Evening all!

OP posts:
FrancesFarmer · 07/09/2011 18:05

Hi again,

Glad to see there are other Pure fans here. I'm tempted by this tunic. Worn with jeans or as a short dress. What do you think? I'm not sure which colour is nicest - I have a million black garments already, the red might be a bit too conspicuous. I'm leaning towards the praline but is it a bit mousy?

blossoming · 07/09/2011 18:17

Link frances?
this is the merino polo neck carciofi.
dolcee, me and dh were discussing the fact that we had our best holiday ever with DS this year, although he does still have the occasional meltdown. He is sleeping longer, and reading, and is much more confident since he started rugby training last year. He won his race in school sports, and since then he's not afraid so much of the bigger boys, and last night in rugby, yes in the wind and rain, he was 'tagging' the other boys, like I've never seen him do before. He is obsessed with rugby and can't wait for the world cup! Dh the same. And yours?

FrancesFarmer · 07/09/2011 18:24

Oops. Here is the tunic

ApuskiDusky · 07/09/2011 18:37

Very nice Frances. I have filled my Pure basket, but am holding off until I have properly worked out my working wardrobe and seen what extras are needed; but these are the bits I'm tempted by:

cardigan in tobacco

jumper in praline

boyfriend sweater in khaki

dolceebanana · 07/09/2011 19:33

Am slurping a big glass of red wine. Dh away and very exhausting swift bedtime tonight! DH likes to make them laugh before bed...I prefer a cuddle and making sure they are restful and sleepy. He's back tomorrow and then I'm out! Only PTA, but hey, don't knock it!

Oh Bloss...so pleased that DS is settling well. Funny, dh and I have discussed our ds to the cows come home too. He's quite a clever little boy, and sooo sensitive! Dh feels rugby training or something like Tai-Qwon-Do would be good for him! I think it would be nice for him to have his own 'thing' too. So will organise, as it sounds like channelling the energy pays dividends.

Love quite a bit in the Pure catalogue too.

Those things are lovely Frances!

Funny thing today..DD1 announces to all school mums/dads at the gate: 'When my mummy has another baby soon, she is going to have a boy!' ... Cue stares and questionning looks! 'No way' say I!!!! Don't think they believed me. Confused

FritziGreenEyes · 07/09/2011 19:45

bloss That's great about work making you so happy!

pickledsiblings · 07/09/2011 19:52

I'm wearing this Reiss jumper with plum skinnies and it's a good price v. nice.

NY, welcome back! Holiday sounds fab and varied and a long way from sunny Sheffield I'm sure Smile. Hope you've made up with DH . Outfit sounds lovely, as usual - great combination of colours.

Bloss, nice compliment from the BiL. Makes it even more likely that your sis is Envy.

Marsha, LOL and you 'keeping seats' - just as long as the jumpers are cashmere.

lather, saw that Hobbs coat today. Looks v. smart. Pity about the WS scarf.

Carciofi, talking of scarves, that L&L one that you are coveting is tres chic. Hope you get it as a pressie.

Amber, Grin at you saving the dear scarf for 'best'. I thought part of the rationale for buying such an item was the cost per wear Grin.

Big wave to all and have a good evening.

MarshaBrady · 07/09/2011 19:53

Hahaha Pickled. Quite Grin.

Stylelostinlabour · 07/09/2011 19:56

latherrinserepeat - 20% off hobbs from tomorrow with "autumn" if it helps

Right back to lurking as you were...

AntPants1 · 07/09/2011 20:01

Hi everyone. Have now managed to catch up.

Welcome to sandstone cat and lather.

Welcome back from holidays Bloss and NY.

Reine so sorry for your loss.

Popped into Zara today. IMG fabulous stuff! Bought this top and this scarf and this jacket:

The jacket is much more silver and shiney than it looks in the pic. I may wear it on the 8th!

Very temped by waxed jeans. Need to try on though and did not have time as had only popped out for a sandwich!!!

AntPants1 · 07/09/2011 20:05

Oh and saw these ballet flats in Jones. Really nice in RL

www.jonesbootmaker.com/main/details/Flats/00130559X95/GEORGE_SNAKE_TaupeSnake

I have decided that my work wardrobe needs:

Pencil skirt. Possibly charcoal grey or tweed or both!
Red shoes. Will peruse shop style.
Light tan sandals, perhaps with snakeskin or croc texture. Half Mary Jane ie open at sides but with buckle...to wear with my ciggarate pants. Not that I am fussy....

Off to look at shop style!!

carciofi · 07/09/2011 20:36

Pickled, I like the sweater, lovely colour. It is Wan who wants the scarf, not me (for once).

Wan, forgot to say, good news about the scan. Could you ebay the barbour and buy it again in black?

Frances, I like it, would look good with your Belstaffs. I also like the cashmere dress.

Thanks Bloss, I need a black poloneck too.

Ants, good shopping. But why do they call it a jogging blazer?!

Fritzi, I have my uggs on this evening. A fashion faux pas yet so warm. :)

Amber, you are too selfless! OK, I blame you, have ordered the top. Wink

Dolcee, congrats on the exchange. Someone asked DD1 if she'd like another brother or sister, and she said "oh God, no!". Parrotting DH, no doubt.

carciofi · 07/09/2011 20:40

Portia, hope your DD settles in soon and comes back fluent. We speak Irish when we don't want DD to understand, finally we have found a use for it! I should start teaching her a bit, in case we move back.

Carciofi, I thought it might have been WAN and then convinced myself it was you Grin.

Ooh Ants, I saw a delicious VW tweedish pencil skirt the other day, will try and find a link.

Yes Portia, I hope DD manages to make a few friends and settle in.

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/09/2011 21:16

Evening!

You all know massimo dutti now online? Some lovely lovely stuff [sits on bank cards]

OllieinOrange · 07/09/2011 21:18

Watching the girly 27 Dresses film - one of the benefits of DH being away is having total control of the remote control!!!

Not sure if this has been linked to before but i really love this Reiss top, shame about the price though! here

Another out of stock grrrrr here too - snow boots for ds's arrived and ds1's are too small but next size up are now out of stock. Now have to spend euros sending them back. That will teach me for feeling all smug about buying them so early this year!

notyummy · 07/09/2011 21:18

Love that jacket Ants!

ApuskiDusky · 07/09/2011 21:20

Quick question - I think I have sorted my outfit for tomorrow - dark brown boucle skirt, dark brown top, thick weaved purple belt and new purple shoes - but the belt is quite long and I need some way of fastening the end so that it doesn't flap about. I've put a hair tie over it, but that doesn't quite keep it tight so I lose the cinched waist look. Any suggestions?

Oops - this was the Reiss link - love the pleats and the colour here

wideawakenurse · 08/09/2011 07:41

Good morning all.

Nice top Ollie, but agree the Reiss are cheeky when it comes to prices. I have one of their tops on today - it's nice, but not wow, yet it was £60 and is a t-shirt!

I mention the barbour situation to DH carciofi, but he didn't seem sympathetic to my situation. Grin Suspect I'll be putting this to rest.

Great shopping annie. CW/Canada Square was only sort of taking off when I lived in East London, there was just a handful of shops. Sounds like its great now.

Great news Dolcee on the exchange.

Off to toddler group this morning, and then hoping to buy DS's a coat with the Gap 30% off that starts today. It's grey here today, and freezing!

AntPants1 · 08/09/2011 08:40

marsha that was the Gant dress I linked to the other day. Am tempted. Just need to try on. Also I work in canary wharf. I'll pm you my mob- maybe we could meet for coffee next tome you are in.......?

ollie love Reiss top.

So what do you all think about these shoes for my ciggarate pants?
