Morning everyone.

Fantastic work on the meet up ollie. I'm happy to go with the majority-just looking forward to seeing you all and eating scones

Apuski- we are all go on the house front- got our offer accepted yesterday and should be moving in September! So much quicker than I was expecting-dd hasn't even got a place at the nursery where we are moving to Confused. Hope things happen for you soon.

Fleecy- you look amazing on your fb photos. Not long for you at all now Grin

Ollie- hope your ds feel better about school today

Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays and that there's no more flashing from bloss. We are going to the isle of wight next week with my parents, sister, bil, baby niece plus our collective dogs. Should be an ordeal fun Grin

MrsCampbellBlack · 16/08/2011 07:46

Morning - off to Cribbs this morning will keep eyes peeled for Dolcee and Red Smile

Have ordered this in tan leopard from preview.

Saw a lovely crepe de chine shirt in jigsaw which may purchase today.

Have been suffering on hideous anti-biotics with silly sinuses but not worked so now off to see consultant - well next week some time and will hopefully get them finally sorted. Have had no sense of smell since october of last year which has been rather dull.

FritziGreenEyes · 16/08/2011 08:42

bloss Have a great day at the beach today! How about this dress for work?

pickledsiblings · 16/08/2011 09:18

Big wave from sunny Italy.

Having a lazy morning in bed before heading out on the search for my missing bag. On the upside, passports weren't in it but quite a lot of cash. Wish me luck.

Red, great to get some work.
Apuski, best of luck with your double quest.
Icey, bring baby scan picture to meet-up, I'm guessing it's a bit blurred.
Bloss, keep your boobs under control today Grin.

'Hello' to everyone else.

FritziGreenEyes · 16/08/2011 09:22

pickled Hope your bag turns up! Enjoy the sunshine Smile

On my quest for new handbag I came across 25% off at Oushka. Code: oushka25. Which reminds me: Where is carciofi? Hope you are ok!

FritziGreenEyes · 16/08/2011 09:38

mrscb Maybe you want to check out some animal print at Oasis while shopping today?

ReineDeSaba · 16/08/2011 11:00

morning everyone, hope the 'holiday ladies' in particular are enjoying sunshine..distinctly underwhelming in London considering 2 weekends of garden weddings on the horizon..

fritzi spotty dresses on me give me the heebie jeebies as I think I look more twee or middle aged but I saw a woman wearing the one you linked to with cherry red pumps and she looked stunning Envy

mrsCB are you going to indulge in any snakeprint for AW?

well done on the work red that's brilliant!

apuski I'm sure you will get one of the jobs..inevitable if you are already moving in Sept! Grin

now I will have to get onto facebook so I can see fleecy's lovely pics.

are you staying out post tea on 8th oct..would love to come a little later(already have a full day course booked)?

ollie I am so dopey at the moment I read mary portas as mary poppins!

PlumSykes · 16/08/2011 13:03

Bloss, have bought the Garnier BB cream that Sarah Vine was raving about it. Is good, coverage-wise, but not terrifically long-lasting. Worth a try for a tenner though.

OllieinOrange · 16/08/2011 13:10

Just purchased a nice (but bit overpriced) collarless shirt (v thin charcoal and white striped, v thick soft cotton) to wear with bf jeans into Autumn, from a boutique near home - from Maison Scotch range. Flicking through the catalogue at the till and saw this poncho - do we like? Am thinking its not too long and more cardi than poncho but not sure about sleeve design - and by that I mean lack of! I was looking for chunky grey knitwear....

Those of you looking for navy coats/peacoats etc they have some nice ones on the same website here

Meet up news - the lovely, lovely Emo is going to do a reccy of the venue I emailed you all about and then we'll make a decision!

OllieinOrange · 16/08/2011 13:15

Reine and others who were asking - the plan is for those of us who are staying over for the Meet Up (and any locals!) to carry on somewhere else but as yet, no idea where! Would be lovely if you could join us later on?

OllieinOrange · 16/08/2011 13:17

Just looking at Fritzi's link and saw this blue dress here - nice.

FritziGreenEyes · 16/08/2011 13:17

ollie Snap! Was looking at Maison Scotch website this morning. Like some of their stuff but think you would have to try cardi/poncho on to see how sleeves would work.

notyummy · 16/08/2011 14:13

Ollie - meant to get back to you, but just to say that all your ideas look good. I am happy to go with the flow and I love afternoon tea!! I am not sure whether I will be staying over yet or getting the last train home, but I hope to be able to stay for a few drinks after tea.

wideawakenurse · 16/08/2011 14:51

Just lost a long post.

Great news on the house front ice-cream. Apuski, we are still not under offer yet. Lots of viewings but we keep coming up against a location issue. Our house is very close to a small music venue. It does not cause is any issue as it's totally sound proof, but it's putting buyers off. Buy, we have a great central town location. I am trying not to stress to much, although te viewings seem to be slowing dow now too. Hoping things pick up in a week or two again.

ollie thank you for all your organising so far. I am happy to go with temne majority too, am just looking forward to seeing everyone.

fleecy my highlights sound similar to yours, it's an expensive business. Will check out your pictures later. Can't believe how fast your pregnancy has gone!

dolceebanana · 16/08/2011 15:07

Well, rather surprisingly, given her comment earlier Dolce did run into mrscb at Cribbs!! Spooky! Lots of things like this keep happening to me recently...Yesterday I opened some old boxes we've had stored in the garage for 3 years trying to find a buggy part, and instead found some old photos...one of a friend who I haven't seen for about 5 years, and she rang last night! Coincidence or what?

Not sure I can make 8 Oct yet, whereabouts are you meeting?

OllieinOrange · 16/08/2011 19:24

Dolcee thats nice re bumping into MrsCB. Will PM about the meet up.

Calling NY quick question for you - what was the website you used to book your hotel room for the last meet up?

Pickled any luck finding your bad? So sorry that something like that happened whilst you were away.
Icecream great news about the house. Hope yours shifts soon *WAN, its a pain keeping it all tidy for viewings!
Fritzi thats funny about looking at Maison Scotch website today too.

redllamayellowllama · 16/08/2011 20:37

Um, I was at Cribbs in the early afternoon. That would have been a real coincidence. I tried on the leather skinnies in TS and I bow to both MrsCB and Annie for pulling them off. Managed to be simultaneously baggy and tight in all the wrong places. Had to show DH for comedy value and oh, how he laughed.

I did see a lovely dress in FC that is the same cut as my beloved navy maxi that I'll probably get here. Lovely leopard print, peter pan collared, belted number in Whistles that somewhat drained me.

Hope you had some joy pickled - what a pin.

Fingers crossed that someone can see beyond the venue WAN - if you loved it enough to buy it, someone else certainly will too; our first flat was really quirky and impractical and I thought we'd never sell it, but someone eventually fell in love with it as we did, in spite of all this.

Fantastic news Icey!

OiO - the grey striped P8 cardie was hanging v prominently in JL today and I had a try of it on your behalf; it's a real oddity as it looked lovely on the hanger, but when open was a real shapeless waterfall and then when done up actually looked quite promising - think it could work quite well on you as you have the extra height I sorely lack.

Thanks for the congrats - am looking forward to getting my teeth stuck in tomorrow.

OllieinOrange · 16/08/2011 20:42

Ive got a new favourite tv show - the great british bake off on bbc2 now. Cupcaketastic!

blossoming · 16/08/2011 21:15

Had a great day on the beach. No boobs on show. So tired now (and had a few drinks during the day..)

Hope you got your bag back pickled.
Great news re jobs red and apuski.
Sorry your sinuses are still troubling you mrscb.
Thanks for the feedback plum.

red, my bikinis are still in the case! I love my seafolly and White co swimsuits too much! (Are we costume twins fritzi?) My sister was in a bikini today, she's very tanned but carrying loads of weight. She's very confident though.

Hi to everyone else, and where are you carciofi?

Ambernj1 · 16/08/2011 21:28

Evening all!

Office visit went well - baby slept all the way through! I wore Uniqlo skinny cargos, LK Bennett leopard print top and TS ballet flats. Didn't think I looked too flabby! The baby and I took in Selfridges and the surrounding area afterwards as planned - bought the MJ scarf in the orange colour way, 'tis lovely! Also bought this vest as a useful basic and this cheapy belt in tan as all of my 'fat' trousers are falling down but my normal ones are still a tad tight. No luck with the snakeskin Zara tee - it was actually really glittery and looked a bit cheap, so the search for perfect snake print continues... I'm also on the look out for a pony skin style skinny leopard belt if anyone sees one on their travels!

Was reminded how much I love the city I live in today after all of last weeks troubles, a good day!

Also dropped into the new Forever 21 store on Oxford Street. It's definitely fast fashion but would be a good place to go for a one season wonder, if you can gird your loins enough to fight your way through the million teen girls!

Saw an example of a trend that just would not work on anyone today. Uber trendy girl on the tube wearing a lovely outfit down to her ankles, here it all went wrong. She was wearing something much like these, with ankle socks... Oh dear.

OllieinOrange · 16/08/2011 21:40

Hi Red - love the FC dress - wonderful colour. Would be a great meet up dress Smile? I was looking at their Fanfare Jersey dress here but it seem v short unless model is 6 foot 7?! Thank you for trying the P8 cardi on - I think I'll order it via John Lewis and see how I like it - i'm not especially tall (5.6) but quite like wearing things done up (!) esp as our house can get a bit drafty in the depths of winter! I missed your job news - congratulations.

blindassassin · 16/08/2011 21:40

Evening all, I can never keep up with this thread but love following what you are all up to/wearing Smile.

Blossoming Sounds like you're having a lovely holiday, you're not missing much weatherwise here.

Pickled so sorry about the bag. It's horrible losing something personal, and doubly so when there was a lot of money involved. Sad Hope you can get it back.

WAN Keeping fingers crossed for you re house selling. We had exactly the same as Red when selling our first joint house. It was a quirky layout, but immaculately renovated so we paid over the odds for it. When coming to sell, we thought we'd end up losing money on it, but a couple fell in love with it as we did so all ended well. Frustrating at the time though.

How funny that MrsCB and Dolcee did bump into each other. I have this silly idea I might bump into another W&Aer on the rare occasions I am out shopping in RL

Ollie that Maison Scotch web site looks to have some lovely things? Am particularly taken with this coat in navy which could be the answer to my school run in the rain prayers. Do you know if they deliver to the UK, and also how does the sizing come up do you find? I am an 8-10 normally.

Have ordered a few bits from the AW Wrap collection including Ollie's Liv Blouse and this biker cardi, and Bloss' spot top which I'm quite excited about. Will have to love them to keep all though as quite ££.

Am also very excited as have finally taken the plunge and booked a colour analysis with HoC for the end of August. I suspect I am a soft autumn, but we'll see. Should probably not be buying anything else until then Grin.

pickledsiblings · 16/08/2011 22:03

Thanks for all the good wishes - I GOT MY BAG BACK!!

As you were...

ApuskiDusky · 16/08/2011 22:07

Brilliant pickled, good searching skills!

Blindassassin, I've just seen that an 'autumns' thread has started, similar to the 'springs' thread, so have a look either before or after the consultation. I also have my eye of a couple of jumpers from Wrap, but refuse to buy any more knitwear until September at least.

blindassassin · 16/08/2011 22:21

Thanks for spotting that Apuski, will check it out.

Pickled that's fantastic about your bag.

Red also meant to say congrats on the new job.

Nice vest Ambernj1 and a bargain too. I really love that electric blue colour and wear it a lot (don't think Autumns are supposed to though are they? Confused Sad). Despite being a houlihan lover I also rate the Uniqlo skinny cargos. They've got just the right amount of stretch, and are full length so will be easier to wear going into Autumn.
