New one!

Ha I don't blame you, I would too. These boots are very similar in shape to my APC ones.... will have to make do with that. Love the rose stuff too.

AmberNectarine · 03/12/2011 15:59

blue twas no mean feat, have scoured Michael Kors concessions London-wide. Finally found it, ironically, in my local department store - it was the last one!! I got a M, which is a little roomy, but as I plan to wear it layered shamelessly copying in the style of Wendy, it doesn't matter. Will keep an eye out for a smaller size. Have you tried contacting MK themselves, they could probably track one down?

Marsha it is this little beauty

wideawakenurse · 03/12/2011 16:17

Love this Wendy obsession.

That Vince jumper is gorgeous marsha and I love her use of rose coloured t-shirts and scarves.

I like her skinny jean pairing video too, love the electric blue J-brands and the black skinnies with the White blazer. She has some
Fabulous handbags too.

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2011 16:31

Oh that is gorgeous Amber. And bravo for finding it!

I know WAN a beautiful handbag to match every outfit. I wonder if some of it is loaned or given to her. The white blazer and electric blue is lovely I agree.

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2011 16:34

Blue are you there. Look

AmberNectarine · 03/12/2011 16:50

There has been an outfit change in honour of the gilet. DH amused by me prancinG around in it. Don't think men really get the whole 'need' for a particular thing. If DH wants a jumper he walks into Gap, picks one up and goes 'that'll do'.

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2011 16:54

Ha dh just gets stuff too. Usually online. Actually he's getting a bit more excited these days (damn!).

I wore a Sandro dress, blue grey tights and Kors purple calf hair heels last night, just because I felt like it and it was so nice to be home. Felt good.

pickledsiblings · 03/12/2011 18:16

Hello All Smile

OK, ao where's the Wendy link - just looked back and I can't find it.

Busy few days here and a busy few ahead. Have caved and applied for a teaching position at our local high school. The ad said that part time hours may be available for the right candidate. It is only for a maternity contract so I was hoping they wouldn't go the whole hog on the interview process but no, student panel, teach a lesson, the lot! Tis on Friday.

NY your outfit sounded fab, I trust you had a blast.

Ollie you are such a lovely wife Smile. I'm glad your Dad got through his op OK and I hope DH's work situation settles down soon. DD's 11+ results come out at the beginning of March so it's a long wait. I was thinking of applying for a music scholarship at a decent Independent school not too far away but I made the mistake of asking a girl who is in Y6 at the prep school if there were any good musicians in her year - just a girl who is on grade 7 violin and grade 5 harp ShockShock. DD's grade 5 piano and grade 4 violin pale in comparison.

Great gillet Amber and Blue and well done Marsha spotting it in XS at Anna.

notyummy · 03/12/2011 20:47

Hi all. Still recovering after fab time last night. Was brilliant! Had a caricature drawn of us and cheesy photos taken in a huge snow done. There was a bucking reindeer ride that I was dying to have a go on, but it would inevitably mean falling off and I didn't think my tit tape would take it Grin.

Pickled- exciting news about the job! Fingers crossed. Do you know what you are wearing?

Bloss- hope you are having a fab time in London.

Marsha- Have a fab party!

Been decorating the house today before DH departs as I wanted done help. Looks good so far! We have just finished watching Strictly- lived the movie theme this week. Very entertaining- particularly Artem in his cloak and mask

Just want to thank ants for a lovely long lunch and Christmas drink. I am home safe, but in the dog house. I have unfortunately lost my phone somewhere in Euston, and DH has been worried sick. I am bereft.

FritziGreenEyes · 03/12/2011 21:28

Quick check-in from another 40th party. Almost all women are dressed on drab black or even wearing jeans with riding boots. I'm holding up the Wise&Avid flag wearing very sparkly top and stilettos. Hope the DJ will turm up the volume up soon.

Will catch up tomorrow, mwah!!!!

bloss I had the best time. So sorry about your phone.

blue2711 · 03/12/2011 23:28

marsha and amber, I got it! Feel giddy and thrilled! DH saw me drooling over it and offered to get it me for Christmas. Thank you so much for finding, marsha. Just hope it looks half as good on me as it does on Wendy. Glad you're pleased with yours, amber. I feel I should now stop coveting Wendy's many other gorgeous things but I'm afraid I've already googled the Stuart Weizmann (sp?) 50/50 boots in the hope they weren't too pricey. They were.

Glad you had a good night, notyummy. Hope you had fun in London, bloss; any purchases? Sorry about the phone. It's such a dreadful feeling, I know.

pickled, that's exciting about the job interview! Is it a nice place? Planning the lesson is always nerve-wracking but you've time to sort something good. I always go for tried and tested. What will your outfit be?

Truly dreadful weather here. We had to just park by the sea to show DS the storm-lashed beach as he was so keen to see the promised 'seaside'. But we took him swimming at the spa at the amazing Turnberry Hotel and then treated ourselves to drinks afterwards. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel if you're ever in Ayrshire. Absolutely sumptuous style and luxury, albeit pricey. Always makes me feel like I'm in an Agatha Christie novel (without the murder).

Hope you're all having lovely weekends too.

blue2711 · 04/12/2011 00:40

By the way, am still coveting the roxy. Love the sound of your outfit today, bloss. Just wanted to ask: have you seen it in the cream? Any good? I'm just wondering whether it might suit me better. Or would I always wish I'd got it in the black? Decisions, decisions. And the 20% off runs out tomorrow!

Must sleep now.

blossoming · 04/12/2011 07:07

I am on morning shift. Penance for failing to get the payphones in the station to work to tell DH why I wasn't answering my phone.
Luckily my contract was running out beginning of January, and so I've upgraded early, and should get a new phone on Tuesday. I shall miss you during the day till then though. Can't MN on work computers.

I had a great time yesterday. Got to Euston at 10.10, and got to the hairdressers by 11, and inbetween managed to run to St Christopher's place, go into Kooples, dislike it tremendously, pop into Whistles, where I bought this dress. Basically I want to wear my super high shoeboots and my roxy jacket for my Christmas do with the governors, and I want just something to wear underneath. This is perfect. And I got some more of their fabulous opaques too.
That was it for shopping, apart from SS bought, bits of make up. And a nice browse round handbags and sunglasses. Lovely day.

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 07:12

Yep, the 50/50s are 365 in R&B, saw them when browsing yesterday. They have them in navy suede - gorgeous!

DH keeps dropping hints about my birthday to get me excited, bless him. He has apparently kept to my list except for one 'quite big' surprise.

fritzi glad you showed them how it was done!

pickled I think grade 5 at 11 is pretty amazing! I don't think I made that until about 14.

blue glad you got the gilet, you will love it, it really is gorgeously soft. We will have to compare notes before any MU we're both although, or we might turn up in the same outfit Xmas Grin

NY glad you had a great night!

Sounds like you had a great mini MU ants and bloss, but what a pity you lost your phone, bloss. Did you do any shopping?

Christmas tree going up today, though where I don't quite know. We seem to have accumulated so much furniture in the last year!

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 07:16

Ah, cross-posted - love that dress!

OllieinOrange · 04/12/2011 07:20

Bloss thats horrible about your phone and DH being so worried. Really feel for you. Things like that really upset me too. Hope you and DH are ok today.

Ants glad you had a nice lunch with Bloss - where did you go?

Amber,Blue and Marsha loved reading your posts yesterday - your excitement levels rose with every post. We need pics of the MK!

Pickled March? Thats such a long wait! Congrats on getting an interview, you will dazzle them with your ability and wit! Yes, what are you wearing?

Fritzi hope the party picked up - you sounded wonderfully dressed.

Some of us did this last year, but can really recommend The Portable North Pole website here. You can input details of your DC and they get a personalised video which includes FC saying their name, whats on their Christmas list, what they have done well this year - its brilliantly done.

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 08:01

Oh, Wendy's got another fab outfit on today. Missoni dress. Do love a bit of Missoni [ferrets out Missoni scarf]

So over WIT.

wideawakenurse · 04/12/2011 09:35

Glad the gilet situation has been resolved. Grin

Lovely dress bloss, although sorry to hear about the phone situation. DH would be more cross me with for losing the phone rather than worrying about my whereabouts! Glad that you and Ants had a good time, where did you go?

pickled fingers crossed for the interview for you. They'd me mad to to want you.

I am trying to have a lazy day here, feeling a bit tired. I am so not a bloomer in pregnancy.

Looking at Wendy's website, I have decided that on my birthday next year, I will be wearing her evening outfit on the 'holiday pairings' clip. Sequin mini, opaques, black top and blazer. She looks amazing.

Agree Amber, make's WIT look dull doesn't it? How exciting that DH is excited for your birthday.

pickledsiblings · 04/12/2011 09:38

Amber, how do I find Wendy?

Bloss, great dress. Your day yesterday sounded lovely - probably worth being in the dog house for Smile. Have you seen this EA website? There are some nice candid shots of her if you are prepared to browse through the site. What fraction of a week do you work again Bloss? It seems to be working well for you.

For the interview I ihink I may wear my black knee high boots, grey blazer and I'm not sure what else...

Blue, I thought the cream Roxy looked lovely but would definitely not get worn as much as the black. Great that you got the fur Smile.

NJC, were you a music scholar by any chance?

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2011 09:40

pickled here she is, say goodbye to your spare time...

pickledsiblings · 04/12/2011 09:42

WAN, with what you've been through you should be feeling absolutely shattered. Feeling 'a bit tired' sounds positively blooming to me! Take it easy Smile. Have you got some baby names for us to drool over?

wideawakenurse · 04/12/2011 09:44

Well, DH just cannot agree! I love Beatrice for a girl. DH says no!

At the moment we are agreed on Olivia for a girl and Oliver or James for a boy.

That will change though!
