Hello all.

Thanks for house congrats. Am itching to show the link but not comfortable to do so here, coud show it all to you on my iPhone at the mu but of course will be in Australia!!! It is in a lovely leafy street of heritage houses, perfect for us but with scope for minor improvement and two mins walk from lovely neighbourhood primary.

WAN I was signed off for the last three weeks of my pg and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Got a chest infection that I couldn't kick. Never felt rested or well throughout my second, work and a toddler so hard to manage. Newborn was soooooo much easier, and I say this as somoeone with hideous post delivery probs that put me in hospital for three weeks. Still easier than being pg!! Hang in there.

Njc SNAP was about to link this.

Njc SNAP was about to link this. Btw the lady who did my 12 season analysis is coming in Jan. for anyone yet to have colours done I'd strongly recommend. The lipstick and blush suggestions are uncannily accurate.

To be honest Amber, I'm not that surprised. I'm sure she will help out a bit, but it will be on her terms and when she says rather than being able to give me a clear commitment in terms of what she could offer. Its a long standing thing really as NJC says.

roary the house sounds lovely, and good that you can add your own mark to the place without major work needing doing. Glad things are going well for you.

Just checked out WIT, am a bit Hmm at the Pandora collaboration.

vinorganicchemist · 08/12/2011 03:33

Thanks for the hellos again. What in earth is a Wendy? Goodness am so out of touch!!
Ds okay but a little unsettled and I feel guilty for not seeing much of him. I will put pic up when I'm on a laptop. He's acting a bit strangely right bow, mega obsessive best desk, bit concerned
In other news i love grey and layered uniqlo heattech grey, American vintage great and a cashmere charcoal grey top with cashmere leopard grey scarf from last winter. Feel calmer in shades of grey, and just found out my last years best buy of grey coat frm matches that zembo kindly swapped with me!
I know it is cheeky but I could be free on 17th if it is in London...? I never did make it beforen am woefully lacking style right now so ill be easy to spot. Better go or won't get up in time by 6! I shall return

vinorganicchemist · 08/12/2011 03:34

Sorry am so bad at typing on phone

vinorganicchemist · 08/12/2011 03:37

Thanks for area recommendation carciofi

Running in before the school run to say New Years Eve (the film) was v enjoyable. Nothing new in terms of plot and cos I've seen Valentine's Day, I found myself trying to guess the plot overlaps but some funny and touching moments (and Zac Efron's dancing at the end was brilliant - that boy can throw some moves!)

How was Book Club Red?
Roary house sounds lovely.

Day at home today packing and wrapping presents for our UK trip. Hope the snow holds off though! Back later.

blossoming · 08/12/2011 07:49

Morning all.
roary, winter has settled in here now. Wind and hailstones and absolutely freezing. Thought of your new street and warm weather when I couldn't sleep this morning. Sounds gorgeous. I'm so glad things seem to be fitting into place for you.

wideawakenurse · 08/12/2011 08:02

Morning.

Hope the weather isan't too dreadful Bloss. Lots of warnings on the forecast this morning I see. We are supposed to be heading to Cumbria this weekend to see the in-laws, weather permitting.

Film sounds good ollie, hope you have a productive day.

Vin, here is Wendy for you.

fashionspy · 08/12/2011 09:28

Hello! I know some of you have mentioned the Finchley Park dress in the past.. just thought I'd let you know that the GP sale has started today. The discounts aren't huge yet as the sale has only just started but better than nothing Grin

FritziGreenEyes · 08/12/2011 10:08

bloss Hope you are all wrapped up and there won't be any snow until the Christmas holidays.

wan Please rest up! I'm Shock at your mother's attitude (read your birthday thread too). If only we lived nearer I could send over my Mum who is here today and keeping DD busy while I try to finish my project. We have our differences but I know when push comes to shove my parents will be there. Could you send DH and DS to your inlaws for the weekend and just rest and sleep?

ollie Have fun on your trip! Hope you'll find the time for a leisurely browse around JL.

Congrats MrAmber!

vin You will love Wendy. But be prepared to spend a lot of time clicking on her many lovely outfits and youtube clips!

roary The area your new house is in sounds divine. I can just picture you sashaying around in floaty maxi dresses Grin.

Freezing here today. Dressed in layers of grey cashmere with red skinnies and biker boots Smile.

FritziGreenEyes · 08/12/2011 10:10

Just got an email from Wrap: They have a pre-sale with up to 60% off.

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 10:13

Morning all!

WAN sorry if you feel let-down/disappointed. Even with it being a long-running issue, it must still be difficult for you. Let DH and the in-laws bear the burden this weekend. Fantastic that DS' days can be upped at nursery and hope the MW was sympathetic.

MrsCB the Roxy is fairly true to size - I was a bit in-between the 8 and the 10, so went for the 10 to be sure I could have more than one layer underneath if necessary and that it didn't flatten my ample bosom. Hope you love it.

Vin do join us on the 17th if you can.

Rozza Grin your house sounds divine. Limit your profile and show us your pics!

Outfit sounds great for tomorrow Pickled, everything crossed for you.

Great news for DH Amber.

Sounds like the film would be just the tonic Ollie.

Book club was lovely - got to know everyone else a bit and is a great group of people. As I always do when meeting new people, I drank a shade too much and now feel decidedly ropey.

Our old kitchen is being knocked into the new one and all the windows/doors are going in today. Disruptive, but real progress so exciting too. So far we've managed to come in under budget so should be able to do all the other bits we want to do to the rest of the house (be gone, 1970s fitted wardrobes with faux shutters and no storage).

Hypothetically speaking, if you were going to buy a pair of 5050s, would you go for the leather fronted or the suede fronted pair?

wideawakenurse · 08/12/2011 10:19

I don't mind going fritzi, DH will drive and it's only for 2 nights.

I have been over dosing on Wendy. Grin Makes me realise how amazing the brands are in the US. I love the following that she owns:

All her handbags
Her sequin skirt in "Holiday Pairings".
5050's
Theory leather jacket
The Gilet and the cuff she wears with it in "Holiday Pairings"
Chris and Mike grey hooded sweater.

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 10:19

And also, fantastic that you can make the meet-up Reine - really looking forward to meeting you!

wideawakenurse · 08/12/2011 10:24

Great news on the building work red, and that you should be able to do some other stuff too. How much fun can you have fantasising over new wardrobes with perfect storage...heavenly! Glad the book club went weel, sounds like you are really making great friends and finding your feet in your new home.

If someone was to say, sort of, I dunno, accidentally buy some 5050's then I'd say go with the leather for practical reasons and being classic. But then I don't know anyone who would order them. Whistles and looks to the ceiling.

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 10:29

I'd be inclined to agree with you WAN, pointless really though. Further justifies with words classic and practical. Am very much looking forward to the rest of the house being done. We've set Easter as our mental deadline; I hadn't realised how hard it would be doing it all and living here at the same time.

No idea why, but your post made me a bit weepy; PMT combined with a hangover I guess..!

wideawakenurse · 08/12/2011 10:46

It'll be the thought of buying the 5050's, it would bring a tear to my eye too. Grin

OllieinOrange · 08/12/2011 10:58

Red if I was giving advice to a "friend", I would tell said "friend" to buy the leather fronted 50/50s, especially if they would make her happy. Just imagine how the "friends" heart would skip a beat everytime she looked at them across a, (hmmm, just picking a random example out of thin air....) building site of a house refurb?
Im just saying

How cold is it going to be in the SW this WE? Its so mild here. Should I bring my duvet coat (black so bit draining but toasty) or my KM navy moleskin funnelneck? WE to include trip to farm park, long walk, casual lunch out and hopefully the inside of one or two shops!

I should be packing and wrapping.

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 11:01

You two are awful holding on the phone to Russell and Bromley. It's been getting colder and colder here Ollie - definitely bring your duvet coat.

FritziGreenEyes · 08/12/2011 11:03

red Leather fronted. Go and get them Grin

redllamayellowllama · 08/12/2011 11:10

They're gorgeous Annie, but my chunky calves need the fabric backing of the 5050s in order for me to get them on - I wouldn't get my legs into those.
