Well my visit to nice hairdressers didn't go to plan. Dh late home from work so couldn't look after dd so I had to take her with me. Then she fell asleep in the car on the way and I couldn't wake her up and had to carry a sleeping bundle in with me (in a blizzard).
Only place to put her was on the sofa in the waiting area where she spread out like a starfish so noone else could sit down.
After what seemed like an eternity dh came to collect her- phew!

Bloss, teaching Y9/10/11 Chemistry. Wanted something part-time but they needed more so they have offered 3 full days Tue/Wed/Thurs, a 100 minute lesson in the middle of Monday and finish at lunch time on Friday. Also, don't have to be there for morning registration and can leave straight after last lesson so no meetings. It is only for a term so I should be able to manage and they are paying 100% and not 0.8 so I am really rather pleased.

Marsha, I've been watching The Slap and enjoying it. Must catch up with this week's episode.

If you really want to know...

The school is a 1500 on roll Upper School and is very nice. The kids are fairly spirited and the staff seem industrious and v. professional. The Head sounds marvellous and has initiated such things as a Youtube channel, loads of twitter feeds and music mix tapes complete with his own jingles that play in the dining hall. I am sure I will love it. I hope you know that you inspired me to go for it Bloss with your renewed passion.

I also have good news, my contract is being extended, for how long is still to be determined but hopefully a year. And... I asked to drop to 3 days a week and they said yes! Blinking unheard of. So I shall finally have a bit of breathing space, it's been a bit too hectic for my liking recently. Plus I can go back up to 4 days if I want, so might do that when ds1 starts school in September and we can't go swanning off on Fridays.

Yup, tis Apuski. Someone else has namechanged to a v similar name and become prolific, got fed up getting confused about where I'd posted! Time for a change anyway.

I never ever get heartburn apart from when pregnant and although it wasn't dreadful, all three have had thick dark hair at birth.

Have finished my Christmas shopping today so feeling rather pleased. Just have to pick up a reserved item and then wrap everything. Have also ordered all food and bought cards, wrap and tags. Why isn't there a [smug]?

Slept in a chair in pg 1 because heartburn was so bad. Was sent for a scan to see if dd was breech, consultant saw heartburn on my notes and said why hadn't I bee. Given ranitidine (Zantac). Life changing. Get it! You can buy OTC.
