waist coat acessorised with a pucci silk scarf, I bought two WC lounging outfits about two years ago and haven't had time to lounge since, so this morning is offically lounging time!

I love the Iro dress Mrs CB, really nice, I could see you wearing it Marsha.

MIM DD3 was born by CS, and as others have said it was alot easier than VB. I had a general anesthetic because I am so squeamish and was back at home and driving within days.

Bloss glad you had a good time at the rugby.

I went to a girlfriends house with DD2 for supper last night which was very enjoyable, but boy am I tired today. DH is gone for a hike in the mountains so I have the kitchen and Sunday papers to myself!

Amber Great that you had a lie in yesterday, hopefully DD will soon get used to her cot.

Hope that Icey will have news soon.

Have good Sundays everyone Smile

Mominatrix · 11/03/2012 09:53

MarshaBrady, I prefer the IRO dress - I think that it will be easier to wear and more versatile.

In terms of bag, what about the Hermes Garden Party? It comes in lovely colours, is a classic, and is practical. There is also the choice of toile or all-leather.

AmberNectarine · 11/03/2012 10:15

Can I just say I love the sound of a lounging outfit Portia? Think I need one in my life.

Off out to Wimbledon Common to see the windmill in a minute. DS obsessed with the things. Sigh.

Portia4 · 11/03/2012 10:21

Oh that is a fab bag Momina

I am going to be in Harrogate tomorrow on business, do any of you northern girls have any good shopping recommendations?

What a gorgeous day. Currently at swimming lessons (not ideal with a slight hangover tbh.) Wearing leopard maxi with black fitted tee and black canvas plimsolls. Off out to lunch and walk with house guests afterwards and hopefully a run later in the day when they have gone. Didn't get much sleep last night- officially knackered and pleased I can cover it up with sunglasses today.

Ah, thanks for all your nice words and advice re CS. I am sure it will be fine, I am just so frustrated that I am so close, yet so far. As it stands I have an appointment on Tuesday at which they wil book the CS then, so probably later in the week.

That Iro dress is stunning, although agree with the need for tanned legs, which is easy to make happen! I laughed at your glossing over the price difference marsha.

Nice lounging outfit, Portia, WC do that sort of thing very well.

I am wearing black skinnies, a white long sleeved top and this sort of apron style purple and white top that my friend lent me. Not the most stylish of get up's, but hair and make up done. Off out for another long walk, coffee in town with DH and DS (Amber - mine is obsessed with cafe's).
