Bloss, thanks for the humidifier, it just arrived.

Sprogger, are you from Vancouver? Lovely place.

Congrats on the new house, Roary, that was quick work.

Ollie, were you looking for a snood? Cocoa Cashmere have them and they are 40% off.

I have no idea what season I am but I look and feel drab in grey.

I got a 40% off code from My-Wardrobe and a cheque from my dad arrived this morning, so I copied MrsCB and ordered the MIH Oslos. Really like this blouse but even with 40% off it is still expensive. Is this a good alternative? I need something to go with the velvet jeans now!

carciofi · 07/12/2011 11:17

Sprogger, I like your raincoat, warm and it has a belt!

blossoming · 07/12/2011 12:01

Hope it makes a difference carciofi.
rufus, I can't believe it! I paid £550 for mine! 6 years ago.
I am still feeling dreadful. Have had a croissant in between classes.

No My-W code for me. Grump. I've just been paid and I am in the mood to spend money and everything! Areas of need; daytime smarter footwear, perhaps a jumper, new pair of jeans (could be 811s or other alternative, could do with another pair of indigo jeans as mine are exceptionally faded)

I think the Pure shirt is a lovely alternative Carciofi, I actually think I prefer it.

Hope you enjoy tonight Ollie, I'm keen to see that too, love a good schmaltzy Christmas film.

I meant to ask you, Fritzi, are you all prepared for your trip?

redllamayellowllama · 07/12/2011 12:26

And also, congratulations on finding and buying a house Roary - so exciting.

Yes, get well soon Bloss. Bloody school and their bug breeding capacities....

Hello.

Avidly compiling a My-W wishlist just in case I win the competition! Oh and because I can't have normal clothes it is a collection of the ultimate handbags/shoes/scarfs. It is heavenly!

Bit of an eventful few days here, fainted in the lift on the way to work yesterday. Got checked out, seems my heart rate has been really fast. I had this with DS too, as I have a heart condition that seems to get worse in pregnancy. Tried to take DS out today, but fainted again in M&S. So, so mortifying. But the staff were lovely and entertained DS whilst I waited for DH to come and get us. Not my most dignified moment as you can imagine. Bit of a wake up call though, I need rest etc. Will be ringing midwife and GO later to get some proper time of work and going ask my Mother if she can help with DS in the week every now and again. Fingers crossed.

Fascinated by all this color talk. I thought I might be a soft summer, but I am nothing like KM. Totally confused by it all. Although a friend did say the other day now much navy suited me.

Big waves to everyone, have been useless at keeping up.

njc Thanks for that link. I know I am a Summer, probably soft or cool I think.

MarshaBrady · 07/12/2011 13:52

Oh WAN you poor thing, please do take lots of care. Let your family help you as much as possible.

I am trying to find a soft angora jumper that doesn't have polyamide. Impossible.

carciofi · 07/12/2011 13:55

Oh Wan, take care of yourself! And Bloss, get well soon.

Interesting link, NJC. I think I am a cool summer.

I didn't get time to try the Oslos on yesterday but there is a size guide here. I bought the Paris jeans in the summer and they were true to size, I bought the same size as I wear in Sevens/CoH.

Red, if you see anything you like on My-W, I could order for you and you could send me the money by Paypal.

Christmas trees are half price on House of Fraser.

OllieinOrange · 07/12/2011 14:13

WAN Any chance you can get signed off for the rest of the pregnancy? Really feel for you.

Phase Eight and Kew have started their sales btw.

Thanks all, I am feeling ok though...sort of resolute that things cannot continue the way they have been so although its annoying, I sort of feel better for it. Ollie, I am seeing the GP next week, have booked in to see one who is very kind so I am hoping certainly I can be signed off between now and xmas.

Bloss hope you are feeling better soon.

marsha did you ever find that Vince Jumper that Wendy was wearing, the stripey one?

Thinking about your meet up on the 17th, cocktails at The Hawksmoor, Covent Garden would be a good starting place.

MarshaBrady · 07/12/2011 14:30

Thanks so much NJC you have saved my eyes. (Little ds2 is ill and asleep all day so I am looking around). I thought there must be a reason as all of them have the same breakdown 70/30.

WAN I haven't found exactly that Vince jumper. Lots like it. I really love the roll neck and slouchiness of it. Am on the look out!

Thanks for the tip on a place. I must admit I am drawing a blank, so will definitely check that one out.

Does anyone own and love flares? I'm not sure I can do it.

MarshaBrady · 07/12/2011 14:30

I hope everything goes well at the GP and you get signed off WAN, big hugs.

notyummy · 07/12/2011 14:36

WAN - just echoing everyone else in sending you good wishes and hopng you get the chance to rest.

I have flares Marsha, but they are fitted around the thigh - the TS Jessies. They are flares, but they are not not the full on 1975 version IYSWIM. A lot of love from the reviewers here. I have the Tall version.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 07/12/2011 15:17

Ooh thanks NY just had a look and the TS site has those for £15 on sale. Shame they are out of stock. They look really nice.

MarshaBrady · 07/12/2011 15:18

o they are the petite ones. Will see if the normal ones go on sale.

notyummy · 07/12/2011 15:47

I think the US site may have them. I have the 28/34 leg, to let me wear with heels.

OP posts:
blossoming · 07/12/2011 17:14

Thanks for your get well wishes.
I am feeling perkier as I tried on my new J Brands and they are perfect. I sized up. Who cares? Also the new Jigsaw top is great. Nice long length, but skims lumps and bumps, of which I have many. But size down!
Talking of my lumps and bumps, the Whistles dress I bought Saturday has to go. It is too tight and very unflattering. Can't believe I didn't see it when I tried it on. Will have to try ebay as have thrown out the receipt.
marsha I think you could carry off flares with your style and figure.
wan, how awful for you. I can't imagine. Hope you can get a good long rest.

AmberNectarine · 07/12/2011 18:13

Ooh, Wendy alert!
