New one!

OP posts:

Ollie, hopefully it will be ok. DH has job worries every few weeks, it's scary. That stall sounds great! I gave my parents a half-eaten box of After Eights one year.

wideawakenurse · 03/12/2011 07:18

Good morning all. I have left DH to have a lie-in, in the hope it helps the general feel of the day!

Hope you have a good day MrsCB, despite the man-flu. Wink

annie, agree with Reine and stay for the chat, don't go! I am still loving the links despite them not being of any use to me at the moment. Although I understand its a different feeling when buying is not an option due to ££. What I am trying to say in a clumsy way, is do stay. Smile

I think I need yet another pair of boots. I love those ones you linked too carciofi in burgundy. However, I am really struggling with my work wardrobe with the absence of uniforms. Something like these would go well with dresses and tights for work, but still flat for comfort.

Meant to say thanks to annie for the allergy info. DS has had so many rounds of skin prick testing now and to be honest the results tie in with his symptoms so I am confident they are right. He has been diary and egg free since 6 months old and over the last year we have also had to eliminate soya, beef, lamb, tomatoes and now the new things from yesterday. He eats a lots of chicken!! Grin

Hows things going red? Any progress on the building work?

carciofi · 03/12/2011 07:18

Red, I'm not able to make it on the 18th, sorry. Glad you had a good night.

wideawakenurse · 03/12/2011 07:23

I click and then you are all here, its magic!

red, I don't think I'll make it I am afraid, as I have my MIL to stay and also need to bake some sort of cake for DS birthday party the next day. Would have been lovely.

Enjoy Harrods today carciofi. Its there a card holders event?

Morning Ollie. Sounds like you are being great to DH.

wideawakenurse · 03/12/2011 07:37

Just watched Wendy's videos on skinny jeans and ankle boots.

I want to be her.

OllieinOrange · 03/12/2011 07:40

Is Kooples 'new''? I'd not heard of it until the last thread It was the same with Superdry - I was the last to know!

OllieinOrange · 03/12/2011 07:40

WAN I want Wendy as my new BBF!

OllieinOrange · 03/12/2011 07:44

Loved the bird print on this Monsoon blouse but not the sleeve design www.monsoon.co.uk/fusion-zeppelin-blouse/invt/92326741/&bklist=icat,5,shop,women,womentops,alltops

blossoming · 03/12/2011 07:47

Hi all early risers! I am breaking the diet and having an almond croissant as I wait for my train. Got a great reaction to my outfit from DH and he also said I looked about 25!
It's black skinnies in black shiny boots, WC jumper, roxy jacket, charcoal scarf and charcoal cashmere beret. Really happy with it.

wideawakenurse · 03/12/2011 07:48

Oh yes, wandering around art galleries with Wendy whilst she styles you would be great!

Agree with those sleeves, shame as the print is lovely.

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2011 08:09

Ah I love all the Wendy love. Far too tall to be her. I need a tall person who is ace.

Anniemac do stay your posts are lovely.

Red excellent, will be fun. Saturday's the 17th I think?

Bloss sounds lovely.

Big party tonight with Kensgtn people. Hair cut today. Ce Me and Kors heels or Halston. Will see.

redllamayellowllama · 03/12/2011 08:23

Aah yes, it is the 17th Marsha. Thank you

carciofi · 03/12/2011 09:08

Ollie, Kooples is fairly new.

Wan, no, we are going to visit Santa at Harrods. Or Father Chrischris, as DD1 calls him.

Bonsoir · 03/12/2011 10:02

Hello W&A ones Smile

Kooples is a French chain founded by the children of the people who founded Comptoir des Cotonniers (which I think was sold - Kooples has grown on the proceeds). It builds on Comptoir des Cotonniers' very successful "Mothers and Daughters" marketing campaign which meant that C des C stretched its target market across the generations; Kooples sells to both men and women and is "positioned" as more male (while in fact selling more women's clothing... women buy more clothes).

Can I recommend this gorgeous little girl's dress in Gap, which has 30% off today and tomorrow? DD has it and it is immensely flattering. Dressed down with boots and a cardi-coat for casual glam...

blossoming · 03/12/2011 12:30

Glad I went in, but my kooples flirtation is well and truly over. Pitch black changing roomscand no mirror. Run for the hills!

redllamayellowllama · 03/12/2011 12:34

Is there still 30% off at Gap and if so, has anyone got the code? Can't seem to find an email from them.

Bonsoir · 03/12/2011 12:51

Here in France you don't need a code for 30% off at Gap - EVERYTHING has 30% off for everyone, until tomorrow.

redllamayellowllama · 03/12/2011 12:53

Yes, here in England it is the same deal, but I wanted to order something online, which doesn't have the 30% taken off automatically.

OllieinOrange · 03/12/2011 13:06

Got all excited then about getting the Wendy trousers but here in the land of the clogs the 30% off only applies to Our Favourite Gifts - which doesnt include them!' Why not, I''d like them as a gift!

The reality of the English School's Christmas Fair wasn't the lovely family outing I'd envisaged. DH got stressed as there was nowhere to park (it was heaving), DS2 had another huge strop about the bloody lego calendar, and DS1 just wanted to eat cupcakes, At least I stocked up on some lovely cards and DSs did the thing where they picked a present and wrapped it (turns out they picked one for each other - ahhh).

AmberNectarine · 03/12/2011 13:12

OMG, am having a Wendy related moment of super-excitement. DH has consented to mr getting her MK faux-fur gilet, which I saw in my local dept store. Am off to get it, yippee! No spending 'til sales now though, not so bad as have birthday and Xmas in between.

blue2711 · 03/12/2011 13:38

amber, this is getting ridiculous now! I have spent hrs last night and tonight trying to track down that gilet! Watched the YouTube video and got that 'I must have that or else life isn't worth living' feeling. Where have you found it??? And please please if you see it in a xs or s tell me!

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2011 13:45

Oh god I'm getting excited and I have no idea what it is.

If MKors then I have to find out, need to bookmark site.

blue2711 · 03/12/2011 13:52

Watch out, marsha, the hunt has so far brought me nothing but disappointment... Wendy has a lot to answer for!

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2011 14:14

Eek Blue. I am in trouble too Smile. I have been looking at her site for 20 mins and love everything.

But want to find and wear Vince stripes and Wang skirt

... going back in.

blue2711 · 03/12/2011 14:35

I want everything too! That outfit is fantastic. Keep clicking and finding myself on great new sites. Getting particularly obsessed with her scarves. And feel stupidly pleased when she has something I already have!
