Not very inspiring- think the tiredness is showing!

This is the sequin skirt here

MarshaBrady · 10/03/2012 18:10

Verity they are all fab, but I love the Proenza Schouler the best. Thanks! I love the colour. It is a lot, I'd have to get some extra days of work to cover spending that much for sure.

Moma I love the Zara shopping. Very SS and lovely.

Pickled that is a great link. I actually love the Marni stuff on her, the brocade looks top good. I find Marni and Boden to be very separate as the underlying concept is so different. Poles apart to me anyway.

Ollie I do really like that top, but check the fabric out. Can you go straight to the hotel drop off your coat? Then use it at night. You'd probably be alright getting to the venue but then getting back afterwards might be cold.

Reine you do make me laugh!

Bloss sounds like a great day.

pickledsiblings · 10/03/2012 18:18

Thanks MrsCB but no luck.

blossoming · 10/03/2012 18:22

Graphic print, navy main colour, no flowers, no leopard, no skulls, oversized, silk. Thanks pickled

portia, your wardrobe is incredible!

pickledsiblings · 10/03/2012 18:55

Not much around in oversized silk never mind navy...but, I will post what I have found that meets the brief:

65cm x 65cm - is that oversized?

Fleecy · 10/03/2012 18:56

ollie I wear my Jalouse with cropped jeans so there's a little gap. I think it's fine to be honest and DH hasn't said it's strange so it can't be that bad. I find it slimming and need all the help I can get in that department at the moment!

Have been catching up on all the Marni chat - all very exciting! Think I'm a bright/clear? Spring so I can wear strong colour but not those ones. Love the spotty pattern and the brocade trousers though.

blue sorry to hear you're feeling a bit low today. It's early days and you're tired - don't be too hard on yourself!

amber did you get a lie-in today or are you having one tomorrow?

hopefully sounds like you've got some exciting times and changes ahead!

pickledsiblings · 10/03/2012 19:08

Bloss, not suggesting you wear it like this! - silk/large/navy

AmberNectarine · 10/03/2012 19:41

Evening all,

To those who asked, yes I did indeed have a lay in today, thanks for caring! Was punctuated by a lot of shouting from downstairs as the DCs were giving DH the run around, but it was nice to lay there in peace. Then DH took DS swimming while DD and I popped out to the shops. It was very nice indeed!

My eBay items are up to £86 already, so that's the Me&Em top covered. Might be a bit optimistic to think I'll raise enough for the Carven as well!

ollie love that top, and I wear my jalouse/NLs/pistols with cropped jeans all the time. I think that sounds like a great outfit!

blue I remember thinking that around the same time as you. 8 months later I have just this evening put my DD down for her first night in her own room! Wish I had acted sooner as its such a battle now!

bloss I know you don't want McQueen but I think a silk scarf is a great buy, I wear mine all the time, especially now we're into Spring!

icey good luck, can't wait for BA. mim hope your baby is on his/her way too. Please post photos (you too blue)

hopefully what did you get in Brighton

pickledsiblings · 10/03/2012 19:41

DVF Bloss.

pickledsiblings · 10/03/2012 19:55

NF, quite like this myself!

AmberNectarine · 10/03/2012 20:00

liberty via tk maxx bloss

pickledsiblings · 10/03/2012 20:23

Last one from me - Malene Birger.

Off to watch Dawson's Creek with DD Blush.

Have lovely evenings the lot of you.

Russianred · 10/03/2012 20:24

Good evening lovely ladies, am on babysitting shift number 2 after a lovely day walking in the woods and browsing in some reclamation yards. Lovely.

Icey hope you're going great guns! Am so excited for you.a

Blue absolutely your baby, your choice and you musn't feel worried about the decision you make as it will be the right one for your family, in your circumstances. DS was in his own room from 6 weeks as he was no more than 12 steps form our bed. DD was in with us till about 7 months, in a bedside cot. I cannot recommend them highly enough - made having her in the room so, so much easier. Love all the pink in your SS wardrobe!

Ollie that outfit sounds ideal - I think cropped jeans and ankle boots looks great, so go for it. Your new neighbours sound like good 'uns.

Glad you enjoyed the match Bloss.

Hurrah for your lie-in Amber.

Am planning my MU weekend outfits; how much crossover do we think there may be?!

Hopefully · 10/03/2012 20:39

Phew, busy and active day! Walking round Brighton, spring cleaning and Shred. Tempered slightly by a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream after lunch.

NY I am Grin at the blot bang rub routine!

Ollie your outfit sounds fab. I hope your poor skin recovers soon though, it sounds sore! Am panicking slightly thinking that I might appear very unstylish next to all of you!

Am going to book train tickets to MU tonight, was there any further discussion of times? I will probably get to London about 1pm I guess, maybe a bit earlier for some shopping and lunch before no doubt getting pissed on one glass of prosecco and falling over before even leaving the hotel.

Amber hurrah! So pleased you got your lie in.

Not a massive haul from Brighton - the DSs were being a bit high maintenance so no clothes shopping, but we did manage to have an absolutely lovely pub lunch all together (see aforementioned chocolate brownie). And I did buy some amazing Roberto Cavalli fabric (the fabric shop I go to buys the leftover fabric bolts after designer clothing lines are made). It's a heavy oyster white cotton damask, but instead of the big flowers that you get on damask tablecloths, the 'textured' bit is leopard print, so it's a really subtle, same coloured leopard print. I'm going to make a jacket and waistcoat from it. Am also toying with getting more to make a skirt (not all to be worn together!). The fabric shop owner also has some gorgeous dark olive green Armani cotton drill coming in next week which will do nicely for a skirt and/or jacket too.

Oh and Blue poor you with the sleep deprivation, it's so bloody hard when the newborn excitement begins to wane a little bit and you just feel tired all the time. As others have said, bedside cot saved us (although mostly only for use as a bed rail, since DS2 would only sleep on my actual lap, latched on for the first 3 months or so. It was joyous Hmm). Don't know where you're based, but we have a bedside cot you're welcome to borrow for a couple of months if it would help.

AmberNectarine · 10/03/2012 21:15

Well DD lasted a whole hour in her cot before I got fed up with going in every 5 mons so she is back in bed next to me. Going to move the cot in here tomorrow and try again. Is it ridiculous that DH and I have discussed in all seriousness the surrender of our bed to her?

AmberNectarine · 10/03/2012 21:17

That fabric sounds just beautiful hopefully I know it's a bit TOWIE but I must confess to loving a bit of Cavalli. The saddest thing to come out of my colour consultation is the confirmation that the tans and browns of leopard print do nothing for me

Hopefully · 10/03/2012 22:29

Amber a leopard print tragedy! I am gently easing myself into leopard print a little bit (with a MN-scarf-esque cheapie huge leopard print scarf, mostly), and I really like it.

Distinctly recall also being in the ridiculous situation of DS2 having the entire double bed and bedside cot to himself when he was about 7-8 months and me and DH sleeping on the fold out bed in the spare room. Happy days Hmm

MarshaBrady: I second (or third?) the Bottega Venata vote. Gorgeous bags and so well made - practical and stylish. What exactly are you looking for in your bag (I know that you posted it, but it probably is buried deeply in the old thread)

Amber: stick to your guns and keep trying to get DD into her own cot. I was too much of a softie and DS1 did not leave my bed until the age of 6, and DS2 is still in there! Thank goodness I have a very large bed! In terms of leopard print - what about the print in different colours? I can't do the brown/black, but I have a bright blue/fuschia which suits me, as well as a pink/beige one.

blossoming: am v jealous. Rugby players are very, very lush. I have no clue what goes on during the game, but it certainly is a pleasure to watch (well, except when there are the very bloody injuries).

You ladies have MUs? Probably too late to join this time - but what do they entail?

notyummy · 10/03/2012 23:33

Mom- Wine. And outfits. And Fun. That's the short version, anyway....

Morning all. Any news from Icey?

I am still here, resigned to the fact I have 48 hours left. Feeling a bit despondent that I can't seem to get things going beyond this stage.

I can't even comment on the links....I am the W&A pariah.

AntPants1 · 11/03/2012 06:50

MIM you are not a pariah. Not long to go my lovely.x

Decameron · 11/03/2012 07:24

MiM*, aww, yes, not long.

Amber, I used a great maternity nurse for DD1 who also is also great for sleep issues if you want to go that route. Good you got a lie in though.

MrsCampbellBlack · 11/03/2012 07:26

MIM - not long now and its a stunningly beautiful day Smile So is tuesday c-section day - I know I do go on about it but seriously my 2 electives were truly wonderful and my recovery was incredibly quick.

Just drinking my coffee before going for a run and lordy I have the worst pmt - I swear its getting worse the older I get.
