Well my OTK hunt is over! Went to R&B to try the 5050s and they were.... Shocking! Way too baggy in the leg and wrinkly at the ankle, and that was over my j brands so they would be worse with skirts. The suede ones were a tighter fit and looked good, but I wanted leather so regretfully they were a no (though not ruling out for future!)
So, I was idly looking round Dune and found the ones. They are zip back and leather all round so fit very nicely, and the leather is thicker than the 5050s so I think they will hold their shape better and won't stretch. They fit well over jeans and without and were in the sale so all in all I am very happy! DH will be even happier as although I got the green light for the 5050s I think he was a leetle alarmed by the price :)
That said, red they may look absolutely amazing on you as they do on Wendy, though I do wonder if she has had them tailored to fit as they really were big on me and at a size 10 I must be twice her size!
Cobalt J Brand 811s arrived too and they fit well, teensy bit roomy round the waist but always the way when you have, ahem, generous thighs and a smallish waist. A good day for shopping!

As for being organised, I started my Xmas shopping in
August as have spent the last two Xmases pregnant and knackered, running round last minute without even wine as a comfort. This year I just wanted to attempt to cope with two kids relax a bit!
