I am loving this look and have seen similar in new look/topshop - anyone going to try it this spring?

Oh and I'm not 18 or 5ft 10 before anyone says that I need to be to wear them Wink

Gorgeous, but if you are older than 18, bigger than a size 6 and have anything less than 36" inside leg. NO.
Wink

Love em

dexter73 · 19/01/2012 18:16

I think it is a very young look but would have to see it on an older person to see if it works.

MrsCampbellBlack · 19/01/2012 18:17

Lizzy you monkey Wink

Am convincing myself they're very nearly like blue or grey and I love that colour.

I tried the new look cheapy versions today and they looked pretty good I think [delusional]

God - I am an older person aren't I?

If you can wear white jeans (and I know you rock em, MrsC) then you can wear lilac.
My thighs would be beyond thunderous in those babies, but I have the shred and hope in my heart that one day, one day...

dexter73 · 19/01/2012 18:29

Me too - 38 Grin!! The trouble I have is that my dd (14) and all her friends wear coloured jeans so I would feel a bit like I am trying to dress like a teenager if I wore them too. My dd bought a lovely pair of jade green skinnies from New Look today and I would love to have a pair but would look a bit tragic in RL, I think!!

SixtyFootDoll · 19/01/2012 18:30

I was torn between that colour and electric blue today. Went for the blue.
I am 40 and size 12. If I like it I,wear it.

henrythecat · 19/01/2012 18:34

Love that look, especially with the scarf. So nice for spring/summer when you want to wear summery clothes but the good old English summer doesn't quite allow.

Lizzy, I too am hoping the shred will be the key...

TheGoldRoad · 19/01/2012 18:37

I want some raspberry or purple ones. I've seen some in New Look but they had every size but mine left Sad

MrsCampbellBlack · 19/01/2012 18:38

Oh I bought the red ones in NL today - nice fit and good cherry colour but shocking quality.

Must say am quite pleased by feedback - was expecting a resounding noooooo!

Did nobody else see this post and think scratch 'n sniff!!!

MrsCampbellBlack · 19/01/2012 18:45

Yes there are threads hanging off everywhere but were less than £20.

trixymalixy · 19/01/2012 18:49

Only for the young slim and trendy, so not a look I'll be tryIng sadly!!

TheGoldRoad · 19/01/2012 18:49

Hmmm I liked the New Look ones cos they were cheap and cheerful. The topshop ones will probably be double the price. I will check them out though!

LOL @ being pleased with the feedback Grin

TheGoldRoad · 19/01/2012 18:51

I'm 34, slightly overweight and think I'm the trendiest alive. So that's me ticking all the boxes ok then Grin

And I've really short legs Shock

I will rock the look - wont I!?

Lizzylou · 19/01/2012 19:31

I have some rust skinnies (Next Blush) and have had nowt but compliments, would just be worried with anything paler. I could be delusional though!

Henry, if we don't "phone it in", d'ya think we could go pale??? Wink

Lizzylou · 19/01/2012 19:33

Oh I have grey skinnies as well.

I look awful don't I? 38, size 14 (but long legs!), 5ft 9"...

Bugger it.

MrsCampbellBlack · 19/01/2012 19:43

I bet you look fab - gosh and its just jeans - I mean what are people going to do - point and laugh? Wink

noddyholder · 19/01/2012 19:44

I like those. Age irrelevant imo if you look good in them. MN is obsessed with age and what you can and can't wear I have already been told this week that I am desperate to still be a teenager becasue I wear converse occasionally

cyb · 19/01/2012 19:49

I like that look but do feel a bigger bum might tend towards Judith Chalmersville if one isnt careful

monkeysmama · 19/01/2012 19:49

I love them and really like the Donna Ida link. I think they have styled them in a way that looks entirely suitable for grown ups.

Lizzylou · 19/01/2012 19:50

My legs are all I have left, mid-thigh down nowadays. Used to have the chest as well, children put paid to them, it's the middle bits that are all to pot.

I really like the lavender jeans, if I could, I would.
