Evening all!

OP posts:
Ambernj1 · 25/08/2011 18:20

red have you seen these? Not sure how tall you are but I have the red and they are ankle length on me (5'5)

Will return later with wishlist (will take me a while to type up)

redllamayellowllama · 25/08/2011 18:25

Ooh, ideal Amber, I'm 5'3, so they'd be the perfect length. Will need to have a look at the shade - not sure about them once on the model, but look good in the first picture. Here are the Ksubi ones.

Ambernj1 · 25/08/2011 19:50

Ok list time:

Nice winter maxi skirt
Tan ankle boots - maybe these
Cashmere cardi (bright blue, red or plum coloured)
Couple of jersey day dresses, nice ones in FC or maybe this
Barbour international polarquilt
Leopard ponyskin belt
Grey cashmere jumper
The perfect indigo jeans, that don't fall down or give me muffin top
This Mulberry
Grey or navy trench

All I can think of at the moment...

blossoming · 25/08/2011 20:01

Just outside St Aygulf bonsoir, we come every year. Far enough from the crowds but close enough to get the boat from St Maxime. It is my day out. Ds got the bike, dh gets the beach, I get Nice and St Tropez!

wideawakenurse · 25/08/2011 20:18

I am loving all the lists - and those green 7/8ths are great amber.

Glad to hear you are going to be at the meet-up carciofi, and that your DH has had some positive news.

Bloss I continue to have holiday envy. What are you wearing tonight? Have fun in DVF!

I cannot stop thinking about limes and those slices of cheese that are pre-packaged. Luckily, the M&S at work does a lovely lime juice, but not sure I'll be able to get my hands on the cheese slices. Never had cravings with DS, so all very new to me.

I am thinking of ordering this or this for the meet up and subsequent wedding.

carciofi · 25/08/2011 20:29

Bloss, have fun tomorrow!

Wan, I prefer the IO dress, though I like Seraphine a lot. Maybe it is a girl this time? Are you going to find out the baby's sex? I found out as soon as I could.

Red, hope you can find a nursery place for your DS soon. DD1 doesn't start until Sept 21st, ages away!! I like your list.

Amber, you made me laugh with that's all I can think of for now! I got a nice leopard print belt from Boden last year, they have similar in stock this year. Do you go to the TK Maxx in Putney?

I also like this bag though it doesn't fit in with the not spending much plan.

My darlings are finally in bed, phew.

MarshaBrady · 25/08/2011 20:34

WAN I had that too last time. I craved real limes and still do when think about the idea of pg, even the word. How funny.

MarshaBrady · 25/08/2011 20:35

Mine too, Carciofi. phew. Like the bag

My cravings with dc2 were Carrs table water crackers. I would eat 2 packets a day and refuse to give any to dc1 who was just a year old then. With dc3 it was hula hoops, 4 packets at a time. God bless Jillian Michaels!

Carciofi yes, the Putney one - I am quite impressed with it! I like the Boden belts, but the dodgy turquoise belt loop puts me off. However, have just sat down with the Great Plains catalogue which came today and think I have found my belt! Very impressed that your DD2 has a bedtime - mine is still up hassling me for milk!

wan I too prefer the IO dress, would look v foxy on your bump!

My list is testament to why I will never have a capsule wardrobe! I swear I see something else I want daily. Should have married a footballer not a tax consultant.

All these meet up dress options are very stylish

carciofi · 25/08/2011 21:48

Clevery, thanks, I panic really but only in the middle of the night. :)

Amber, I try to get them both into bed by 7.30 but it doesn't always happen. There is always something I want too. It's an affliction, I tell you.

OllieinOrange · 25/08/2011 22:02

Hello from the Lego cupcake factory - nearly finished and am quite chuffed with how they look despite the faff to make!

Ambernj1 Saw this animal print belt in Mexx earlier in the week - twas v nice here
Bloss I know the area you are staying in - its lovely. DH and I used to drive down there for holidays pre-DC when he owned a Alfa Romeo convertible (and you thought you were having bad hair days!)

I need to have a good think and come up with a A/W list. I have a tendency to buy things on sight without thinking about what I need - hence my wardrobe not being quite as pulled together as I would like. Priority for now is something to wear with my Agnes's....and something for the meet up of course! Speaking of which, Fritzi your dress is perfect - print is lovely and adore that style of neckline. Esprit has some dark blue sky high shoes which may work - here?

Ambernj1 · 25/08/2011 22:10

Ooh ollie I like! Might have to pop to Covent Garden next week to see it in the flesh! Photos of cakes please!

For all though who missed out on Jalouse, I think these are rather nice!

Have had a packet of Jaffa cakes for dinner as DH is working late. The diet is going well.

rufus101 · 25/08/2011 22:14

Ah yes. I too suffer with that affliction! And I always manage to convince myself that "this purchase" is the one which will satisfy all my wardrobe needs, pull several outfits together, and ensure that I am "game on" sotospeak fashion wise. I never learn.
Carciofi that's great news about DH, glad it's worked out.
Winter Wish List!
I really want a warm down coat. Either the Barbour artic one you linked to or the North Face. I like the length of the Barbour one, so I am leaning in that direction. Will need to try on in RL.
Snow boots. (optional, but after the last winter here, essential really)
A black or dark grey very slim fitted polo neck.
A few dresses for work.
Another pair of J Brands (not sure which ones yet!)
A Bag (would love mulberry and really like that one Amber)
And black boots to wear with skinnies or short(ish) skirts and opaques.
Am dithering between the Ash boots with the skull tag or these Ash wedges which I think would be nice with skinnies.
Bloss I am going into town tomorrow afternoon and will be purchasing the lip gloss. Your opinion is good enough for me!
DH has just come in with Beshoff fish and chips. Hmm, the lovely healthy soup I had earlier is going to be undone I fear!

MarshaBrady · 25/08/2011 22:17

We all do on this thread, don't we?

Cashmere jumper
Riding boots
Plush scarf
Bag

Small list, but requires big-ish funds.

pickledsiblings · 25/08/2011 22:19

Well done Ollie, you do such a lot for your boys.

Fritzi, the dress is fab. What jacket/coat will you wear with it?

Carciofi, so pleased that things aren't as bad as they seemed but still not v. nice for DH having to see colleagues let go I'm sure. Glad you'll be at the meet up Smile.

Bloss, have fun at DVF. Have you got a nice tan?

Where are Zembo and Vin these days??

pickledsiblings · 25/08/2011 22:25

Loving all the lists.

I think I just want something leather- skirt/shorts??

redllamayellowllama · 25/08/2011 23:16

Thanks Carciofi; have everything crossed for a child not turning up on Monday as that is our only chance for a place this academic year.

Rufus I have the same affliction; you articulate it very well!

Love both the IO dresses wan and Amber linked to.

Have a wonderful time tomorrow Bloss.

Have just finished reading this book, which was so lovely; would never have picked it up but it is the next book club book. Would highly recommend.

My best friend is getting married next weekend and I am heading up on the Wednesday to help set up for the big marquee on a farm wedding. With both DCs. Am not sure this will be conducive to setting up, but I discussed the prospect of turning up on the Friday and she is having none of it. I have just collected my bridesmaid dress from the alterations place and am fairly convinced it is not so nice on me. The wedding day is also DD's 1st birthday; this, combined with happiness for my friend and her lovely husband-to-be, should ensure I will be a little teary all day!

carciofi · 26/08/2011 06:47

Rufus, aww, Beshoffs, you are making me homesick! Do you know Razz? He is a character.

Red, fingers crossed for a no show. Sounds like it will be a lovely weekend.
Thanks, I've put that book on my Amazon list.

Pickled, yes, he is relieved but feels bad for the others.

Big news, the baby slept until 6am. Hope she repeats it tonight. :o

FritziGreenEyes · 26/08/2011 07:23

Yay for baby-carciofi!!!

More work clothes for apuski. This time some Outnet bargains: pencil skirt and jacket. Could look very chic with opaques and shoeboots I think!

blossoming · 26/08/2011 07:26

Morning carciofi, that is brilliant. Hopefully that will be it now and you can start getting back to normal again.

What to wear? Actually dh has requested the White dress again.

Hi to everyone else. Loving all the posts and lists.

Ambernj1 · 26/08/2011 07:28

carciofi I am so jealous! Mine spent most of the night thrashing around angrily and whinging (we co-sleep), the only time she settled well was when I got out of bed altogether! Someone is fast-tracking themself to their cot...

On a style and beauty note I am currently sporting a very fetching leopard print fleece dressing gown and very large eye bags as I sit zombie-like on the sofa while DS watches a feature-length Thomas

FritziGreenEyes · 26/08/2011 07:45

I love the Outnet today!!!

Fab feather skirt for the spring chickens on this thread Wink

If I could be sure that metallic thread in this dress isn't scratchy, I would buy it!

Leather shorts for pickled.

Bouclé jacket for annie. And here

Also lots of N.Peal cashmere cardis.

Need to step away from my basket now!
