Sounds like a fab MU! Great that annie made it. I am on early shift. DD is adorable in a pale purple Peppa dressing gown I got her yesterday.
When you all surface I can't wait to hear all about it!
How great you got a night out fleecy, hope you're feeling better today. Sure it won't be long before the leather skirt fits.
You have such talent njc. What are your plans for Christmas?
I felt less bah humbug myself yesterday when I heard my first Salvation Army band of the season.
Great leather skirt mrscb. What's on your Christmas list? Hope you enjoy the panto.
I have Sunday School nativity today. I am taking DD. I see carnage ahead!

notyummy · 18/12/2011 07:44

Glad that the MU went well and that a good group of you could make it. Were you in the same bar as last time? It was great!

Bloss- what does one wear to the Sunday School nativity?

We are off to see Arthur Christmas later this morning. Have heard good reports so am looking forward to it!

Yes same place as last time. Was really good. Anniemac and I did stay and dance for a while at the end. Everyone looked great, three lace dresses plus sequins and leopardy print for Ants. I wore Ce Me black dress. Lots of champagne! It was good fun.

OllieinOrange · 18/12/2011 08:22

Sounds like a really great mini meet up. I have a pang of envy! Loved the sound of the outfits too. Did you get to sit in the cave bit?! Just been checking flights for March......

Russianred · 18/12/2011 08:33

Thank goodness I left when I did - DD was up for most of the night teething horribly and didn't dare have her in bed with me due to alcohol consumption so lots of pacing floorboards - am exhausted. And possibly still a little drunk. No cave, but a perch on the sofa that gave us an excellent view of the dancing taking place.

Hope the nativity goes well Bloss.

Glad you had a good evening out Fleecy - lovely of your MiL to step in and help with the DC. That P&J dress really was a good find, hey?

Have heard good things about it NY, hope you enjoy.

Emo76 · 18/12/2011 08:43

Pickled I think that must be a fake.

Sorry to have missed the meet up, I have massively overdone the partying of late and just didn't have the stamina but I really wish I had gone now as I find the meet ups so very uplifting.

Going for a run this morning and staying off the booze all weekend. Someone took a photo of me at a party last week and I look really fat at the moment, though generally am not very photogenic, I wish I was !!

Need to sort Dh Xmas present. We have set a £100 limit. I have asked for a nespresso machine with aerocinno (tragic?!). Any ideas welcome!

Happy Sunday you lovely lot.

blossoming · 18/12/2011 08:55

emo, you are not fat and the photos you put up on fb are always beautiful. Look forward to seeing you again in March.
I had a under £100 budget and asked for a kindle, icewatch, nap tshirt or pashmina. For DH, I bought him a bike helmet and a thermos mug. Bought dad a box set of original bbc series tinker tailor.. And a shirt from Crew. Good stuff there for that budget.
That is just typical isn't red? Hope you get lots of help today.
Well done marsha on the early post, and meant to say congrats on master Brady being accepted.
ny, the drive is snowy and icey so we are walking. Will be Aigle and snowboots over indigo skinnies and white co stripe sweater. I really don't have any festive outfits this year. Must try harder.

OllieinOrange · 18/12/2011 09:06

Agree with Bloss, you are so not overweight Emo. A few days of careful eating after Xmas will soon sort it out (I have tummy issues at the moment after too many big meals out and chocolate scoffing whilst wrapping presents! Am prepared to live with it til 1st Jan!)

Red Its a great venue isn't it. Glad you got a sofa.

Bloss I have got DH a thermos flask so he can take coffee on his trips out with the boys! I am loving my kindle but keep wanting to touch the screen like my ipad!

No sign of snow here - wish there was to help make it more Christmassy.

Fabulous night with reine, marsha, Annie and red. We stuck to champagne all night. Great conversation and even some dancing!

Last saw Annie and marsha tearing up the dance floor. Left with reine. Boy can that lady move! the bus fairy was with us..we ran for and caught each time the bus we needed. Man reine is fast when running down the bus lane for a bus!!! I did silly drunk lady run..... of sort of laughing and hopping but also managed to make it!

Oh, so sorry to have miss the MU, sounds like you had a great time. Will definitely be at the next one! I was vindicated in my decision as both kids were pests and then I didn't feel very well. Am fine now though, and am quite excited about my birthday tomorrow!

Going to do a last bit of Xmas shopping today (and may have a quick peek at the sales) so will gird my loins.

NY agree re. Strictly, the right person won.

MarshaBrady · 18/12/2011 10:22

Anniemac it was the 7+ assessment he did last month for the next school. He was offered a place. Pickled kindly listened to my stressing last MU.

Really looking forward to next big MU. To see you all and to do more dancing, forgotten his good it feels.

Sister has arrived from sunny Perth.

wideawakenurse · 18/12/2011 10:24

MU sounds like it was fantastic..very envious here too. Grin

Emo - Wash your mouth out! You are never fat, not in a million years. Re DH gifts, I went for: A thin grey jumper from Paul Smith and a ticket to the quarter final darts championship next week!! (Two other friends have done the same for their DH's).

DS's party this afternoon, so busy baking and cooking everything in duplicate - one normal version and one that is DS friendly. Thank goodness for vegan cookbooks, they are my saviour.

Back later.

wideawakenurse · 18/12/2011 10:25

Oh, x posted.

marsha that's great news about DS. Well done him.

OllieinOrange · 18/12/2011 10:44

OMG! My dizziness knows now bounds!
Just opened up my lovely destination print from NOTHS after agreeing proof etc and DH has pointed out that I have included a completely wrong location and to make matters worse, its the one relating to where we got married. Nooooooo! I put another country house closeby beginning with the same letter where my parents go to regularly for dinners/plays etc!!!!!!! What was I thinking?
DH thinks its hysterical. I nearly cried!

OllieinOrange · 18/12/2011 10:45

No bounds - not now bounds! Im all of a tizz!

pickledsiblings · 18/12/2011 10:52

Goodmorning wise ones Smile.

What a great night you guys had, I love dancing! Outfits sound spectacular, did anyone take photos or is that just too uncool?

Great that you have a 'down' day Annie. Are you working next week?

Emo, has DH gotten rid of his tash then? Nespresso machine would be nice.

Ollie, bought the new teeny Kindles for DD and MiL and so wanted to touch the screens - it's frustrating isn't it? Although they are so easy to read and hold, much better than the ipad for that.

Have lovely Sundays all. DH has taken the boys to rugby and DD is practising her piano as I type...don't you just love Sunday mornings Smile. Looking forward to the big opening on Thursday.

Wan, hope DS has a great day - you are such a dedicated mummy, he's so lucky to have you Smile.

pickledsiblings · 18/12/2011 10:56

Oh Ollie, don't cry. You and your DH really are a perfect match Smile.

ReineDeSaba · 18/12/2011 11:41

morning lovely ladies..

thank you, thank you for a brilliant Mini Meet red , marsha annie and ants I had a ball..and an extra thank you to ants for getting me home Smile ..I have a severely challenged sense of direction(as proved by getting lost on the way there, even though I had been there before [sceptical]

You'll be pleased to hear 'colours' and Wendy were both mentioned..we missed you emo and actually talked about what a stunner you are so don't get down about a couple of Xmas pounds..we all know how that feels!

Everyone looked totally knockout and I laughed a lot.Georgeous company. Was quite 'unusual' clientele last night,my personal favourite being the lady of a certain age(i.e mine!)who was wearing pleather trousers and a leopardskin top which she pulled further and further down her shoulders as the evening progressed!

Was impressed annie and marsha held out for more dancing especially with the blue shoes! ants I need to see more of you 'fierce' griming Grin

DBil flew in from the States this a.m to find me monosyllabic on the couch, rallied round for bacon and eggs but can feel myself fading fast and have to negotiate Trafalgar square later,.

wan send some of your baking my way..I'm craving carbs.

ReineDeSaba · 18/12/2011 11:44

sorry wan that was a please send me..
(always on at the DDS with regards to please and thankyous!)
