Oh, those tights are shocking. You'd think someone would advise her on that. Also agree with NJC black is not for her, what season is she?

roary · 07/12/2011 07:12

The tights person could have a word about blush and eyeliner.

AmberNectarine · 07/12/2011 07:21

Congrats on finding a house roary! Missed that in my horror over the shiny tights. When will you be moving in?

blue2711 · 07/12/2011 07:43

That's very exciting, roary! Congratulations!

Liked Kate's dress but I want the person to talk to her about tights, liner, blush and hair length!

OllieinOrange · 07/12/2011 08:01

Great news about the house roary.

We now always have a Nordland Christmas tree which hardly sheds any needles. worth paying for imo! 3 years ago we had one which was almost bald by the 25th Dec so we then switched to Nordlands. A Mum at school got hers from Ikea yesterday, it cost 20 euros and she got 19 euros back in vouchers to use in January so effectively it cost one euro. Good deal I thought!

Boys have the afternoon off school. Is it wrong that I plan to get them to help me decorate the tree - and then plonk them in front of the tv so they can watch their new Cars2 dvd so I can er, re-decorate it? Shamless I know!

Going to see the New Years Eve film tonight with Book Club - I won't be wearing shiny tights tho!

blossoming · 07/12/2011 08:04

Morning all. How 's a girl to lose those last pesky pounds? Stomach bug anyone? Ugh.
On a positive note, phone has arrived and is very cool.
Lol at rufus at the Chanel counter! How strange. Pleased I got my 'baby Chanel' when I did. What's the starting price these days?
Agree re KM. Outfit didn't work for me either.
Back later.

bloss Step away from the scales! I think there is something in Jillian's Making the Cut about losing those last "vanity pounds" (her words, not mine!)

Is Kate an Autumn? Where is njc?

No fake Christmas tree here either. We went to a Christmas tree plantation place and DH cut ours. The woody scent in our living room is lovely and so far it hasn't shed any needles. My parents always do the IKEA-return-your-tree thing too, ollie.

roary Wohoo, that is fantastic news! Do you need to do any redecorating? Which reminds me: Where is verity? Anyone still in touch?

notyummy · 07/12/2011 08:44

I am a fellow Zara dress sufferer Sprogger. Look great on the hanger but not on me - I think it is mainly the proportions too that I struggle with.

Blue - Unfortunately I don't know who we ordered the tree from - DH did it before he departed abroad. I am almost certain it was done via a search on Amazon though, because he showed me some options.

Ollie - Thanks for the tip on the Nordman. Will try and persuade DH next year. He is quite 'bah humbug' about real trees though! Not about the rest of Christmas though - I usually get some lovely presents!!

Roary - what exciting news about the house!

It is pretty cold here today. I am in Jigsaw grey pencil skirt with fitted grey blouse, black longline cardie, opaques and black heels. Snow on its away aparently

20 euros is a great price for a real tree. We can't find anything under £50 for the size we would want, which is why DH is poo pooing the idea (given that we are not actually here for Christmas, as well!)

I am in trousers. Black Gsp modern boot cuts I think. Look great with the White Co top. Sniffly but not dowdy. Hopefully!

blossoming · 07/12/2011 09:11

Sniffly? I meant snuggly!

FritziGreenEyes · 07/12/2011 09:39

Sitting at my desk and unable to get any proper work done as all the Christmas cards, wrapping paper, parcels etc are scattered around me. I am even contemplating getting the sewing machine out and making this T-shirt for DD.

Ok, need to tidy NOW!

They are 1475 euro Bloss!
Like the KM dress, but think the tights probably look much better in RL. Waaay too much blush though.

sprog Err, I don't have this particular book just listen sometimes to her podcasts. Think it's a combination of the right food and exercise that will help to shift those last few pounds. From what I remember for some people the problem is that their calorie intake is actually too and some bodies react by storing fat around the belly. Here is the book.

FritziGreenEyes · 07/12/2011 10:24

too low... sorry...

I'm not sure about that dress on KM. It's not as streamlined and chic as her other stuff which looks better on her.

There were some trustfn types at the party on Sat. Like MiC, but ten years on Grin. Jeez it was fun, that life.

Reine excellent! Be great to see you. Blue there's next March too. You'll be fine, you have great taste. Missoni dress, swoon.

Bloss ha reminds me of Devil Wears Prada.. 'I'm one stomach flu away from my goal weight'

Great news on house Roary! Did you go for the Aussie pool?

Sprogger chunky crew neck can be a bit bulkifying I think.

Gosh looks cashmere dress looks warm and snuggly.

Grey is great. I love lots of different shades of the same palette. I love it when I have enough clothes of a colour to do that.

NY I had to go out at 8pm to get milk last night. I thought of you and your freezing, dark cold runs. Amazing will power you have.
