remember the sculpting blusher in the 80s?
i have to STOP myself taking blusher up to temples to stop that mad " just done aerobics perma flush" thing we used to be told to do.

the highlighter above the lipstick - i still do it on a night out, in the cupids bow Hmm and Im sure i look demented

what make up things can you not stop doing?

startail I really rate Lisa Eldridge video tutorials. She does the usual party face ones but also has a range of "everyday Looks" which are probably more than enough for most of us here

musttidyupmusttidyup · 19/12/2011 15:11

Heather shimmer! That takes me back. What about blondie? Grin

sneezecake · 19/12/2011 15:23

I'm still stuck in my goth 90's style makeup, except the lipstick has changed to a normal colour, not black anymore!

bigfatgypsy · 19/12/2011 16:30

Hmm this has got me thinking. I used to wear grey eyeliner smudged under and inside my lower lids, and lots of black mascara when I was at school (well around 1988 onwards) and I STILL wear this every day Blush

It's easy, suits me (I think Confused) and I simply could not imagine life without it.

I've dabbled with eyeshadows and blushers in the past but nothing has lasted as long as that tiny stump of pencil that I scrawl under my eyes each day!

I wouldn't know how to change.

nellie02 · 19/12/2011 16:43

oh no, can I not wear glittery make up then :( ? but I only got it two years ago, that's my special party/hiding the hangover look. I'm worried now!

and I wear blusher to my temples.

is a no make up face more acceptable?!

Pinot · 19/12/2011 16:53

I love cod most

Ummm, I still do the highlighter above the cupids bow.

I have weaned myself off the tri-stripe nose shenanigans (one stripe bronzer down centre with highlighter stripes either side). Now a Good Look.

I have tried and liked red lippie this year, but still can't "do" liner under my eyes. Makes me look piggy snorty.

And I like a birra bronzer on my temples Blush

NO SHIMMER nail varnish or lipstick must ever be worn

My Vientamese nail operative says only the OLD LADIES choose pearlescent.

if oyu are using BLACK mascara and you dont have dark brown hair - desist. You will look like a Goth, unless oyu ARE a Goth in which case you may continue. weirdos Wink

I am a throughly modern make up millie

Arf at you lot with your cheeks sucked in applying blusher

Do you all have rollerball lipgloss

FioFio · 19/12/2011 18:02

vaseline on the lips

though after my previous post about anal bleaching I feel this confession is unwise

Cybbo · 19/12/2011 18:03

And have NEVER applied blusher to temples Shock

Dawndonnathatchristmasiscoming · 19/12/2011 18:03

Damnit! I had a quick look for heather shimmer in Superdrug today!

noddyholder · 19/12/2011 18:04

I have always done the same no make up face. No colour at all! I flirt with red lips and then catch sight of myself and run screaming back to all manner of naked, bare, skin, etc.

noddyholder · 19/12/2011 18:04

You need a v light touch on the temples v v light otherwise rocky horror.

MarleneOnTheWall · 19/12/2011 18:04

I don't actually do it but every time I put on eyeliner on lower lid I think now if I had a white pencil I'd white the inner bits and my eyes would magically appear sized XXL.

FluffyMummy123 · 19/12/2011 18:05

cybbo TRY the temples.
it makes you less aunt sally.
i am always aGJHAST at people who dont wear blusher, they must look liek corpses all the time

suburbandream · 19/12/2011 18:06

Heather shimmer suited me!! I miss Heather shimmer but I still use smokey quartz eyeshadow. I've stopped the white eyeliner inside the rims now though Smile

FluffyMummy123 · 19/12/2011 18:07

My best nude- but making you look human- colour is a cliniqute freaky thing (that replaces my dear friend IMpossbily glossy in sugarplum) called somehting violet. it makes your lips plumper they say. ( it stings anyway)

FluffyMummy123 · 19/12/2011 18:07

MarshaBrady · 19/12/2011 18:07

Pale foundation or tinted moisturiser, can't switch to new mineral powders etc
Black eyeliner and mascara... but not a goth and blonde.
Lipstick. Put it on and blot most of it off.
Can't do eyeshadow.

Fairly minimal really. Can't break these habits, but have tried.

MarleneOnTheWall · 19/12/2011 18:09

Also at my peak of whited eyes I only had a white pencil you were meant to use under your nails as a sort of early French manicure. It must have been about a 3H - my eyes were gouged and pink anyway.

FluffyMummy123 · 19/12/2011 18:09

i dont use powder any more. remember when you had to be FLAWLESS and chalky like an old lady at a national trust shop?
